Appraisal

One more year over.. Appraisal over means one year over in working life.. haaa.. well. shall see if everything goes well and what we put in go through smoothly.. then i shall have a good celebration in february !!!

Been busy buying toys for my gal..now i really understand the joy of buying for your loved ones.. those toys are not for me but i buy so happily :)

Miss my missy.. mum said she now if wants to go out walk walk, she will bring her shoes and ask mum to bring her out.. so cutetetette...miss her dearly :(

Cousins-Gathering

We brought little missy back home to my hometown this weekend. She seems to adapt to the new place much better than her first trip when she was 6th-month old :) she never show any sign of discomfort or in new place kinda of reaction, she just busy playing with her cousins, until she missed her naps.. missed her bed time.. first time in so many months, she slept at 10pm... her last nap was 2:30pm... the wonder of child's company..

Shall miss her till i see her again. really felt like missing something at home when i cant hear her or carry her around *sob sob*

My dear little darling.. hope she enjoys her stay with her cousins and hope she misses her mummy and daddy , just like how much we miss her..

Weekend activities -Nov#1

Friday the xchange rate for SG to RM is 1SGD = RM2.39 wow.. sosos good price. im looking forward to 1sdg = rm 1.4 heee.. greedy huh !

Last thursday, i noticed that sbs deducted 20cents more from normla bus fare.. i went to the counter asking for refund. Im thinking if i did not see the screen, i wouldn't have known how muhc they deduct, they transitlink system is sosos one sided towards tham than public.. we cannot even check our bus fare deduction history online, you have to be present at the control station and check. i ever wrote in and they never seem to answer what i ask.. shake head..this time round i have taken the extra deduction photo from the machine and thinking of sending to stomp.. so everyone is aware !

This sat, we went down to Toa Payoh to visit Shichida centre, which we have decided to enrol missy next april. Initially, i thought tp branch will be better as there is one direct bus from our home to TP. But the journey is sosooss long.. so we changed our plan, to enrol missy in the TJ pranch instead. heee.. so shall see if the shichida method really turn my missy into small genius huh ! at least i give her a good headstart !




Bought missy a pinwheel at TP, she loves it so much, hold on to it like magic wand and walk all over the place.. even approach an ah neh uncle.. *eyes rolling*..

Tmw shall see if RM xchange rate is good, then i shall proceed to book missy first ever flight ! Happy holidaying !

Last week, i've created one set of "colour" flash cards for missy.. am thinking should i buy Dr. Robert Titzer's DVDs.. since im taking shichida ,not sure will they clash.. still waiting for other mummies reply..

First Beach trip

Sunday, we made our first trip to east coast park . Our first trip since missy was born. Been waning to expose sand to misys, well.. here's my chance.

Im a bit worried initially of how missy will react when i

let her touch the sand, as my friend said her boy somehow frighten of the sand on his feet. deep down, im rather confident missy will enjoy as after our JBCG's trip, she seems more daring than i thought ! *grinning* i prefer daring girl myself..

and, without much surprise, she blend in well with the environment, she play happily with sand, but, she refuse we bury her feet into the sand, keep pulling her feet out.. heee.. she is not happy with the sea water .. keep running away.. but after few times touchin gher feet with the waves, she is sooo eager to let the sea water flush her feet again.. the waves came so big and wet her pants all.. haaa..

We had great day watching missy enjoying herself with sand, sea water and also her walk on the sand.. she walks so much.. we tired already and she is not.. beh tahan..

Shall plan for our next trip soon..

Weekend activities -Oct #3

This weekend, we went to orchard for my shopping.. heee.. wanted to get a new handbag, but simply cant get the right one that i like instantly, either cant get the right colour or cant get the right design or darn too high price.. those i think i like usually is 200 onwards.. which i think not worth le.. ,my budget is within 100..so never get my handbag.. ended up buy one more shoes.. i bought 5 shoes altogether this week. mad mad mad..



Before we go down town, we drop by at boat quay to settle some stuff.we brought missy for a walk at boat quay. she relaly enjoy her walk.. she now insist we hold one of her hand to walk with her.. she refuse both hands.. cutey! she attracts so many ang mo tourist attentions, they keep smiling and talking to her.. haaa.. when we try to take photo, one ang mo even walk up and try to attract missy's attention so that we can take her photo.. so nice of her..

After so much things to see and walking exercise, missy refuse to be in her pram.. maybe over-stmulated, keep wanting to come down to walk or we carry her..

This weekend, we spend most of our evening at PIL's home.. missy get to play cooking and this morning, she get to drag her toys around.. her favourite now..



I've been trying to start my home montessori with missy.. reading up " how to raise an amazing child" the montessori way.. very good book with simple steps on how to get things started. Will tr to purchase montessori toys online. still waiting for my "extra" paycheque to come in this week. lalallala

Weekend activities -Oct #2

Time fliess.. second weekend of October already. Geess.. what have i done so far ? i still have many unfinished projects.. darn.. i just wish i can be motivated more to carry out than to procrastinate !

This weekend plan to get my Guess Hand bag but ended up speding most time either at PIL's or sis's home..

Missy gets to play in playground for the very first time, as i think now it's time. i try not to expose her to playground as it may not be clean. She is very 'daring' she climbs the steps.. crawl over the tunnels.. crawl up crawl down.. i go with her to thr slides, she is just smiles and no sign of fear.. OMG .. my girl is rather daring huh ! somehow i sense that after our JBCG's trip. she never even show any sign of fear at all the plays there.. 1 year old .. maybe don't know the danger of anything yet..shall see


Sunday, we revisit her swimming at home. once i put her in, shejust splash and kick and splah and kick.. full of energy. and one of the photo i find it so amusing. after changing her into her swim suit which she seems to fit it better now, she just walks about in the house while waiting for the pool to be filled up. She walks and stop at the mirror in the living room, and i happened to snap one of her photo. see.. not a bad pose huh ! but her hair really cannot make it ! ghaa.. like just wake up like that. we are keeping her hait long, so have to bear with the half length now..



Sunday went to sis's place. brought back some of the carpets left there last time. thought it'll be good now as missy can play in those carpetted area. Montessori mentioned that children should have a define area for play. so i shall start montessori at home.

As for the playgroup. dunno waht to say. those mummies who initially showed so much interested but when we said ok, can we start this weekend? no news at all. no email reply, no sms. well. i dont like to force people. and i don't think playgroup should start with mummies who is not serious. Thus, i never contact them again.

anyway, i will keep looking for interested mummies to start a playgroup on weekends. missy still have plenty of time till we form a playgroup. Playgroup is beneficial to toddler from age 3 onwards. Montessori prefer a mixture young and small.

my itsy-bitsy is getting back some result too.. now whenever i recite itsy-bitsy, she will start to move her fingers trying to imitate me..

Weekend activities -Oct #1

Well, we haven been doing many new things as in planned activities as we are busy with birthday celebrations, outings for the past 2 weekends.



Met up with Jia/suh/ml last sat. And i daringly meet them in orchard all by myself. as i think bringing LGG will only bored him with our womanly chat. So jia they all wanted to see missy. oh..she still with her bruise that day from her bad fall last week. poor girl. meilin is so cute, she dare not carry missy cos she said baby bones very soft.. well.. cant blame her cos she never deal with children at home. I took cab to/fro for that meeting. effortless except the waiting time for cab in orchard was really no joke.. but hey, i can say, i can handle my girl by myself if there is another outing.. heee..From the photo, Suh is feeding missy.. she looks motherly huh. heee and jia& Ml went for knitting classes.. Oh mine, how i wish i have the time to join them.. sob

This weekends, we celebrated LGG's birthday at Jacks place. really a good meal with unexpected good deal price as LGG was member and he get free meal + 10% .. *Thumbs UP*




This weekend, i let missy do her scribbling, she is getting better with her pen holding, i gave her thinner crayons and colour pencils, she can handle well. i noticed she don't put them into mouth anymore.. rather, she enjoys taking in and out from box then scribble on paper..*elated mum*

She likes to carry basket and walk around the house.. our little aunty at home.. very cute. As you can see i took her photo when she stack the ring. shall show her these when she grows up. How smart my girl * ahem*

Planning for my weekend playgroup. after my misys taken her pneumococla this weekend.

Busy weeks

Well..after my missy birthday.. basically things are back to normal. excitement seems over. heee.. maybe being first tiem mum, i feel so excited over this ONE year old thing. cos hey we only have one time ONE year old le.. first ever birthday.

Well.. my girl now is growing up well. she can do many things that sometiems surprises most of us. she can now walk on her own without support. YES, at 12th month old she is consider fast. mum said must be the ikan bilis and big bones soup she made often for missy.. haaa.. strengthen leg bones? heee..MIL said cos she is keen to learn walking, even with few fall and knock here and there, she insisted on walking, thus, she finally succeded she now can walk without support. *Brave girl*

She can now put things in basket and take them out as she wish. motor skill tip top ! she even surprised me two days back by stacking rings MINE it's like i've introduced this stacking rings for months, and now suddenly she just knew how to do it on her own.. so REPETITION is very important.

she is able to hold pen to scribble on paper, she can feed herself with spoon 9not her meal, casual food). she holds her own bottle during milk feeding.she said "mm mmm" when wanna poo..most of the time is "chun" one... sometimes she said "mm mm" actually is pee pee.. still need to improve.

She can say papa..mama.. baby.. bear bear..bai bai.. ba ba...she know how to wave bye bye but not all the time still.. she plays pee-a-boo.. she will search for her toys that was hidden under blanket.. she throws toys from high chair and waied for us to pick up.. she imitate us to say "no no" with swaying fingers.. she imitate us to say "sh sh.." as in quiet she dances with music by swaying her hands high up..

she knows what is "face".."cheeks".."feet" & " fingers" she will move or point when i show her the flash card, she knows where is her eyes, nose, ear and mouth and will point when mum ask her in mandarine..

What else..woah.. i guess it's really a milestone to be able to pick up all these motor skills and cognetive skill from an infant that seem so helpless..

Im gonna prepare more activities for my girl soon..happy parenting.

Home Injury

Missy is very busy ptactising her walking at home recently. and as a result of letting her walk on her own.. she has improved quite a lot *beaming mummy*

However, i noticed that ahse always not concentrating when walking.. as if she is very good already. She will watch tv while walking.. so few times she fall and knock herself b'cos her hand miss the table while she walk and try to stop..

Again Wednesday, her b'day BIGGEST present la.. she has a very big knock on her left cheek bone.. one super big patch. cos she walk walk walk eye glued on TV.. and then slip while trying to stop in front of the coffee table.. both mum & LGG just beside but cant catch her in time.. so Poop.. very loud some more.. knock herself on the coffee table.. so so heartache.

she cry like never before.. so so painful i guess.. so mum quickly use the oil to rub for her lucky thing nothing serious jst blueblack.. like people punch like that..

Sigh.. so we shall have to do more protection againts our furniture.. even with the Emon protection gear on our tables.. she still knock..

Hopefully, she is stable soon with her walking and PLEASE NO MORE KNOCKING HERE AND THERE.. heartache ar..

Missy is ONE today

Well, sat was an early celebration for missy. Her actualy birthday is TODAY ! so daddy & mumy took one day off just to be with our sweetie pie.

Well, i planned to go picnic, but it rained in the morning. sob. so we went to visit my mum's friend instead. her daughter is interested with my playgroup idea. and she bought many toys from Leap frog , amazon online. woah.. seems like my online purchase with increase in time to come..encouragement !



Today we brought missy down for a walk in her tricycle again, i bought the bubbles from kiddy palace and we have great fun playing with bubbles. she is so excited over the floating bubbles whenever i blow it..

She is so cute in her yelow shirt and two small pony tails..she now knows how to say "shh" as in quiet..

Flash -d- Card

after getting positive result from Dr. Robert Titzer's flash card. i decided to make some of my own flash card using the lift-the-flap method.It's easy to make acually and cost savinsg to make my own.

Oh yeah, im gonna make one more lap book on missy's First birthday, she now has two lap book, one is Family album and the other her own birthday. *busy mummmy*

My Leap Frog Dvds arrived in just 7 days after ordered. SUPER efficient. It's simply convenient and pleasant experience to shop in Amazon *Thumbs up* But, the two DVDs are for bigger tots.. she missy still catch no ball..she only exposed to letter "A".. heee.



Today, LGG's turn to read to missy, see how messy her hair is.. *shake head* she now refuse us to clip her hair..We bring her for a walk round pur neighbourhood this evening in her new tricycle, she seems enjoying the walk.. hee.. and now she is so happy to be on trolley instead of in her pram..

My missy is growing fast ! i hope i can cope with her progress..i'm however a first time parent.. still have lots to learn. I guess im doing fine till now huh ! hee

First scribbles

I've started letting missy play with crayons 2 months back, she actually prcatise holding with her right hand using spoons/forks..

recently, when i let her play with pen/highlighter, she manage to hold it the right way. Today, i again revisit the scribble activity. Woah.. she manage to hold the pen right and scribble on the paper.. well.. she actually scribble beyond the paper.. it's on the floor and also on hr own hand.. muahahhaa

But, hey, she can draw now. so, my art & craft may start pretty soon, i guess.i already bought sponge & mickey mouse non-toxic water colour..*kiasu mum*

I'm a creative mummy to be.. muahh.. after reading the soulemama's creative family, i get so inspired, i even done up my personalised notice board, yet to hang up la.

My Missy FIRST Birthday *O*

Yipee.. we have a very happy celebration on Saturday for my missy's very FIRST Birthday ! I really think it was one of the best home celebration i'be ever had. All the food, except the 2kg cake are home-cooked. and we have people we are close with, all at home just to celebrate and share the joy of our missy's birthday. She is such a princess that day and so pretty in her princess dress. *proud mummy*



The Night before, LGG & I are preparing thre home decoration, how can birthday without balloons right ? missy is so excited and busy together with us..



I've made the birthday slogan with recycled paper (credit card brochures/tissue boxes..) not bad huh ! environmentally friendly !*green mummy*I bakde one loaf of milk loaf. but the stupid yeast act-up again. i gues i should always use new yeast instead of old ones.. sugh, nvm la.. the bread is not the main dish anyway.



everyone sleeps well till the next morning.. i woke up as usual at 6am.. start baking my egg tarts as i feel baking and eating on the same day is the freshest. so i started preparing the dough and filling and baking for 4 rounds. Mum cooking her "gong bak" and 'red egg" and fried some chicken wings & drumsticks, i then ad one more my specialty .. salad.. hee
MIl cooking chicken curry, fried bee hoon & one vegetarian dish. and we collected the cake from Jack's place .. all just perfect. The cake is so huge, the biggest cake i ever bought ! *wink wink*



Then, my missy changed into her princess dress, she is so cute..mum let her wear her present from mum & MIL.. she is so sparkling shinny.. *muakk* Then, it all followed by never ending phot takings.. and of course, birthday songs and cake cutting.. and guess what while we are eating, door bell rang, it was a parcel for missy. from her uncle all the way from Oz.. Sooo good timing ! he bought her 2 dresses & one disney piglet. so sweet of him and even made her cranes..



So, missy gets many presents ..she now loves to be in her tricycle, which i bought for her i bought minnie pendant for her too.

I wish my little girl stay healthy and happy forever. Muak ! Happy Birthday my sweetie pie !

Weekend activities -September #2

This saturday 13th September is missy lunar calendar's FIRST birthday.. so, mum cooked some "mian sien" for her , she is obviously spoilt with choices.one bowl of " me sua" , one durain mooncake (i brought home for mum, but just put in front of her to vary her choices.. haa, and one fatt gao, (mum made from left over sweet potatoes ).. missy is happy with so much food presented to her.. and mum feed her her very first "me sua" cutey cutey..her actual celebration will be this coming weekend ! cant wait



Then, we brought out the piggy lantern mum bought for missy one year back, before missy was born. now, she can even carry it already, it;s battery operated with songs and lights.. the photo was taken while missy carry the lantern when lights off.. but the flash make it seems like bright day.



Then, saturday, we went down to suntec, thinking of buying some Lego set (Toysrus on offer), but not much left, the one we tot may be suitable we already have. but not lego, but same concept.. so decided not to buy.. missy have a one day out with us..busy looking up and down.. then, evening, we have our moomcakes makaning at PIL's home and missy again get to carry lantern.. haaa..



Missy gets to play with balloon from Toysrus on sunday and i let her play with my pen,, as she keep disturbing em while im doing some cutting and drawing.. she seems to be able yto imitate me by holding pen and scribble on paper.. *good job*. she will come to my study room, to dig my stationary.. if i were to open cupboard, she will help me pull out files.s. play the keys.. just never once sit quietly..

Missy now loves to sit on the strolley when we go marketing, she will grab anything beside her *eyes rolling*

This afternoon,LGG made some crane for missy and hang in our study room. Missy is so happy. She always likesthe crane hung at PIL's study room. so we thought maybe we can make one here for her too. heee... nice.

This weekend, i felt tired. sat night, wanted to watch some movies.. but ended up sleeping through the whole show.. sob.

Flash Cards

You know, i started flash cards months back. But missy does not seem to be too enthusist with it. She can sit through the whole flash cards session but not much responds as in when i show her hands, she just look at the card and see me saying it..

This week, i noticed that whenever i flash "Fingers" she will move her fingers.. even before i flip the photo. Is that mean she recognises the word "FINGERS" i flash "face" she will touch her face.. these are the action i will do to her whenever i flash those cards.. i will move my fingers when i flash fingers and ask her "where are your fingers".. i will touch my face then touch her face when i flash "face" and ask her "touch my face, then touch your face"... she seems to understand it now...

she also know "cheeks".. now im teaching her "feet", action word like "blow" i will touch her feet when flash feet, she will follow my action by touching her own feet. and i will blow a kiss to her when i flash her "blow" she is still looking "blur' with my action..

seems like Dr. Robert's flash card works.. so i will be making more similat flash card with more organs vocab like "eye".."ear" "nose" "lips" .. she knows eyes too, as mum always teach her at home..

I tot of adding flash card to teach her "grandpa" "grandma" "father" "mother".. etc...already printed those family members photo.. it's now the matter of putting them all together..

Busy busy me..ohh.. As of the playgroup project, im already getting some contacts from mummies with baby same age as my missy (thanks to mum's social skill ) she always mingle with those nanny/grandma downstairs.. so get their daughter's contact.. haaaa

shall organise one after october.

Missy is picking up

We noticed that little missy is picking up things fast .. i guess this is the stage she is absorbing and mimicking us.

now, she points at things she knows or like and can even call them out like herself, baby..

today, mum taught her "pa pa" as in "scared scared" and pat pat her body, she learns it immediately, in the evening when we reached home, she can do the action whenever mum says it and she can even say it together "pa pa".. OMG.. how possible !

then, mum taught her to point at eyes, nose, mouth .. she can use her finger to point at her eyes when we say eyes.. when we say mouth/nose, she still point around the same place.. her cheek area.. she knows what we ameant but not too sure where to point yet.. but already this is a great improvement.. she can comprehend our words and actiosn very well *beaming mummy*

as i always recite the rhymes of "round the garden", now, when i say round and round the garden, like a teddy bear.. she will use her own fingers to circle her palm.. how cute is that !!!! i'm just too excited to see these progress..

it's like you put in effort in some project, and finally the project's result is getting obvious each day.. coming to end of project like that.. it's fruitful !

haaa.. interesting huh!

Weekend activities -September #1

Finally, it's September. mum coming back this sunday and MIL's 2 weeks nanny's tasks will be over.




so, this weekend, we did not do much new stuff, just our normal free activities. Little missy is busy practising her walking.. she can walk on her own without aid for more than 10 steps now. but, still we worried she will fall, as usually she will speed up as she walk and fall front. so, we are ever-ready to catch her. she seems happy with her new found skill now..

Then,afternoon, we went to have our dimsum again with her gong gong + po po.. actually it's an appreciation to their assistance to look after bb.. but, we don't want to explicitly say it, later they sure reject.. haaa.. they r very nice PIL. i must say.

then, we actually spent quite some time on the road as FIL kinda lost in directions when driving in town. talking about on the road, we actually spent 3 hours plus on the road on saturday night, just to go to my sis's place to pick up things from mum and come back home.. we too, miss some turning in the expressway and went all the way to Zoo.. LGG and i were joking that we should actually stop and take a photo before we drove off. sigh.. tt's the problem of not driving often enougha nd get lost so easily .. i some more no sense of directions, i simply CANNOT read the map/road directory !!!! so, do not count on me on driving or giving directions

sigh.. so saturday missy stay with PIL while lost terrible in expressway ! lucky thing we never bring her along.

Sunday, little missy gets to sit on shopping trolley for the very first time, she is sososo excited and thrilled with the shopping trip. while i busy doing my marketing, she is busy touching on all things besides her that she can get hold of..busy busy missy

Mum finally came home in the evening and missy is such a darling that she smiles so happily when see mum. That somehow makes mum happy la.. haaa..

forgot to add in that the bear note book & the sticker card were birthday gift from national library for missy, born in the month of September ! kiasu mummy like myself quickly go and redeem for my missy for her to play in the future. heee

I find that my little missy has lost of expressions from photos i took. This reminds me of what my granma used to say abt me when i was about 5-6 years old, i pose differently in each photos.. haaa.. so, it's like mother, like daughter kinda thing huh !
