Chinese New Year In S'pOre

who says S'pore CNY not happening ? who says S'pore CNY boring ? so many activities out there.. esp in china town.. just be in the crowd u'll have the cny mood already.. but i guess back home will have more visitings than here lah..

On our way to orchard from harbourfront.. wanted to go sentosa but seems like sentosa island was infested by indians n indonesians/phillipinos.. so we change direction to town.. town was sooo quite.. cos takashimaya n paragaon all closed for the day.. so we just walk walk see see..

Ang Pow..

My first Ang Pow this year.. from my beloved boss.. he said " u big girl now, Give u Ang Pow..but dun let others see.. heeee"



ghaaa.. $20 bucks in the ang pow...this is the first time my boss ever give ang pow to his staff.. so honoured..

on the ang pow boss write.. "stay beautiful and youthful forever" in chinese.. he said the one our French boss gave him he keep till now.. so i also must keep the ang pow.. dun just spend the money inside.. heeee..

that's my boss.. always emotional..too emotional sometimes we really cant predict what mood he is in.. anyway he has been nice to me since i joined.. so i'm darn lucky i guess.. must always preserve what i have now..in order to go further.

WoRk..

noticed that my boss like to give me work or call for meeting around 5:45 or 6pm..make me have to stay late.. siann.

I find that i cant just work for the sake of working.. this is not my boss's style .. he carries work home.. to sleep.. cos he think n worry all the time.. while me.. me.. i dun worry at all.. sometimes i feel guilty.. is that mean im not givin my best ? i dun take it that seriously as my boss.. maybe that's the difference between a manager and a emplyeee.. so to be at his position.. i have to re-adjust my way of working..not just do what is being told...mm.. got to review this.. after cny lah.. heee

tmw my last day at work before cny.. boss keep saying i marry leh,no need give me ang pow.. that stupid Jeff told boss i ROM le.. must be he heard conversation btw jen n i.. so kaypohh..i told boss not yet.. so he said then i can have ang pow.. haaaa.. then he ask when i wanna go his house during cny..aiya.. i dun plan to go actually.. cos others all dun wanna go.. siann...see how lahh

No MoOd 2 WoRk..

i tot i just decided to give 100% to my work..i tot i just reminded myself to be more vigilent..to work hard.. harder.. but how come i cant find any motivation to work hard ?!?

Holiday mood holiday mood..keep counting down...one down.. 3 to go.. friday on leave.. sis said go market early morning to get all the materials for steam boat..then spring cleaning.. yeah a bit late.. but better than never ..wonder how can i clear my piles of books/papers/letters on my table.. see also sian..

today department meeting..tom seems to be so unhappy cos boss did not treat him like usual..keep a distance ..n as usual he loves attentions and he wants to be pampered.. so angry with boss.. really dun understand some guy..so petty and acted like immatured man..GROW UP !!!

Jeff also another one.. he heard abt my increment and keep asking and of course im not telling .. he seems not so glad too..said usually contract's salary is higher so when turn perm should be lower .. well.. who asks my boss like me ?!? so no choice lor.. i get increment.. ghaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

so sometimes not only woman is petty and red eye to see u better than them.. read me clearly.. guys tooooooo...

Jen and i always beh tahan when talk about those guys in my department.. petty and childish...n they gossips a lot too.. one word will usually end up become one paragraph...

well.. if to look at the bright side.. this means not boring.. cos if everything smooth sailing.. then sure very bored.. so with these will have a bit of colours.. haaa..

CNY on Da Way...

Hard to believe CNY is coming this weekend..not ready.. not prepared mentally..so fast..mum n brother & co is coming over.. so looking forward to it..i'll be on leave on friday to pick them up..

Bought fire cracker for yann & chenn.. we will go china town when they come this friday..n do some last minute shopping.. i haven bought new clothes yet. mm....

First time i stay in S'pore for CNY.. partly cos sis may not be able to rush home on time as month end and mum they all tot it'll be a change to come to s'pore for cny instead.. so that's how this arrangement comes about. coincidently, we decided on the marriage thing, so JL's parents will visit mum during cny..

RaiNy Dayssss...CoLdddd..

nowadays our office temperature is 16 Degrees..night time it drops to 10 Degrees.. really in north pole.. too cold..i think i ever read some article saying that human brain function at its optimum at cold weather.. but feel so sleepy and brain-frozen at such condition..

Cant think well.. cant think well.... we will have a department meeting this coming monday.. cols were saying to suggest for cold wear.. cos really not so good for body if always in sch cold condition.. even our sweater/jacket not enough to keep us warm.. those seniour citizen ( uncles in my department ) still can take it.. i really respect them.. some suggest company to supply wine.. so that they feel warm at night. haaa.. later all sick cos taking alcohol..

feel like wearing jeans to work everyday.. warmer.. skirt also must wear long skirt. else leg trembling..now raining almost daily too... colder colderrrrr....

think of office.. start to feel cold again.. sighh...

Career and studies
I have completed the whole oracle & cisco, spent near 10k on the studies and exams and i've paid all of them with my own earning..amazing huh..

Switch job successfully. gotten a better salary job and beter boss with fun environemnt and lots of different experiences that anyone will not get to experience in normal working environment.

Goin to be permanent staff with upgraded salary and rank.

Studies not in my this year plan..maybe 2 more years if can sponsor by company, i wanna do MBA..

Health & Life
Been drinking vegetable + fruit juices almost daily as advised by my mum. feel healthier and good way to detox..

however, i think i still need to shed some more.. fat tummy and arm.. Grrrr....jia yu jia yu.. oh yeah.. this year i jog a lot.. way to go !!

and again the next best thing is that i decided to be JL's wife..we decided to settle down and share the rest of our life together..this is something im so looking forward to now.. cos this is a very long journey that we will be walking together..i hope we will face the challenge ahead with open heart and mind..and live happily ever after..

Travel
Went to Hong Kong with mum n sis.. lousy one.. cos i got sick.. stupid cold weather..but we have fun though.. went to bangkok with cols.. have great fun but will be better if get more sleepssss... shop in tireness. phewww..

Wanna go Europe.. but with the marriage coming along.. guess got to hold this plan till after our customary which is next year ?!? will see how .. sob sob..

My EmPloyMent...

today HR finally get back to boss saying they have gotten HO approval for my permanent status conversion..with the salary suggested by my boss.. hooo. happy happy..

boss wrote to me to tell me he always make sure he do something abt my career path..i thank him for not givin up on my employment.. really grateful of him.. eventhough these 2 days there are lots of problem on operational side. continuos problem.. he did not lunch for 2 days.. pitiful..

i think i will buy him some cny stuff as my appreciation to his support ever since i join him..where to find boss that always look after you and ensure u r in good hand ??

at the same tim, Karen said her PR application approved and she too being coverted to permanent staff.. what a news for both of us..good start of year 2006 ..

Name List for our dinner..

so.. got to know who are we inviting for our dinner.. list out names of relatives and friends that we wish to share our joy with..

Getting the name is not difficult but grouping them so that they are comfortable is quite a chanllenge.. cos each table can occupy up to be 10.. so if you have 12 friends from the same group..will be scratching head on how to arrange the seats..

I guess.. we are doing all right..we have got those need to be arranged n booked.. now left the super big one--> The House... we need a roof ..gotta be patience on this as my sis is in the midst of settling the conversion..n we have agent to assist us after that.. hopefully more new houses with good location is coming up after cny... fingers cross and hope for the best

but i guess the process is worthwhile and once a lifetime..no regrets..am glad that JL is always able to calm me down when i get agitated easily with things that doesn't turn out as expected....

Helen's WedDing DinNer..

nice hotel..nice food..but too much of waiting time..simple and sweet though..i guess no wedding dinner will ever be punctual even the guest are reminded in the invitation.. we waited for more than an hour just to get started..

Helen was beautiful as she always is..not much chance to talk to her though..her hubby was as humourous as i used to remember..

Tot of getting some ideas from her wedding for my own wedding..anyway.. got to gather more information to decide on what style i want and how i want it to be..

7th January 2004 was our first date...flying kite at merina bay..2 years later 7th January 2006.. he proposed... and reminded me of this date..sweet huh...

venue he proposed...the place he first hold my hand..n he compiled our smses.. emails..till the last page.. " Will you marry me ?"..
he touched me with such gestures again..how can i refuse right..

Actually we bought the ring and file our marriage registeration already.. but he said a formal proposal should be in place to make it complete..but still a surprise for me as he chose today..cuaght me off guard..

Been home in melaka from 24th Dec till 1st Jan .. spent xmas & New Year back home.. with company of JL..
