Welcome my bb Boy

Finally, he arrived on 19th February. im suppose to induce on 21st Feb, but he chose his time.

I started to feel cramp on tummy and backache in office on friday (19th Feb), i was telling LGG, maybe it's contraction ? cos it's not regular but it's pulling. But im still fine to do my work and all. and i feel dilation when i pee.. i told LGG< i'm sure i've dilated. haaa.. so it's so accurate.

When i bathed after work, i started to see blood discharge, it's those mucus with blood. I felt panicky already, cos never encounter such thing before, last pregnancy was induced with no sign of contraction or whatsoever. then i quickly smsed LGG, ask him quickly settle his work and come home, i may be delivering soon ? it's about 630pm then. Missy is watching her DVD and i only manage to feed her few spoonful of her dinner as she seem to fuss about.

Then i smsed gynae, he said will call me back later, as he is running his clinic now. after 30 minutes, still he is not calling and i started to feel rather strong contraction , so i smsed him again. i told him this is my second pregnancy, will it come faster ? he then said quickly go to hospital.

LGG then smsed in laws to come over to take over missy while he accompany me to hospital. we left home about 8 .... reached Thomson about 815pm..we then went to monitoring room, the nurse checked and said i was 6cm dilated.. woahh..

then, they called the gynae.. ask if i want epidural.. everything was quite fast.. i took my epidural, LGG registered.. Gynae came and said "dun worry, we will see the baby before midnight".. ohh.. so confident ? haaa.. then after the epidural i still can feel strong contraction, with soreness from my tummy till my back.. really painful... the nurse said try not to increase the dosage of the epidural, so i can feel the contraction this time..

then, gynae came back again. fully dilated.. about 11pm..or so. he asked to push..then finally bb was born at 11:23pm, 3.83kg..

but ihave lots to complaint abt thomson hospital soososos not up to my standard.

Pheww. Job completed. haaa. this time, the stitches are bad, cos bb is big. suffering still.

anyway, glad to see my bb finally, missy is so excited to see her bb brother.

Banana & Chocolate Muffins

The banana muffin i made yesterday simply good.. except the size is too big, LGG said two muffins make him full till noon.. see la.. feed him more complaint.. feed him less also complaint.. not say he ever bake anything for me ! MAN!

neeway, wanna keep the recipe for my future reference, i adopt this recipe from HBB again, her recipe always very good and confirm good stuff !

Banana & Chocolate Muffin


Ingredienst:
275g plin flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large bananas (abt 450g) <-- i use pisang emas, so i use 6 bananas.
100g brown sugar (i use normal castor sugar)
1 large egg, lightly beaten <--i use 2 small eggs
50ml semi-skimmed milk <-- i use full creamn milk (missy's)
75g unsalted butter, melted and cooled <-- i use normal salted butter
50g chocolate chops <-- optional

Methods:
1. preheat overmn to 180deg celcius
2. sieve together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a mixing bowl.
Mix in the chocolate chips.set aside
3. Peel the bananas and mash with a fork in a bowl. Add in brown sugar, egg, milk and melted butter. mix till well combined
4. Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients. With a wooden spoon or spatula, gently fold all the ingredients to form a wet batter. stir genlty, using only a few strokes and mix until the flour are incorporate into the batter. DO NOT Over mix. The batter shold appear lumpy.
5. Spoon the batter into the muffin cup. bake for 20mins or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

My 33th Birthday @ Home

I've been toying with the thoughts of baking my own birthday cake, using the steam moist chocolate cake recipe, this time with the chocolate fudge, feling qite lazy actually.

Today morning, LGG ask whether want to celebrate at Jack's place or Swensen.. mm.. well.. im also lazy to go out..so i decided to celebrate at home instead.

so, i started preparing the ingredients and all..steam the cake. then make the chocolate fudge (first time i make this) and hey, it turned out sooo well.. really after stirring for 10 minutes, it turned into fudge..in short, the cake, +the choclate fudge,, makes into my birthday cake..i deco it with some m&m choclates.which suppose to have more, but most ended up into Missy's mouth..*eyes rolling*



Missy is suppose to help mummy putting the m&m chocolate onto mummy's chocolate birthday cake, but she refuses to put them on, she "steal" the chocolate away instead. Lucky im fast to "protect" the rest of the m&m.. else my cholate cake will be real plain..




AFtr the chocolate cake is ready, i put them into fridge as we have to get ready like bath and all..and i askmaid to fry some french fries + seaweed nuggets + sotong ball (yeah, all fried )

Then i thought.. mm.. i have a bunch of bananas that;s riping.. why not make some banana chocolate chips muffins ( this is one of my want-to-do list) so ok lah.. go ahead ! since i still have lots of chocolate fudge left, i might as well put the fudge on top of my muffin after it's ready ? *good idea*. so i ditch the chocolate chips and replace it with left over chocolate fudge,, today will be all chocolate & fried food.. *sinful*

So tt's how we have banana muffin with fudge and missy's one candle muffin "birthday" cake.. she just love birthday. by the way, the banana muffin simply good...



Missy cant wait to help mummy to put the candles on the cakes, we make our birthday wishes and sing LGG sings birthday song for us.. and oh. only 3 candles on my cake.. cos we run out of birthday candles..nvm la..and the cake from fridge seem to crack a bit, so, next time better serve it warm.. else, not so presentable.. hee

My Bump

Last Thursday check up with Gynae, bb is already 3.2kg..scary ! missy was born at 3.3kg.. but now this little boy will definitely exceed the 3.3kg mark!

Im feeling so bloated and constant backache... in order not to have too big of the bb at 40 week, i will go for induction again this time. we have set the date and all, if nothing happen (no contraction or water bag burst) before the schduled date, we shall see my bb soon.

One more photo taken on Sunday, my bump really huge.. can see the arch of my back is much obvious from previous months.. but then, missy's tummy like flater this round.. haaa..it's the angle issue.. she is now 14.4kg.. at 29th month old.

CNY 2010

Today Missy's childcare is going to have a small celebration for cNY. each child is to bring 2 oranges for exchange, we do not buy any mandarine oranges so i substitute ir with oranges instead.. muahahha.. anyway, they don't mind..

past 2 days saw this red tube dress in Isetan, so cute.. cant resist it and bought it for missy.. see how missy who looks like a small adult in her tube dress.. we shall wear this during cny.

Today i let her wear her poney red dress, which she wore during her birthday, her teacher can recognise this dress (from photo brought to school for their lesson). and wonder why she pose this way today.. must be learning from some kids in childcare again.. *beh tahan*

This will be missy's third CNY ! Gong Xi Gong Xi~!

Sunday, again we drop by McD before SM class startd. i like the two together, they have great smiles..

that day, missy helps LGG to bring one pack of sugar + 1 pack of condense milk + 1 stirrer.. not bad, she seems to observe wat her daddy needs to drink coffee eventhough LGG already get those in place..

Sultanah Cornflakes Cookies

Finally i completed the cornflakes cookies.. yyipee.. i Thought maybe i will just give it a miss cos feeling pretty tired lately with backache and uncomfort due to tummy getting soooo huge.. i feel like penguin when i walk..


Today will see gynae, while waiting for the time, i just quickly get the cookies done. Yipeee.. simple baking.

This recipe is from mum's neighbour, the original recipe somehow MIA. mum has tried it and said can try so i proceed.

Raisin Cornflakes Cookies

Ingredients:
Self-raising flour 110g
raisins(or sultana) 100g
vanila essence 1 tsp

Butter 115g
sugar 50g
egg(big) 1

cornflakes 56g

1. beat butter & sugar until white and fluffy
2. add in egg, then mix in the dry ingredients, mix well
3. Make into small balls then bake at 180 deg celcius for 15 mins or until it turn golden brown.

Simple cookies for CNY !

Waiting games

My tummy is so big now, that i started to feel it's dropping downwards.. or is it my imagination ? i still have 3 weeks more to go..shall see gynae this thursday, see what will her say..

Starting to get backache when walk much, as mytummy weigh is making me lean bakcwards, stress on my backbones.. i cant see anything down south, it's rather difficult for me to bend down to pick things or even wear some strappy shoes. or even cutting my toes nails.

I feel extremely hot.. i sweat so much these days, which normally i hardly sweat. my skin is getting bad.. break out here and there...

i wanted to bring missy to beaches, to zoo, to jacob ballas, to underwater world.. etc etc etc.. but my body is not in the condition to do so much.. i feel tired.breathless even after a walk from our home to PIL's home.

tt's how much different 2 years made. When i was carrying missy, during my 8th month of pregnancy, i can still attend baking classes.. walk from train station to the class.. no such problem.. i dun experience backache that much, and i dun get sick that much too..

phew.. just hope my bb will arrive safely when it's time.. but dun wait too long, as his mummy is getting exhausted carrying the weight.

Missy @ 2 years 4 months old

it's about time to review missy's development after so long..

she can now speak quite well, in english, mandarin with few words, but she understands what we say in mandarin, just that she seldom want to speak in mandarin. she likes to repeat what we say.. i always say she is like parrot.. this happen to my mum's neighbour's son who is 2 months older than missy too.. wonder why at this age they like to imitate people.
she can speak in a string of sentences, give instructions "little princess" at home.. tell us what she wants. or what we should do..her grandpa always said her vocabulary is getting powerful..

She is very good at singing, english & mandarin.. hum & sing most of the time..she even started dancing and tell us she is dancing..

she can say 1 to 20 in english. yi to shi in mandarin. but i don't think she recognises the number yet..it's al bcos im too lazy to emphasis on this.. shall work on this..she knows her shapes well. she started to recognises colours now, like red/yellow/blue/green/orange/purple/white.. she can relate the colours with things around her e.g her pillow casing's colour (purple/red/white)..she recognises animals farm/wild animals and abl to say them out in proper words and able to relate the name with the animal toys.. she knows elephant has trunk and flapping ears..

she is pretty good at puzzle..bug pieces.. small pieces, she will anyhow "force" them together..she loves scribbling..she draws her own version of banana.. and she can draw circle (not so round but have opening & ending), she can do zigzag line, straight line..

she remembers where to get things at home and her granparents home. meaning she remembers where they are kept. she follow instrcutions most of the time, except time when she is fussing.. she can wear her own socks and shoes, she is now wearing her own shirt and pants, always refusing help from us.. she knows how to apply lotion, she knows how to paste plaster on her knee wound.. (after one fall in our aunt's home)

she loves grapes, apples, oranges, plus, papaya, melon, strawberry, she loves fish (salmon/cod) which she eats often, she likes fried food like french fries, nuggets, fish and chips, she loves cashewnuts that i always add in soup, she takes vege only when i chop the in small portion and add into her meal..she loves chocolate, ice cream (controlled food), she likes soya bean. now, she always want to feed herself, but i still find it faster and less mess when i feed her dinner, most of the time, i still take on this task, only let her self-feed things like corn or green bean soup.

she loves to know what we are doing.. and would like to be part of all our activities, eg, baking/cooking/talking...

she temper when we say "no" which we still trying to find ways to get her to accept this.. lGG said, maybe instead of say "no " to her.. we should suggest something else to distract her ? eg. " No, cannot eat chocolate" we should say "do you want soya milk?" which i guess may not work all the time, cos she sometimes VERY persistent. shall keep trying.

she loves shichida method class on Sunday, she loves to go to her grandparenst home on Saturday, she sometimes like to go to school on Mon to Friday.. im using these to teach her day.. Monday to Friday go to school Saturday we go Gong Gong's house, Sunday we go Shichida.. she knows this know..but i wonder if she knows the day means anything except of what i tell her..

she sleeps before 9pm each day (most of the days, except on days when we came back late) but most of the weekdays i wil ensure she goes to bed around 830pm, with some story telling, now we ensure we do linking memory and her milk, she usually doze off by 9pm. she will occassionally ask for milk in the early morning 3-4am.. but i usually will tell her wait till morning, so now, she usually will sleep through the night and get her morning feed at 6am or 630am. she wakes up latest by 7am, or earlier 630am..so she has about 9 to 10hours of sleep and weekday maybe 1 hour or so of nap in school weekends, usually i will get her to sleep 2 to 3 hours of nap.

after all these, she is still a baby to me..soon, she will be sister to her baby brother..wonder how she will react to it.. now we always tell her, talk to "di di" she will come to my tummy and say some words..but i don't think she understands much abt one more family member is joining us..

My little baby girl has grown so much now. it's so amazing to see such process. LGG and i still feel unbelievable at times. Love her with all our hearts and wish her Happy and stay Healthy all the times.

maid-matter

my coughing which lasted for more than 2 weeks seem subsided.. last week i was ok, no coughing and all, but yesterday while baking pineapple tarts, i ate some, today too, and i ended up coughing again.. shake head.. why so weak..i hope flu/cough bugs wont follow me this year.. choo choo go far far away !

and after my cough, LGG also cough.. maid also like slight cough.. i din pay much attention as when she cough, i told her what to take..recently, last week, i started to notice her voice a bit weird, like going to have cough or sore throat.. i ask her, she said slight throat arritation, nothing much. i dun bother that much la.. cos i myself also cough and all..

yesterday, i started to notice her rightt chin/near the throat part swelling up.. like people with thyroid..i then ask her what happen she said dunno, she said at first she thoght toothache, then after 2 days it swell up.. no pain.. and feel soft.. i then touch that swollen area, it feels like got lump of hardening.. yeak.. what's this ?? i asked her, want to see doc ? she said no need, nothign much !

but her mouth stink like what...then after discuss with LGG..we decided to bring her to see doc, just in case, any disease.. doc said it's hr saliva gland blocked.. and said when checked inside the area between tongue and molar, got whitish thing which look like got pus.. if antobiotic cant sure, may have to see specialist in SGH yeakk....

she now on antibiotics and pain killer, she told doc painful when eating.. but when i ask her she said no pain.. shake head.. while LGG brought her to see doc, i check her note book, she wrote there she has been in pain for 1 week, feel like dying blahh.. said she must have done somethign very sinful that caused her to suffer like this and said she missed her son so much feel like goin home to hug him.. blah..

I then confronted her when she was back from clinic. I told her, if she decided to keep quiet for any sickness and only wait for us to "discover" and now seem so serious already..she told me only started past 2 days, but her diary said 1 week plus lioa.. she then keep saying sorry to me.. i asked her if she wanna go home ? since already pain until want to die and miss her son ( i have been asking if she wants to call home or write home, but she said no need). she said no, she want to stay.

Feel super sian handling maid..this maid seem to be ok till now, 5 months plus le.. but if her condition worsen, i will have to send her back home, i cant bear her medical fees here, why should i ? she somemore still owe agency money, which we have paid for her upfront..

headache, hopefully, her condition gets better until after i give birth then see how!

Tiger year ! better be good ! dun want to have such bad luck like 2009 !

Some Creativity on weekend

Trying to keep missy busy with some arts & craft.. so, decided to make some animals with ice cream stick and put them on our plants pots..

While i prepare the drawing and cutting, missy is busy with gluing on cardboards..she even use the ice cream stick to apply the glue on the boards.



we have tiger (cos tiger year), piglet (cos missy loves piglet), panda (i just find it cute from website) and bear sitting on cloud (find it cute )

after we are donw, we just put the animals onto the flower pots.. now we have two butterflies, one bird, two tigers, two piglets, one panda, one bear in our corridoor garden...

Golden pompret

nothing much, just want to remember how big the Golden Pompret (pompano) that MIL bought for us for CNY.. she bought it every year, this year it's extremely large.. hooo..



it takes so much effort to just clean/cut it..

My second Batch of Pineapple Tarts

Today, i completed the second batches of pineapple tarts. phewww.. lots of work.. but i did it ! all by myself ok. while LGG entertaining Missy and kep her away from my baking place..

this round, i beat the butter +sugar until really peak.. and the result is much better, much fluffier.. buttt.. still not as good as my mum's.. oh well... our mother bakes/cooks better than us, this has been proven ! and my mum always use "agak-agak" method.. not like me.. measure until exactly.. still cant have the same result.. mum is "feel" it... now i must train my "feeling" with my ingredients when come to baking/cookn=ing to be good.. haaa

And i did some pattern on the tarts.. making it looks like pineapple.. this is my mum's pattern.. heee

now.. im thinking of making cornflakes cookies.. mm.. should i ? already bought the cornflakes..

Pineapple Tarts

just finished my first batch of pineapple tarts.. with two rounds of dough.. but the result is so disappointing.. thr texture is not as fluffy as the one mum made. sob.. i already put in the eaxact same ingredients.. HOW COME ?!?

The taste is good, but the look is aweful ! missy keep disturbing so i have to quickly do and the shapes all vary.. but i dun mind so much of how it look now, i mind abt how it taste.. sob.. fail for look & taste..

I still have one more container of the pineapple which mum made for me before she went back home. shall retry tmw.. make a fluffy dough..

Baking ...

I have so many things that i wanna bake.. wholemeal cookies, steam bao etc..but im lazy...tmw will do my pineapple tarts.. hopefully can finish in one night..

One more week left to CNY. fast.

wonder when my bb wanna meet me.. hopefully after cny. let me enjoy the food first.

Conversation with Toddler

Missy is coming out from the terrible two stage.. tt's something i observed, she started to listen to us, more obeying but still cant sit still type and recently, i noticed she will even "argue" with us

When i find her doing something not right, i will say
Mummy : "Sue Hann Naughty Girl"
Missy : "No, Sue Hann Naughty Girl" <-- she actually means Sue Hann is not naughty girl

or i say
Mummy: "Don't stand so near the TV, else, i will switch it of"
Missy: "No, i will switch off" <-- she actually means, don't switch it off

sometimes i will just tell her off with her action, like she likes to take my shoes and wear etc.. she will try to talk back which most of the times, not in proper sentence, but usually will have "No.. blahh.."

oh well..she talks more than me now.. i should say she sing more now.. her chinese teacherLing laoshi told me, she is good at singing. haaa.. yeah.. i guess she is right, cos missy is like a radio at home, keep singing.. sometimes can sing the same songs repeatedly.. when we interrupt, she will say "STOP !".. then she continue..
