time fliesss... another month.. cos just got salary..next next week deepavali & hari raya...next month our department bbq.. next next month x'mas party already.. then new year.. then chinese new year..uncontrolable..

anyway.. too bo liao.. use photoshop to trim out some of my photos.. dunno how to do the combine..








my hair style really boring.. today saw the curler at watson.. wanna buy.. maybe tmw buy n try hoo....

Headache........

so long never get one-sided headache.. today kena again.. since morning..dunno why.. is it b'cos i've been blowing my hair recently ? cos after washing hair i try to dry it else wet hair make my shoulder aching ( dunno if this is the reason, to play safe.. i dry my hair )

I used to wash my hair in the morning.. cos after a night of sleep on pillow.. long hair usually will retain some smell.. u know.. ur teddy bear or "pang pang" smell on ur body n hair.. so i will definitely bath n wash my hair in the morning before i go out to work..

But then.. after washing hair.. never dry up properly.. cos morning no time to wait till it dry.. so in the train cold.. maybe that's why my shoulder pain.. like "feng se".. my mum reminded this.. so after i blow dry my hair .. now i dun get shoulder aching anymore..

long hair also troublesome.. tsk tsk.. thking of cut short...but then wat style leh.. long hair like easier.. no need much maintenance.. just leave it.. n save money.. no need cut so often.. haaa.. but when come to dye hair.. pheww.. extra charges cos based on length..


gonna have a early night today.. work out a fair bit in the gym.. now arm n leg tired.. Zzzz.. nice to sleep..

Today lunch with jen.. we went to see rings n ear rings.. she is getting married next year May .. she needs a pair of ear rings to go with her other jewelleries..one pair of diamond ear rings about $800 + to $1k.. while she looking for hers..i tested some diamond rings..cool..make me feel like wanna get married also.. haaaa


From the few i've tried..i preferred this type of diamond ring..



I dun really like those with only one whole diamond in the middle..cos everybody is wearing that type.. so boring..this one looks more casual..


The sale person said this is only 0.5+ carats.. if 1 carat will b much bigger n heavier.. the actualy 1 carat wil cost abt 13k.. woah.. so x...

Jen said her rings already got scratches.. they bought it during her ROM .. n she said rough surface not good ..scratchable..mm.. dunno also.. but i find this pair sweet..

Diary oN monday..

mm..today boss on course.. so quite happy actually.. with Tom & Jen around we have lots of fun together..we had our bird flu vaccination.. not painfull luckily..

Will b going for a excel VBA class.. so dig out my programming book.. found that my Java book borrowed by a fren was not returned to me for months..mm..some people is funny.. they borrow thing and they just forget they borrowed it.. just like some people borrow money and they "forget" all abt it either intentionally or unintentionally.. i ask from her when is aw her online.. first thing she said
" oh.. i forgot.. i din even use it actually.." can u feel what i feel ? pheww.. well.. then return to me ..

Recently.. i run a lot.. been trying to break my own record..usually i can run abt 2 - 3 km on treadmill..

Now.. i can easily run up to 4km for less than 30 minutes..( very long..) but im working twds the distance now.. shall work on the time slowly..

today.. i run until 4km.. then still not too tired.. so run extra 1 km make up to 5km.. in about 30 + minutes. < than 40 minutes.. this is considered fast for me...

wonder if i keep on pushing my limits.. i can go on to 6km..7km.. mm.. shall try.. the standard chartered marathon is 10km.. hopefully i can make up to the standard lah.. meanwhile.. exercise to keep healthy..

Tonight surely can sleep well.. cos exercise..body tired..but brain fresh..

French men.. all very huge in size.. our head if the smallest/shortest frnech man comparing to them.. maybe s'pore food not so heavy in consumption..

So they came .. walk walk see see. ask this n that.. then went to our data centres.. gladly they seem impressed with our data centres..after their visits.. our boss happy of the outcome n send the email to Jee n myself..

Sometimes feel so sian cos it's like when he is so busy with his work n forever no time for other things.. once a week go out..n no idea where to go. what to do.. walk n walk.. tiring...started to feel sian on this pat-tor thing...

Anyway.. he also no time to plan for anything.. no trips ( canot go anywhere cos not married ).. no outing ( cos work tired, dun want to do anything too tiring..).. forever watch movie.. eat n walk aimlessly....This has been like this since we know each other.. he is ok with it as he thinks company that matters.. but i started to feel so unsure...Is this wat i want ? where will this lead us to ? we dun have plans...well... no time for that i guess....

I know i cant blame him for that.. cos it's the job commitment.. but still i think maybe it's good if we can both take some time off to think it over.. wat we want out of this relationships.. i dun want to forever to just have a saturday boyfriend.. cos other time .. most of the time.. im still on my own.. so wat's the point of being taken care of just one day of the week.. maybe im looking for someone who can take care of me full time ? better ?

not sure if im being complicated...maybe im looking for different directions in life ? not sure wat it is though.. just in a very confuse stage....n feel so lonely.. dunno why...just lonely...emotionally..

I dunno if anyone has the same experience as me..i HATE my brother in law..
really a torture to stay in the same roof with him..wat's more my sis always go back home to melak n left me home alone with this ass hole..

Why i dun like him
(1) Cos his eyes always on my chest level.. can u believe it ? he suppose to be like my brother but he is still RUDE enough to do this ..Am i too sensitive ? Im not sure.. but i caught him few times.. eyes on my chest.. ASSHOLE !! i told my sis n mum abt this..my sis warn him before n yet i still caught him doing that.. his habit ? But u dun do this to ur sis in law right ? i cant accept this !!

(2) cos he is a super lousy husband to my sis.. he never take care of her financially.. he never support my sis.. he only think of his own family.. send money home.. n yet.. his wife.. he doesn't think it is his responsibility to take care of.. luckily my sis is capable else i guess my sis will be really in deep shit..

(3) Cos he is such a lazy bump.. whenever he is not working.. he will be lying/sitting whole at the sofa.. n watch TV.. watch till midnight.. even he needs to work early but still he do that..so when he is at home.. i no chance to watch my favourite program.. so i will always stay in my room n online..i felt so "xing gu".. HATE this feeling..

(4) Cos he is using my sis.. my mum n i felt this way.. cos by staying with my sis.. he is always being taken care of.. he will have place to stay.. he will have car to drive.. he dun have to support her..

(5) Cos he never say "I Love You" to my sis before.. this show he did not appreciate or cherish my sis..

It's not that we look down on him.. but he just never show us we should respect him.. my sis is hesitated to split with him cos he is her first bf and now husband..sentimental u see.. if im in her shoes.. i'll long ago kick him away..

really a torture have to bear with such a jerk in my home...ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRgggg... my mum understands me.. but she also cant help much.. cos both her daughters.. she cant b asking my sis to kick the husband out..

dunno lah.. see how long i can tahan.. or i'll go crazy...

Roast Chicken Recipe... fron AUnty Jackie

Recipes..
This is the roast chicken i used to like it so much when staying with my aunt during University days..

Roast chicken:
1 medium size chix about 1 1/2 kilos
1 heap teaspoon salt, pepper and 5 spice powder ( all mixed together)
1 teasp black soya sauce ( thick type)

Method:
After the chix is cleaned, leave to drip dry.
Rub black soya sauce all over chix, leave to drip dry again.
When almost dry, rub the mixed spices and leave for about 1 hr. If not enough time, 30 mins will do also. Put more spices in the inside of chix.
Heat oven at 200 C until the oven light goes off. This means oven is ready at the right temperature. Put chicken on a rack in a pan with the breast side facing up. ( if you don't have the special chix stand that I used) Roast for 20 mins. Then turn chix with the back facing up for another 20 mins. If chix is big, about 2 kilos, then roast for about 10 mins... total of 50 mins. To test if chix is cooked, pierce the chix between the body and the thigh with a skewer or a small sharp knife and if ready, a clear liquid will flow out; if bloody, then it's still not properly cooked. Cook for another 5 to 10 mins.

Then, tempted by col's recommendation.. bought birdnest.. always wanted to buy this type of birdnest.. but cos it's not cheap so always buy those in small can.. very little amount of birdnest.. mostly rock sugar..



The birdnest content very high.. one day one scoop.. cannot keep more than 14 days cos no preservative..



Dunno true or not if eat long term will be mei mei..

Siggh.. maybe cos approaching 30. i start to pay more attention on these products.. beauty... skincare..

Next month. actually 2 weeks (10/10) there will b a regional meeting in s'pore.. so boss very concern on how we should present ourself to those VIPs..

i've been busy doing and changing the slides again n again.. we took photos of our monitoring showroom.. the data centres.. update the layout..add this n that..i guess stil have changes.. today said wanna have another set of slides to show our facilities specifications.. blahh.. so add in more.. eyes so tired...

no chance for me to practise on what i've learnt from course..sob sob..

then.. boss assigned me to be the project manager for power upgrade in TC.. so hard to make people provide info.. have to chase n chase n chase.. siann.. i think i should well-equipped myself with the essential info else feel so lousy..with the experience in preparing the slides.. i have a better idea of our whole data centre layout n machines location..

sunday gonna go back to work again.. pheww.. 3 sundays in a row.. $ is good but tiring..

hope after the VIPs visit.. i can have proper time to sit with HA to work on the system.. this is wat i want..anyway boss already said will get me involved in this.. so just the matter of time..

my mum been so on with her healthy life style practises.. she goes exercise (yoga+body balance+pilates) every morning.. mostly elderly attend.. then drink vegetable juice daily.. the vege juice she made is of 5 greens
(1) green apple
(2) bitter gourd
(3) cucumber
(4) Capsicum
(5) celery

sometimes add in carrot too but not daily.

i've been drinkng this every mornign when mum around last week. so she keep reminding me to ownself prepare the juice. cos good for health..

but since i dun have time to do this in the morning.. so i can only prepare after work.. my sis also very on..

sometimes i add a bit of orange & tomatoes.. i never eat capsicum, bitter gourd & celery raw..cant stand the smell.. but when blender,, i can drink.. good.. wonder if i continue drinking like this will i b super healthy ? complexion mei mei ? haaa

all classmates r guys.. the instructor n myself r the only ladies.. feel so out of place..anyway. we manage to have some chatting time during break time n quite comfortable with those people..

Day one i joined this company..i find this is not the place i want... then i start to observe everyone's role..i find that there is no specialise role.. only one role attract me.. SWIFT Admin..

now.. im working towards this direction.. n lucky enough.. with my boss support.. i finally get to go for this course next week.. confirmed the attendance.. phewww.. finally..

so i shall really make sure i know this system which will be very helpful in my career in bank.. never know i can switch from IT (unix..servers..database..) to a bank system.. n the best is i dun have to pay a cent.. ghaaaa... what a wonderful world...

well.. like my boss said.. remember letter "T" but letter "T" with short tail.. which means take the shortest time to climb to the highest and then spend the rest of the time enjoying the result..

well.. i guess.. i dun mind taking a bit longer.. like the normal "T" to climb.. and enjoy the equal result ..

First day back to work after 3 days course...n already lots of things to follow up.. n lotssss of emails..flooded

after checking emails.. read only important mails.. n do some of the work.. then boss said go makan..

We went down to Eastwood (Upper East Coast Rd) eat the Hong hong Street chinese food.. then desert at Ronaldo.. phew.w. the best Apple strudel we foun in s'pore so far...



Very nice.. n crispy..n it melts in ur mouth... the crispy skin of the strudel n the apple just melt once u put into ur mouth.. really shiok..



a bit x.. but if u r into desert.. this is really worth trying.. still feeling the strudel in my mouth.. yum...

dun really have time to study properly.. always sleep on the book.. cos really really find it sooo boring..

this morning i already told Yong.. im goin to fail the test.. cos no confident at all. then i will have to go retake the test myself..cos i think he sure pass.. cos he sounds so confident..

then..afternoon.. i have conference..suppose to leave at 5pm as the test is 630 and have to be there by 615..n the test location is so far away from our office.. so no choice.. after the conference at 520.. rush back to office.. n together wif Yong we took a cab down to the test centre..

The cab fees alone already $17.70.. so to calculate.. the test is $6 ( cheaper than the cab fee) ...pheww..

so took the test.. luckily mine is considered easy.. so i finished in less than 20 mins.. double checked already.. so decided to submit.. immediately result is out on the screen.. "PASSED".. phewwwww.. wat a relief..

Unexpectedly.. Yong still doing his test.. waited abt 20 minutes.. he came out n said he failed.. i tot he is joking.. never know he really fail.. he said his very tricky..

well.. i guess he is unlucky lor..

Before the exam boss jokingly said .. to pass must burn the book n drink it.. so to play along wif his joke.. i send him an sms..

" Proven that no need to drink burnt book to pass exam"

and he replied " U r diligent is all i know ".. haaaa...see me so up..

happy...pass test.. smooth smooth.. can convert whenever i feel like it.. can sleep well tonight.. still have lots of work to do tmw onwards..

StifF neck..

really suffering.. been having stiff neck for nearly 2 weeks now..right side..at first i tot i din sleep properly.. so din really pay attention.. usually will go away i a day or two.. but never know drag all the way till now..

i tried to shift my pillow to the position that i think is comfortable.. still the stiffness remains...

i think my posture is not right when using the mouse in office.. try to sit straight now.. but still never help.. see doc.. they give cream n some muscle relaxer pills.. still not helping much..

my sis said im goin got get stroke.. i think she may b right..

but hor.. i exercise .. why still get stiff neck ? so unlucky.. cant lift my head when try to use the mouth wash in the morning.. pain....Arrrgggggg torturing..

yesterday JL help me rub those chinese medicine oil.. this morning seems better not pain .. but after my marathon.. came home. feel the pain again..

so evening i rub again.. n after nap.. seems ok again.. i guess tmw will feel pain again ? on n off.. so kek sim..

yesterday went jogging with Irene at ECP..she been complaining abt her job her life.. n she almost drown from her diving trip.. that made her decided to quit her stressful job n open up her own company so that she can do it on her own time.. own way..

well.. this is her life.. if she thinks this is a better way for her.. it's up to her...as fren and outsider..i just wish her luck and extend my help if she needs it..

sunday will go to the marathon with LS .. ger ger will tag along.. better else bored... will try to run as far as i can..LS ask if wanan join Standard chartered run.. i told him .. must see if i can run this sunday or not.. else forget it..


today we bought LS swenson ice crea, mooncake.. looks nice.. wanna buy when my mum comes next week.. miss her already..

company is going to have SINGTEL roadshow with Corporate plan.. classic plan only $14 per month.. now im paying $22 per month.. originally is $28, deduct $6 for loyalty discount after more than 3 years..

But my current SINGTEL contract only 16 months (last upgraded in May 2004).. to get a new phone/new contract and enjoy the offer with the phone, i need to be on the contract for 21 months.. so in my case.. if i want to convert to corporate plan.. i have to top up $100 extra for the handphone set.. WAHH.. bo hua leehhh..

so i calculated..

option (1)

dun buy first, wait for another 5 months then get the corporate plan

BUT.. i really really wanted to chg a phone.. at least a phone with camera..n i like the Samsung phone in offer..

option (2)

convert my current Singtel line to corporate plan.. meaning i will have to top up $100 for the phone.. the samsung phone is $48 so in total.. i have to pay $148


option (3)

get a new singtel line.. so that i can buy the phone with $48 and pay extra $14 for the phone bill for the next 5 months.. which calculated to be $118 altogether

so if i die die want to buy.. option (3) is better ?? arggggggggg.. how how ? want to buy or not ? having extra line a bit wasted lehhh...

weekend over again.. fast isn't it.. next mon till wed boss on leave.. hoo.. happy happy..can do my things with my own time w/o unexpected disturbance..jeff must be VERY happy.. no disturbance for him too..

been bored to death with the driving theory..super boring.. i hates those road signs.. really boring.. no wonder i just cant drive even have my license since 16 or 17..

Trying to pass the conversion test n that's it.. keep it in the drawer.. hope i dun have to drive.. but maybe when im old n retired.. like my mum. i may need to take care of myself.. so i may need to pick up driving again.. so still useful..

why in life we need so many tests? exams? boring... zzzzzzzzzzz.....

whole week i din get to exercise.. today wanted to go yoga.. brought all my stuff.. n then last minute.. boss said he will be on leave next mon till wed.. so happy deep in.. but .. he said send him this n that.. woah lah.. so i have to stay late liao lor..

so quickly consolidate all the statistics then send to him, no time to do the graph lah.. already 7pm.. n those contractor making so much noise installing the plasma .. cannot concentrate at all..

How time flies this week..just monday.. n tmw is friday.. cool.. love this week.. and i have been eating too much AGAIN..

I hope tmw i can eat normally.. first time i tried turtle soup.. my boss recommendation.. it tasted normally.. like normal chinese heb soup.. but after about 3 to 4 hours .. i have 2 big pimples pop up.. n i feel warm inside..how heaty this soup is.. my mum said it is good to clean blood.. but i guess my body needs time to adjust to this..

so i start to have headache in the evening.. tot of going gym after work.. but headache.. so no choice.. go home n sleeepp.. drink lots of water n sleep through the night

luckily im ok this morning.. phewww.. tot will be sick..really heaty stuff..anyway.. a bit cruel to eat turtle.. i ate its meat.. n some slippery stuff.. my boss said this is the BEST part from beneath the shell.. a bit like cuttle fish but much softer..

recently, company has lots of internal courses for us to attend, Boss send the email to me first.. what an honour. so i choose what i want to go. He then email to others, said give me priority.. mm. wonder why he so good..he mentioned that he thinks im always doing "right" thing.. eg, on our tuesday jogging, i went to look for him ..haaa..

n our ECP bbq Tom decided to invite him, it's in Nov.. he said we clever cos Nov is his b'day.. actually we din plan to do it on Nov but cos sept n oct others cant so we no choice choose Nov.. coincident only..anyway, he is very happy cos previous years he is never been invited.

cool, seems like my presence give them some colour.. one flower among the leaves n thorns ? haaaa.. anyway.. i felt pampered by them sometimes.. nice feeling but MUST always tell and remind myself.. im not there to play n have fun only.. im working.. i must not degrade myself.. today went jogging with my boss n Irene.. what a joke..

First of all, Irene said meet at 7pm at ECP. we (boss & i) left office at 6:05 and reached ECP at abt 630pm. called Irene, she said she cant leave yet.. will be late.. expected cos everytime she said meet at certain time.. she SURE to be late.. ok lor.. my boss n i went mcD to have some drinks n fries.. waited till 7:30pm.. she called said came already at carpark.. we went to change then looked for her..

She said she at carpark near fort road.. before McD turned right.. so we walked to the carpark after turned right.. din see her.. my boss already started to complain said this woman cant b trusted.. said she should park near McD where we were waiting for her..sigh...for me is ok lor.. to look for it.. bue he seemed not happy with it.. made me so difficult..

then found her.. then we started jogging, she went blading.. i cant catch up cos too tired.. must walk a bit jog a bit.. she bladed,can go faster.. n he can run.. wah lao..salute him, at 53 he is darn solid...the build n stamina.. impressed !!

then they were ahead of me..when i reached bedok jetty i saw irene.. then i cornered in to catch up with her.. she said my boss jogged ahead.. n she din tell him she din follow after him...

i was worried.. cos i know my boss is someone who will be panicked if he found out he is alone in a place he is not familiar.. so i jogged ahead to look for him.. i jogged all the way up.. im not sure where i were.. but i din see him..

so i guessed maybe he went back to car park..so i jogged back.. what a relief to see him there.. n this time round, Irene was no where to be found.. AGAIN, my boss made noise, said irene irresponsible cant jst leave people like that.. he was worried for us cos he came back to the carpark almost 1 hour ago n we din bring handphones, he said he almost went to the police to look for us.. deep down i was .. OMG, next time dun bring uncle out.. cos he is too fatherly.. we r ok on our own and this is not first time we r here to jog.. please... but of course i din tell him that.. i told him cos we used to this. jog then come back at destination..

then ok lor.. irene finally came back.. with drinks for herself.. later she told me she had dinner while waiting for us.. sigh.. i really nothing to say..

Anyway, i guess the jogging is good but the jogging with two different people like this a bit stressful.. cos i felt like in the middle .. the cheese in bwt the toast.. hard to say anything on any side..

mm.. yesterday night received sms from my fren.. the one i din meet since primary school..suddenly we keep in touch..then he said he is coming over for seminar till sat.. so we decided to meet up..

Wonder why deep down im a bit nervous..he called me last night.. n he still sounded the same as wat i remembered talking to him more than 10 years back..

i guess im sooo curious how he look like now.. he used to be quite "leng cai" when he was 13 or so.. haaa..now dunno still the sameor not.. later i drool when see him.. hooo..well.. quite excited cos we used to be quite good frens last time, maybe tmw when i meet him we have nothing to say anymore.. anyway just meet up since he is spore and he initiate to meet...

now im thking.. wta should i wear .. am putting so much weight recently.. Arrrr... why this time...

mm.. lazy to update blog recently..been working since wed (after my holidays) till now.. even weekends..

KL trip was ok. haze.. we din go to sunway lagoon..just hang out at shopping centre.. din buy a lot too.. cos many things can be seen in s'pore n the price much difference..IKEA is very big.. the car park size itself can be the IKEA of s'pore.. cool

then, my 2 year-old nephew got flu.. for 3 weeks..see doc, eat medicine and later found out there is something inside his nose.. a watch battery.. OMG..he stuffed the small battery into his nose.. and it got stuck inside.. that was the cause of the flu..cant get it out, ended up sending him to child specialist, he managed to get it out and found that the battery already rusty.. heart so pain to even think of it.. small boy n this happened.. luckily no infection or anything.. after few visits to the specialist, now he is ok. luckily the rust din leave any side effects..

so scary .. home accident like this really happens a lot especially with children.. pheww.. n of course my sis in law kena scolded by my brother.. the mother or the wife always the one responsibled for such incidents on their children.


boss came back from HK.. sian.. been so happy n relax with him away.. but then he get our french boss to sign for my course.. lalallaa. at least i can value add myself ..if i leave this bank i can go other bank.. looking positive...

currently.. am trying to shed the extra pounds away.. "nu li" "nu li"....but still im feeling lazy to move.. butt getting wider.. later one seat cant fit liao....

i really really felt like i have fever. cos so warm inside ..my face will blush by itself.. cos the heat inside the body like flush up to the head..but when i measure my body temperature, it is only 36.XX.. not sick leh..

then this morning, went for company NKF health screen, all normal, urine test passed, no high blood, no high cholesterol, BMI within range, all ok. super healthy. execpt body fat extra 1.1%, the man said for woman is ok one, cos different time of the month, our body fat changes ?? dunno also.. anyway, i've put on 4.5kg since i joined BNP.. i joined almost 5 montsh now. so each month 1 kg. by the end of the whole 1 year.. i'll be "Da Fei Po".. cos will add 12 kg altogether !!!!

NO NO NO.. cannot let this happen.. gotta shed those extra pounds away.. must start to eat healthily n exerciseeeeee... chan i feel not healthy when get fat.. chan chan..

then afternoon, my migrain still remained.. still feel warm warm.. go see doc..she crazy.. i headache.. but she check arm.. use the small hammer to knock my knee.. check my eye ball.. check my throat... i asked why she check all these? she said normal checking.. gila...

then she said gave me pain killer.. I HAVE HEADACHE.. she give me pain killer for HEADACHE ??? then she also gave me pills for sore throat.. BUT I DUN HAVE SORE THROAT lehhh.. sometimes i wonder wat these doctors study.. anyhow...anyway.. company pay for the medicine fees.. so im not so heartache.. else kek sim..

Today, lunch with Yong.. he seems to be in good mood.. talked abt his gf.. he said he spent 1 to 2 hours with his gf daily.. woahh.. so good..she very hardworking one.. cos the previous ger he after also he can wait for her knock off everyday..

then he said that in his opinion, im boss most favourite staff.. even tom cant compete.. ghaaaaa.. cute comments.. i tell him maybe cos im ger mah.. then boss treat me like his daughter.. this is wat boss mentioned last time.. cos he is 24 years older than me.. we both snake.. "chuaaaa".. haaaa

I stare at those statistics n data n for hours.. i cant come out with anything.. brain basically blank... si beh siannnn...

Then, boss wanna sabo me.. want me to treat lunch cos i got $400 OT..sob.. i worked for it OK.. tot i sit n get the money? stupid boss.. ok lor.. since he said so.. i said ok... then we went down to ah Beng to eat.. he call those vendor technical guys along..8 people altogther.. n ask CC along too cos he was on his way to work.. then call a lot of food.. easily over $100...kek sim

then after makan.. he knew this will b ex.. n said he will pay.. asked if i have enough money.. i told him no leh.. how.. he then said see if any vendor's sales people around.. then can ask them pay.. aiyoo.. my boss sometimes so cheapskate.. beh tahan.. then he came out with $150.. but hor.. the vendor already went to pay before us.... we wanted to treat them ended up they treat us..

Haven update blog for a week.. cos busy n tired..

busy chasing korean series "Da Chang Jin" .. i finished 24 Vcds(1 box) in a week.. 2 more boxes to go.. phewww.. i dun fancy chasing episodes.. but this is exception... cos nice to watch.. the actress very pretty.. so graceful..

then i've been lacking of sleeps since last sunday Power shutdown.. worked for 15 hours from 8am till 11pm.. so tiring.. next morning still working.. then thursday went wine appreciation.. drink different type of red wine.. n learn quite a bit from them on how to know wat wine is good wine.. i drank quite a fair bit.. n felt a bit giddy when i stand up.. but still sober... wonder how much alchohol will make me drunk.. heee.. but no need to know cos the hang over will never be a pleasant experience.. N.. i have rashes on the next day.. expected.. lousy body..

finish the power shutdown.. now im like dunno wat else to do..that day.. CC n ger ger had an argument.. long story..lazy to type here.. anyway.. that monkey CC really not gentlemen.... shouted harshly at ger ger for such a small matter.. n challenge her to report to boss..

boss somehow hinted to me that sometimes work.. will face such problem.. just open ur heart to such comments .. anyway.. i guess he is not interested to defend ger ger? well.. it is not me who was being shouted at.. so i wont fight hard for her.. cos i must protect my stand also.. better dun "kepo".. i guess thomas really not happy.. especiallu boss choose to ignore than to talk abt it..

Chiffon cake Recipe from my Aunt..

Chiffon Cake

Ingredients:
8 large eggs at room temperature (if previously in fridge, allow them to "warm up")
7 oz castor sugar
7 oz self-raising flour, well-sifted
6 fluid oz orange juice (if orange cake) or coconut milk* (if coconut cake)
4 fluid oz corn oil or sunflower oil
1 tsp cream of tartar (from any supermarket)
pinch of salt, sifted in with the flour

Method:

1. Before you start, set up the middle shelf in the oven and set the oven to
150C. Preheated oven is critical!
2. Separate eggs into yolks and whites.
3. Egg yolks:
Use a large metal spoon and break up the yolks. Stir in all the sugar.
Mix well. Add flour in small quantities, alternating with the orange
juice/coconut milk. Add the oil last.Mix well.
4. Egg whites (use largest pudding bowl or deep salad bowl you have!):
Whisk using electric whisk. Start on level 1. After about 2 mins,increase
to level 2. After 3 mins, add the cream of tartar.
Continue whisking on level 3 for about 5 more minutes, until the white is
quite dry and stiff.
5. The most important bit:
combining the 2 mixture together: get this wrong and-no cake!
You have to mix the yolks into the whites (NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND)
so this is what you do:
The yolk mixture should be quite runny.
Spoon a few spoonfuls at a time into the white mixture.
Then use a large metal spoon to fold the yolks into the white.
Continue until all the yolk mixture has been incorporated.
Ensure both yolk and white are well mixed but
DO NOT OVERDO IT!

You should now end up with a huge fluffy bowl of light yellow cake mixture.

6. Pour this mixture into the tube tin. It should be about two-thirds full.
7. Pop into oven, middle shelf. Bake for 1 hour and 10 mins.
DO NOT, WHATEVER YOU DO, OPEN THE OVEN DOOR!
8. After about 15mins, the cake would rise very quickly. Quite often,it rises
beyond the edge of the tin but
DO NOT PANIC - it settles down a bit in the second half of the baking time.
9. When cooked, take out of oven and turn tin upside down to cool the cake.
Leave for several hours until totally cooled.

*To make coconut milk, mix coconut powder with tepid water (just follow
instructions on pack) or use good quality tinned coconut milk.

That day received an email from a primary school fren.. hwe lost touch for years.. the last time i head abt him studying in US..then no more newss.. all the sudden he emailed after almost forgotten abt him..

he is my primary pal.. used to be a well-known "ham sap gong" in our class.. all the gers beh tahan him.... but somehow.. few of us r good frens.. i remembered him, me, ong lee yan, miao san.. and who else.. too long.. i cant recall..always hang out together...then miao san shifted to johor.. we lost touch also.. she used to be a very pretty ger..very popular among boysss..used to envy her..

then not long after he shifted to KL.. left us too.. but we still keep in touch.. he used to call me pretty often from KL.. n my mum even tot he is my bf at that time.. ghaaaa..but i still think he is sissy leh... fair fair.. red lips.. the image still remain like this. maybe now he is more macho lioa ?

he now worked in air asia as some technical services engineer.. mm.. sounds not bad..i guess he will call me when he is in s'pore cos he said he always come to s'pore not sure for his work or wat..

this is the real story happened in the network team..how the monster manager torture this network guy mentally over the years..

last few weeks, there was a network slow problem, which apparently impacted many critical applications.. and this is how we got to know abt this network guy being mentally tortured by his manager..

The manager immediately walked into our French boss's room and asked him to fire this network guy.. and this network guy also being called or he himself went to this french boss's room to explained that the problem was not fully his fault.. it was more to infrastructure failure..

so.. one day, my boss happened to be at their building.. and met this network guy drinking coffee at pantry.. so talked to him regarding this incident.. this network guy poured his heart out to my boss.. said he has been working in this company for more than 3 years and almost every month he received email from his manager telling him.. "this is ur last month".. probably means he needs to perform.. else off he go.. so the manager is trying to see him making major mistakes so that he can have excuse to ask him go.. people been saying that the manager always shout at this network guy..

he is at his mid 30s and single..with the network experience.. i wonder why he still wanna stay and being bullied like this ???

this weekend we will have a major power shutdown, so my team needs network team to do some coordination for the network as network is the most crucial part.. if network cant be up.. the whole bank will be in deep shit !!.. and when we assign this task to the team.. the manager sent email to this poor network guy which goes something like this..

" im giving u chance to prove that u r worth staying back... u better make sure u done a proper coordination..if this simple task u cant do.. i cant see how i can assign u with any in the future.."

the email was sent to this network guy and the whole of network team.. HOW EMBARASSING..

then this network guy .. i thk he must have been very frustrated & cant think straight..he replied to the manager, the whole of network team, my manager as well as my whole team..

" im currently too exhausted. Kindly assign this task to other more capable team member to carry out."

WOAH...when we received.. already we waiting anxiously for the manager's reply.. cos he now completely "NO FACE".. cos we all know now..how he treat his own team member.. so harsh..

then he replied.. as expected.. not that harsh (as he needs to maintain his image) ..

" u r not the only one exhausted. all other team members r. u r the luckiest.
Im assigning this task to u. make sure you carry out without fail and other team members will assist u. will hear from u on ur plan this friday"

We were talking abt this during lunch with my boss n JL..we all see that the manager is hoping the network guy to fail.. and he assign this task to him on purpose.. anyway.. my boss is kind enough to say.. we shall assist him whenever we can.

OF course.. cos my boss also dun like the manager.. haaaaa..

so.. this internal politics.. is making other team members laughing them off..so unfortunate to have a boss that dun side u..dun support u.. wat's more .. trying all ways n means to get rid of u.. sigh..

sms has always been the channel for us to communicate with one another.. we cant meet everyday.. cos we work till evening.. tired.. and cant b staying outside too late as the next day still need to work.. so we sms a lot..

lots of sms i received from him but i cant keep all in my phone as the storage is limited..so i deleted or housekeep from time to time..he did the same.. but almost all his sms received in his handphone that he kept are from me..

today he showed me those sms that he has to delete that he wrote it down on a note book.. with the message, time and date.. woahhh... so sweeett...

all the sudden.. i realised how much i meant to him..how much he cherish me..

today i've made a damn stupid mistake.. usually before i disseminate email to big managers. i'll send a draft copy to my boss for checking.. after checking i forgot to remove the "draft" in the title.. and sent it all out.. sob sob. my boss not happy abt it.. but i guess it does not do so much damange.. just that the professionalism not there.. sobb.. i thk im too busy with many things at the same time that i overlook the title..MUST b EXTRA CAREFUL next time..

then, i have so much things to follow up.. now head like growing bigger.. but feel contented.. boss ask to come back on weekend since i no work 2 days.. n lots haven finish mah.. then he said can claim OT.. woahh.. so good.. maybe drop by on sunday to catch up with some work.. anyway.. i already done up some at home lah..

How true is our dream ?? Im dun dream a lot..rarely dream actually... haven been dreaming for very long time.. recently.. i start to have quite frequent dreamssss.. some i dun remember when awake.. some im awake b'cos of the dream..

yesterday i dream again.. i dreamt my mum suddenly gone.. left us..i remmebered im so sad.. cannot accept this.. i cant imagine this to be happening..dun dare to thk of it..

The sad feeling overwhlem me.. n i was awake till time to get up to go to work..all the sudden i realise.. i haven seen my mum for weeks..i miss her a lot..

i remembered the last time i look at my mum's face.. she got more wrinkles now..age is catching up.. her hand is getting rougher..lotion cant do muchhelp..
but to me.. my mum is still the most beautiful woman in the whole wide world..

i tot of going home n spend time with her..tot of taking one week off n be with her..but then... still need to work lorrr...

so call home.. ensure that she is ok.. she is going to learn something like yoga.. but i guess not complete yoga.. cos a bit of stretching n some others.. good that she is picking up on this.. she can know more friends..

Now my mum can drive.. ( gotten her license at age 50 +) i admire her for this..and she exercise every morning.. enjoy garderning.. she has green fingers..whetever she plants grow beautifully..even vegetable she plant grow out super hug..she planted lady's fingers and neighbours all amazed at the size it grows.. haaaa..

she did sewing.. stitching..to occupy her time.. since my brothers n family is staying in another place.. so she stays all by herself.. sob sob...how lonely can this b u know.. but no choice.. cos we in s'pore... luckily she starts to know more neighbours...

recently sundays been busy .. morning yoga.. evening tennis.. today my sis not in s'pore so dun feel like goin yoga on my own.. so will only go tennis in the evening.. so whole of morning n afternoon im freeeee.. heeeee

still have a whole basket of clothes to be iron.. table needs to be tidy up..but nvm can do it slowly.. now trying to finish up my slides.. hopefully can submit to boss tmw.. ghaaaa..

today.. he sent me an email .. like usual "i c u" in the title.. darn.. im thking.. must be work or something he wants me to help him again.. better not holding up my time.. cos almost 6pm.. im gonna rush for my yoga..

so i went to his office to see what he needs..he is in the midst of writing email to some issue.. n he told me of the problem background and ask for the proper words for the email.. n he said "This is not the reason i ask u to see me.." n i dunno wat he meant.. so after we finish the email.. he took out the plastic bag with NAGLENE water bottle inside and said " i bought this for u"..

i was like.. huh ?? woahh..

i told him.. " Lincoln.. no need lehh.." "I pay u back.."
He said " no no no... "
then i said " A bit small hor.. " cos less than 500ml
he said " too small ar? but can refill ?"
i said " can.. gees.s. thanks Lincoln.. paiseh lehhh "
he said " if u dun like the colour can change.. " it's violet.. nice..
i told him " nice.. no need to change"
he said " i bought for u to use in office.. cannot bring to pat tor k.. heee"

Im telling JF that i will try to make cheese cake, no need oven one.. but seems like i lost the recipe.. found the Italian Tiramisu recipe instead..

Here's the recipe ( JF, u may want to keep a copy )

"Italian Tiramisu"

Ingredients
2 tblsps instant coffee powder
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cup sweet marsala wine (available in major supermarket)
1 x 250g packet sponge fingers biscuits
1/2 cup thickened cream
1/3 cup icing sugar
2 cups mascarpone cheese (available in major supermarket)
50g dark chocolate, grated
1x150g punnet raspberries to serve

Makings
Dissolve coffee powder in water in a bowl.Stir in half the wine.Allow to cool. Dip half the sponge finger biscuits, one at a time, into the coffee mixture. Arrange in a single layer on a serving dish.

beat cream and icing sugar mixture in a bowl with a mixer until soft peaks form. Fold in the cheese and remaining marsala wine

Spread half the cream mixture over biscuits in dish. Dip remaining biscuits in remaining coffee mix. Arrange over cream layer in dish.Top with remaining cream;sprinkle with chocolate. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.

My 6th Aunty n family live in London..she studied there n married there n run a restaurant there...

I almost went over to London to study after my O levels.. but my mum disagreed as she said if i go over, i'll be on my own n may be bullied by my aunty whom we heard from my other aunties.. she is very firce n always ask them to help her in her restaurant..so if i go there.. n help in her restaurant. how can i concentrate on studies.. that was wat my mum worried abt..

So in the end i din get to go n stay back in Melaka to study A levels.. I cried n blamed my parents for that.. cos i wanted so much to go else where to study especially can have chance to study in London..

anyway.. i guess many things in life are fated. So, if u r not fated to get something or not fated to go some where.. so u wont get it or wont get to go..

If you r fated to get something.. if dun want also u will get it..that's just life..

sigh.. anyway..im doing fine staying in S'pore..at least im graduated overseas too.. not very far .. just across the ocean..not that big ocean though..

Already in the mid of year 2005.. sigh.. looking back.. what have i achieved? what have i done that im proud of ? but if i ponder too much.. i'll get so demoralise..im still searching for that something that i want/can do.. i still think i haven done a lot..maybe i should adjust my life style...but i dunno how...

well.. where i am ? working hard to save money to go Europe.. haaaa.. well..i guess i will be doing wat my frens r doing.. get married n be parents..this seems to be something "RIGHT" to do ..

when young we study..finish study we look for job.. got job already.. look for bf.. got bf already get married.. get married liao have children.. have children liao.. thats' the end of our life to 'enjoy' life .. cos basically we will be working hard for our children's future.. when work n work n work.. we get older n older.. children grow up.. we will be deserted.. n the End.. so ironic..

but this cycle seems to be repeating generations after generations..

nowadays.. first question frens back home in home town is .. "when u getting married ?".. phewww.. stress like that.. some more see them bring children out.. n some have kids of 4 to 5 years old liao.. phewwww..

This bring me some tots.. why frens back home usually married younger ?? dun they need to put more time in their careers?? dun they want to climb higher in work-force ? most of my frens studying in s'pore still single..

maybe expectations is different? back home.. after studying.. they go back to hometown to work.. n then not much activities.. got bf oness.. married lor.. life back home more relax.. so romance can come easily.. maybe.. not too sure though..

today i bought tennis racket.. Wilson Ultimate 1.. old model.. costs me $89.90 and a can of balls .. our boss recommended us to buy ncode model.. pheww $300+.. three of us. Jeff, Yong n i each get ourself cheaper model.. for beginner.. haaaa.. all same price..

Then Irene joined us.. so we had quite a fun game.. at least now our stroke is getting better.. at least not flying all over the place like last time..pheww.. tiring.. we shall have our weekly game next sun again.. Onzzz..

morning i went Yoga n did some treadmills.. so tonight i can see myself sleeping early.. i still have piles of clothes haven iron... ARggg.. tmw then iron lah.. will try to make do with whatever is hanging there.. anyway Monday.. no mood one..

mm.. i dunno wats wrong btw me n my col... he n i been quite ok since i joined .. he very friendly.. always buy food.. always helpful.. sometimes overwhelming.. n he likes attention.. sometimes he will pretend to be sick lah.. to be no mood lah. to be down lah.. just want people to like sayang him or wat.. i guess at first .. since im new. so im playing a long.. listen to whatever craps he said.. n frienly to him..

Then.. he started to call me dear as he said im his dear n the other lady col is his ger ger.. n he said he can sense that im someone he can be intimate.. in the sense he can hug .. he can put hands on shoulder.. while gerger can only b the one talking..already im trying to hint him that sorry lah.. im just ur lady col.. probably fren but not someone u can "INTIMATE" with...btw.. he is married..n he even told me he wanted to divorce lah.. wanted to this n that.. said will i want him if he is single? wah laoo.. gila.. so i told him.. im happily attached n love my bf very very much.. so this will not even come to my consideration.. so at some point he gave up.. not mentioning these anymore.. n said he patch things up with his wife.. then i asked him. so wat happen? now he is fine with his wife? he said cos the wife behave.. never drink.. n he starts to show how lovely they r.. show me their loving pictures.. deep down i feel like vomitting.. REALLY.. cos so bo liao..not that im interested..

one day.. he brought his camera in office.. not many people that time.. only him, me n yong.. he then said we take pictures.. i said ok lor.. only him n me.. he put his hands on my shoulder.. well.. ok lah.. since just to take pics.. after that he is like woahhh.. tell othr cols said .. " U believe that i dare to put my hands on LH's shoulder? " he is like showing off.. n try to show by putting his hands on my shoulder.. of course i tell him off.. i told him i dun do this ok.. this violets my principals... haaa.. he then said but that day u let me worrr.. wah laoo.. feel like slapping him..i already bo song with him at this point of time..


then he starts to call me during office hour.. when not his shift.. he will call me dear.. n ask me call him dear back.. of course i DIN..so irritating. then that day i beh tahan already.. i told him.. " can u do me a favour ? dun call me dear anymore.." he said ok .. then i said " i hope this is not offending.. as i thk im not comfortable being called dear or call u dear as u r my col .." he said "ok"

and for 2 days he din talk to me.. n he din chat in yahoo.. well.. i guess.. if he thinks he is trying to show he is not happy.. be with it.. i dun live by him..i dun get salary from him.. n my happiness not depending on him.. why should i care how he feels? deep down i think he is a bastard.. jerk.. phewww. despise this type of man.. pity his wife REALLY !!!!

i told Yong abt it..i hope my days wont be so tough.. as that jerk is boss's favourites..
