Xmas gifts

Well, it wont be fun for the kiddos if there are no gifts for xmas right?.. so i've got gift for the two .

missy is so excited of the sight of my Toysrus plastic bag..she keeps asking me is it for her.. i told me, one for her, one for didi. and we can only open the gifts when daddy is home. and she obeyed what i told her.. but keep reminding me, that s her gift..

she is more interested in didi's gift as it looks bigger.

See how didi reacted to his gift ? "mum mum".. he bite it immediately..*shake head*


What did i get them ?

missy -> a bouncy toys story ball. she always like to play ball when we bring her down and other children are playing, she will definetely want to join. some boy don't share and don't let her play, so i thought she will like this gift. Indeed. she loves it. and i have been playing ball pass/throwing with her since.

didi -> Thomas train pull along with music. i thought boys will like choo choo train ? but seems like it attracted missy more cos she is the one keep pulling the train around the house. haa. didi just look on and chase after the sister.

Glad they enjoy their another new toys. :) Merry Xmas my children !

Santa Claus is coming to town ...

I love the atmosphere of Xmas.. cos it's so red much decoration and it always have gifts around.. make me feel that happiness. Im toying with the idea of buying a small xmas tree at home.. but LGG objected .. sigh, he said only christian should get xmas tree.. well, for me im not restricted by religion in festive celebration, i can buy ketupat cos hari raya.. i can buy muruku when deepavali.. it's just to enjoy the festive atmosphere.. we are living in multi racial society.. we should appreciate other's religion's celebration.. well, thought abt it, if i get one, didi may grab all deco from the tree? mm.. k some years later..

On our way to SM class last week, missy was attracted by the Xmas trees in the hall of International Plaza.. she keep taking the presents as if they are for her.. so cute





Even in class, we started to do activities involving xmas ..




Hopefully, we can make it to the orchard to see the xmas light up before we start our long break.. Merry Xmas !

Dumpling O Dumpling

It's Dumpling festival again..mum made Bak chang last Friday and we had them for dinner yum yum.. i grew up eating my mum's dumpling, so i never like those selling outside, the one mum made was modified according to our liking.. it has lots of "kao lat" haa..




Missy get to taste her dumpling too, eventhough the filling has "rempah" she still can take it, not bad this girl ! can eat spicy food liao



While lil boy looking on his sister enjoying her dumpling (she did not finish it, left most to me at the end), he can try it when he has teeth next time.. heee

Sultanah Cornflakes Cookies

Finally i completed the cornflakes cookies.. yyipee.. i Thought maybe i will just give it a miss cos feeling pretty tired lately with backache and uncomfort due to tummy getting soooo huge.. i feel like penguin when i walk..


Today will see gynae, while waiting for the time, i just quickly get the cookies done. Yipeee.. simple baking.

This recipe is from mum's neighbour, the original recipe somehow MIA. mum has tried it and said can try so i proceed.

Raisin Cornflakes Cookies

Ingredients:
Self-raising flour 110g
raisins(or sultana) 100g
vanila essence 1 tsp

Butter 115g
sugar 50g
egg(big) 1

cornflakes 56g

1. beat butter & sugar until white and fluffy
2. add in egg, then mix in the dry ingredients, mix well
3. Make into small balls then bake at 180 deg celcius for 15 mins or until it turn golden brown.

My second Batch of Pineapple Tarts

Today, i completed the second batches of pineapple tarts. phewww.. lots of work.. but i did it ! all by myself ok. while LGG entertaining Missy and kep her away from my baking place..

this round, i beat the butter +sugar until really peak.. and the result is much better, much fluffier.. buttt.. still not as good as my mum's.. oh well... our mother bakes/cooks better than us, this has been proven ! and my mum always use "agak-agak" method.. not like me.. measure until exactly.. still cant have the same result.. mum is "feel" it... now i must train my "feeling" with my ingredients when come to baking/cookn=ing to be good.. haaa

these are my product of the day !


And i did some pattern on the tarts.. making it looks like pineapple.. this is my mum's pattern.. heee

now.. im thinking of making cornflakes cookies.. mm.. should i ? already bought the cornflakes..

Pineapple Tarts

just finished my first batch of pineapple tarts.. with two rounds of dough.. but the result is so disappointing.. thr texture is not as fluffy as the one mum made. sob.. i already put in the eaxact same ingredients.. HOW COME ?!?

The taste is good, but the look is aweful ! missy keep disturbing so i have to quickly do and the shapes all vary.. but i dun mind so much of how it look now, i mind abt how it taste.. sob.. fail for look & taste..

I still have one more container of the pineapple which mum made for me before she went back home. shall retry tmw.. make a fluffy dough..

Baking ...

I have so many things that i wanna bake.. wholemeal cookies, steam bao etc..but im lazy...tmw will do my pineapple tarts.. hopefully can finish in one night..

One more week left to CNY. fast.

wonder when my bb wanna meet me.. hopefully after cny. let me enjoy the food first.

CNY decoration

This year we at least make some time to do some CNY decoration for our home.. we are just lazy people when come to this..I saw missy's school starting to have the cny decoration and felt tempted.

So, we did the lantern +fish.. and LGG helped to string them up.. and woala.. we have four hanging in our living room, we also have 6 fishes hanging at my plants outside our corridoor.. heee..


2 more week..looking forward to it.

CNY Cookies

My first CNY cookies - Pork Floss roll. I made almost 3 package of spring roll skin & 2 bottles of pork floss. phew.. wrap till my shoulder so aching and tired.

Maid help tp fry them, first batch was slightly too brown. so we ownself eat. Altogether i made 5 big bottles ( Spaghetty sauce bottles)..

The cost price is so cheap, one pack of spring roll skin only abt $1.55 so 3 packs is $4.65 & one bottle of pork floss is about $5 so make it $10. altogether less than $15 bucks. some more i use canola oil to fry, healthier, less trans fat and not re-used oil.

hee.. i still prefer home cooked goodies. Next week shall make my pineapple tarts.

Tang yuan @ Home

This year we celebrated the tang yuan jie at home mum made the glutinuos ball, i roll them all. heee..nice.

and mum bought some "siu la" for praying.

Just another festive season. missy has yet to appreciate all these, but, i did let her try to roll the tang yuan, she just take it as toy and crush it.. heee..

Xmas party

This year we have our Xmas party again.. last year due to bad economy, it was cancelled. our D&D resume on 30 Oct too. yipee

SO, this year, missy really enjoy herself.. we went after her SM class. lotssss to eat and lotsss to play.. and lotss of gifts..

Missy got herself a disney bolster, $50 voucher, a cottage bear, goodies bag..and loads of fun.. she even refuse to leave and play until we have to drag her off.. and she doze off right on her pram..

tt's how much fun she has..and LGG & i eat till we cant have much for dinner. muahaha.
