Work Life

yesterday we celebrated boss's 57th bday in office.. i bought him swensen mango tango ice cream. which is nice and he loves mango.

He had done my appraisal last week. Im happy with his review over my performance eventhough i have been away for 4 months maternity leave. i really enjoyed the flexibility here that my boss gave me. and i can se myself mature into the role that im doing now too. Hopefully, with the version upgrade next year, i can pick up more knowledge for my role.

yesterday also, one bad news for Jen. Her hubby met with an accident. he was on motorcycle and was knocked down by a stupid car who did a wrong turn. his calf bones were fractured, both bones. imagine that. so he will need an operation and prolong mc for sure to recuperate. Shall visit him coming Friday.

Coming Sunday, we shall go to my company's xmas party in Universal Studios. So excited. just hope the weather is good, the company is fun !

Tmw and Friday i will be on leave to clear my final two days for this year as i can only bring fwd 5 days to 2011. after that i shall have to work even weekends until 16th Dec before my long leave. as HA is on leave, i have to backup him. i can foresee how busy i am but im happy too cos that's when i pick up lots of things. when he is around, he likes to handle things and leave me only those not so critical ones.

anyway, we shall welcome 2011, with more work, more challenges and i feel more ready for work now. Happy working !

Promoted !

well, my boss did what he promised. he said he will put me up for promotion this year and he did. i'm so happy cos with this promotion, not only i get a good increment, i get better welfare too especially the benefits cover my children !

Yipeee.. so all the hardwork on the project paid off.i wish there are more projects if each project can help me to go higher.. kekekeke..dreaming...

well, my next target (minimum 3 years time) is to get to the next rank, so that i can have much better welfare from company.. including buying car without interest rate.. how's that ! hooo.. so shall put the car buying plan on hold till then ?

anyway, now on maternity leave, wont think much abotu work, this round, i did not even log on to my company network once after giving birth ! not bad heee..

Xmas party

This year we have our Xmas party again.. last year due to bad economy, it was cancelled. our D&D resume on 30 Oct too. yipee

SO, this year, missy really enjoy herself.. we went after her SM class. lotssss to eat and lotsss to play.. and lotss of gifts..

Missy got herself a disney bolster, $50 voucher, a cottage bear, goodies bag..and loads of fun.. she even refuse to leave and play until we have to drag her off.. and she doze off right on her pram..

tt's how much fun she has..and LGG & i eat till we cant have much for dinner. muahaha.

Today

Due to company testing out the BCP, i choose to work from home this week. lalala. so this morning,i don't have to get up so early.. bring missy to school as usual, then take my own sweet time to eat my brakfast.. surf net for bb's new clothes at gap/old navy. some mummies organising, so i tag along.

New Shopping

wow.. today tampines 1 opening. already it's sososo crowded. but hey , they carry many brands.. one of them doherthy perkins.. which i like their style..but the quality wise really below average.. i bought one bag last year dec i think.. but now the lining inside the pockets torn already.. *shake head* i wonder if i could bring my bag back to them..

anyway, i only got time to expore ground floor and fisrt floor already so amazed by all the new shops and brands.. they even have sakea shop.. selling all japanese rice wine.. woahh..

next week shall explore their upper floor, altogether 6 floor i think.

Sweetness amidst the bitterness

well, what else can i ask for this year right ? i still have a job and i get bonus.. muahahahha.. simply cant believe it.

But, i din get promoted as my boss's boss said my last promotion is less than 3 years.. sian.. hopefully next year will be my year la.

I decided not to spend my bonus on my LV bag. this shall put on hold as i have more important things to settle. this is LGG & my plan. hopefully we can clear by 5 years.

so, all others shall wait.

MUNCH

Yesterday go to town for meeting. chio jia for lunch and we tried out MUNCH. my first Salad lunch . not bad at all. simply refreshing, but the whole set (4 mix salad + one mushroom soup + ice lemon tea) really keep me full the whole afternoon.

There are so many variety to choose from, i choose the salad vege + kidney beans +other beans + chicken/walnut +pasts/grapes.. one thing i like abt their salad is that the fruits and nuts are so fresh.. really worth the value.

a different lunch in town.

I have an idea.. i may one day have a salad party at home.. not bad huh. healthy and simple and refreshing !

Appraisal

One more year over.. Appraisal over means one year over in working life.. haaa.. well. shall see if everything goes well and what we put in go through smoothly.. then i shall have a good celebration in february !!!

Been busy buying toys for my gal..now i really understand the joy of buying for your loved ones.. those toys are not for me but i buy so happily :)

Holidays

Boss on block leaves - 7 working days off in a stretch.

So, what else, all of us are sososoososososos free and enjoying our "sabbatical in office"..

That explains why i have so many blog entries and also changing all the templates.. blahh.. super duper eng until dunno wat to do .. so beautify my blogs lor..

My leaves start from tmw pm till next week. boss coming back wed.. so we basically wont meet for 2 weeks.. lallalala

CourSe

today till friday i'm attending project planning & management course.. wulala.. same course attended by LGG few months back. and some more got exam at the end of the course.. siannn..

but, i find nowadays courses are getting interesting as they get us to play games..same like ITIL course. we shall see if my team's project planning can be realised tmw.. muahaha..

Happy attending course.. ohh.. my course is better than LGG's cos company provided lunch with budget SGD50 per person.. heee.. today we lunch at DOME. tmw not sure where. we get to choose our lunch from menu. so cool !

Tonight got to start packing.. 2 more days left..

ever since jia changed job, we've been chatting actively via email during office hour.. well.. nothing specific most of the time.. just some bored la.. sian la.. gossipping.. plans.. activities.. blahh..

today jia send me a url.. that 3 8 vee created for us.. muahah.. not bad rto have friend who can code. i call him 3 8 cos.. aiya long story.. we dun keep in touch anymore anyway..

jia went to watch sex & the city.. she said nice and funny.. tempt me tempt me.. but LGG surely dun think this is nice.. he rather watch indian Jones ? anyway, weekends is always packed with my activities.. baking la.. cooking la..

This weekend i want to bring bb to her swimming pool for the very first time of course with her swim suit.. kekekekek shall post her photo here..

oh.. she already has her third teeth now.. i posted her teething chart in my worn n play blog..

Coming 2 Town

today attend a briefing in town.. decided to stay back here instead of going back to office. so long never come down to main office, so much changes and renovation, i almost cant recognise the place..

last time when stay in redhill always come here with boss as he knows i can go gym then go home from here.. but now stya too far le.. so never come down anymore..

lunch with yong and get Jia out to join us..haven been seeing her for some time.. still mei mei la..skinny skinny still haaaa..

now waiting to knock off only.. nothing much to do.. heee.. good working life ya. people like me can be workin mum cos relax.. some mum cant work n have children cos they work very hard by the time they reach home is late night.. how to be close to baby ? so sometimes, work or dun work and have baby or not.. depends on your nature of work and of course if you have good boss la..

COurse

on course today and tomorrow..wahh.. we found out this class is conducted just for my company people.. 6 of us.. all ladies.. and one of the lady is from KL. really can't believe it that their manager has so much budget to send her here for 2 days course.. EXCEL BASIC and INTERMEDIATE ??? and cover all accomodation, allowances and all..

So stupid hor. waste this type of moeny, she said KL no such class.. i was like.. arrr.. mouth open very big.. but.. hey, maybe it's the fact that their branch over there over laoded with budget lor..

phew.. bored to death.. but ok lah.. resting.. heee... can online,email.. blog.. not so bad though..

My boss sms informing that JL's son fell down and injured his head now in KKH. my boss' son was hospitalised last week due to high fever during his NS. mine was hospotalised last last week cos UTI... mmm.. maybe someone cursed us.. why all our children hospitalised in the same month...

Chase aways all bad luck.. go go away ..

COurse

Finally i went for ITIL.. everyone in my company has to attend. so there r 7 out of 14 students from my company.. muahahhaa..

It is indeed a very interesting course as we play F1 car racing by applying the processes taught in the class.. Very innovative way of conducting classes...

Next course.. i think i wanna go for project management.. they said at Grand Hyatt.. food n venue both 5 stars.. yum yum.. heee.. my cols only remember the food n not the course content..

Appraisal Once More

This is the time again.. BONUS BONUS BONUS !!!

We shall have our year-end appraisal soon. Boss is asking us to fill the form and submit to him beforere the interviewing session.

This year i have been assigned with a new role.. i guess that's enough to fill all the responsibilities areas muahahaha.. some more my french boss even wrote an email to praise my good work ! Thus, no worries abt BIG Bonus again huh !!1

Just keep my finger cross ! BB can have more toys, i hope !!

Work froM HOME

geesss.. stupid system always have problem after i din log in from home for some time.. damn !

Today suppose to online from home to access to work from home as i told boss last week. I have check up in the afternoon, so i guess paiseh to be off whole day, since i have the laptop and access , might as well help up from home.

But, never knew, i cant log in from the stupid laptop from home AGAIN. Helpdesk said got to bring back to office and connect to office network to refresh again ! damn lousy! wonder what are those people who are dedicated to install this system are doing all this while.. basically making the whole access slow and inconvenient.

so tmw, again, i got to carry that stupid laptop back to office to refresh profile and bring back and try again.. so taxing... cos the dell laptop is quite heavy even this is the latest model.. siannn.. dunno how many rounds i've done that liao..

No choice, sms boss told him what happen. Luckily he said ok .. but i wonder if he really meant it.. well.. no choice lah.

LunCh MattEr

Today we have 2 visitors from Paris. once again boss drag me in to entertain them.. they are actually production operational team on mission to consolidate different region (asia/europe/america..) production operations strategy.. they wanted to pick up what they think is good and applicable to Paris.

Im wondering..isn't Parias more advance than us in Singapore ? why it's the other way round? they come and learn from us ? a joke ? then one of them explained that european esp French very difficult adapt to changes, they prefer to stay6 in their comfort zone and so long that tools/methods are not giving problem or obstacle or production defects they will stick on to it than improving it... Thus he is on this mission to consolidate our methods of running the productions and bring back home to review if applicable there..

neeway, one of them is actually canadian who has been staying in France for more than 8 years. He likes france but nott he people.. haaa.. he is only 29. young chap !and cute looking though. Very adventurous in trying out Asian food. esp spicy food. and we even brought them to Ya Kum Kaya Toast.. They actually finish their cup of copi -O & kaya toast. BRAVO !!!

Our Singapore French COO cant even take the kopi-o there.. last time we bought for him, he took one sip and no more for him as he used to drink expresso those small little cup and super thick coffee..
That explains why most French has bad breath cos they drink thick coffee.. haaa...

one of the french guy said he has 4 kids.. and he doesn't have a Tv at home cos he doesn't want his kids to stick on to the tv whole day. It's easy to switch on but hard to get them to switch off.. WOW ! can u believe it ? i wonder if any parents in s'pore educate their child this way. He said they spend time by doing other things like play tennis/sailing, driving his kids to this and that location for their activties..so basically, he is trying to say without tv their life is much fulfilling with actual activities..mmm.....

Each time we meet with french cols we have different sharings.. it's quite fun to know abt their style and they habits comparing to ours

About Him AgaiN

SOmetimes really dunno how to describe my boss..in many occasions he behaves like a poor man who cant afford anything.. he waits for peopel to buy him food/drinks/stuff.. his stinginess is well-known.. not say he is poor, he is darn rich already.. but he just mean..

But, sometimes he is good in the sense that he cares/offers things for people.. depends on people i must say..

once again, im writing abt him.. ok this time, the story goes like this..
For weeks, we have been gossipping behind his back..

He usually buys coffee for us (me excluding cos im preggy no more coffee) on monday morning, 3 cups, one for him, one for HA, one for JF. then tuesday till Friday, he will sms the two to buy for him.. so if u calculate.. he is more "hua".. cos he only spend once a week, the rest people food the bill.. okok.. nevermind.. sometimes he comes to office already , empty handed, he always will walk pass the coffee shop from mrt station, but he just refuse to buy, so when he reaches office, he will ask JL to buy.. so that "Coffee boy" have to walk from office to mrt station coffee shop to buy back coffee.. isn't it a waste of time and energy ? But hey, he save money from buying coffeess worr.. so we have been saying that what a stingy person he is.. how much a coffee costs till he has to do this.

Some more, if he wants to send something to someone in town, he wont buy stamps, he will ask his staff , whoever poor thing kena "arrow" to bring thr parcel/letter personally to the destination to hand-deliver.. can u belive it ?? so some of us guess that, maybe he wants to show his "power" as in hey, i have "staff" to do this for me.. maybe people who receive it will see him differently cos maybe think he is so high up till got office boy ?

After the incident of Tom's housewarming & D&D.. i avoided lunching with him le.. so sian with him.. the attitude towards his own staff.. he also knows le.. cos when he ask me to lunch i will say i want to go library.. blahhh... so we lunch on our own...i have more time to do my stuff.. my aunty stuff. hee

but how, recently, he keeps buying me fruits..apples/peach/grapes/pear... during lunch, i always reject politely saying im full le.. but he insisted says that is for my bb.. must eat more, good for bb.. today he gave me grapes again...

This makes me feel guilty..for gossipping behind his back.. sometimes really not sure what kind of person he is..geesss... this makes me wanna buy him things in return.. maybe buy him a watermelon.. biggest of all the fruits? muahhh...
