ApprECiatIon
I decided to buy some fruits + bird nest basket to boss's wifey. i ask Jeff n Jen. they all ok. So we go ahead to order online. I found the address from phone book, Jen got the postcode, we went through the website n decided which to buy. She made the order. that's it. Jeffrey din do anything but just to pay.
So the shop said will deliver around 5pm. We r fine lor. today meeting n meeting. i almost forgotten all about it. the after our final meeting around 5 plus. boss suddenly email to 3 of us said he is touched with our gesture of showing concerns to his wifey. they love us all. Muahh.. cant stand it. he is always like that. Last year when we celebrated his b'day, he said he almost cry. i almost fainted.
Anyway, i guess a little something to make him n wifey happy is something very thoughtful from us right ? hee. Bonus big big can liao. !!! Jen felt the same.
Happy Working. Another wise and right decision made ! happy !

AuDitors ComIn 2 Town
This is once in 4 years event. HQ auditors from Paris will be coming down to inspect Asia Regional aka our side. Bored. Cos have to compile n documents all the process n control. I wonder why all these years there is no proper documentations. i have to create most of the documentations. felt so fake. only do it when auditor is checking.
Boss said it's "cosmetic" but better to have it than being pin-pointed as not managing well with proper control ?
Geess. bored. weekend got to go back to work !! lucky got $$ else sure bang wall !!
boss's wife went through knee operations, minor one. ok now. i tot of buying some essence of chicken n fruits to deliver over his home. But seems like my cols dun like the idea. mm. im not trying to "polish shoes" or what. but i think he has treated me well. a little concern for his family member is not wrong right ?
I guess i will go ahead if they dun want to join. i hope i've made the right decision. cos i find lots of words flying around when we do things that favour boss. they just hate him. i think i dun have to care so much as long as he thinks im doing well in my job. afterall, he is the one decides my salary, bonus n position.
political ! political ! im learning to be political-proof ! got to wear thick thick clothes!

BLoo-Dy daY
Today one of the European company invited boss to a exclusive sharing of their product. Boss brought me along. It is a very exclusive invitation. There is a welcome sign board just for us. Our name cards, welcome gift. all you can order starbuck drinks and continental hotel ala-cart lunch (costs them $200 + )
Continentl Hotel food was fantastic i must say. BUT very costly of course. one bowl of soup-of-the-day costs $18. one orange juice costs $12. i had atlantic salmon which costs $48 per dish. For dessert, i had italian Gelato ice cream which im too full to finish. wasted.
A great experience. Beside the product intro, we are given lucky draw. boss chose no "7". I chose JL's birth-date "5" and guess what i got ?
i got a laptop bag. which cost around $80-100 outside so happy. Boss got a multi purpose adapter. He kept eyeing on my bag. Cant stand him. keep asking me to give him. im so reluctant cos i wanted to give to JL. then vendor is "smart" enough to say that they will send one more similar bag for boss. cant stand him always like that.
Ohh. the thing i wanna tell is that.this morning before we left to the vendor's site. I found out my "good-friend" came. This time really unprepared. the symptoms not so obvious. i felt it is coming but din know so soon. I was wearing G-string which makes it so hard to wear the pad. Damn. n im wearing a light beige colour skirt which makes it so very difficult to disguish should any leakage. Damn !!
But no choice, cos i cant be telling my boss that "hey, im having period. Inconvenient to go site-visit ?" Just have to b careful ! so i have to go ladies whenever there is a chance. n sit carefully. whole day i cant sit comfortably. But luckily, no leakage till im home safely. Thanks goodness !!
How i wish i dun need to have period. So so so troublesome !!

A touching stories..
After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, "I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you."
The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my mother, who had been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my 3 children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. "What's wrong, are you well?" she asked. My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.
"I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you, " I responded. Just the two of us." She thought about it for a moment, and then said, "I would like that very much."
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an Angel's.
"I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed," she said, as she got into the car. "They can't wait to hear about our meeting."
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady.
After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. "It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small," she said. "Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor," I responded.
During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation-- nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you." I agreed.
"How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I got home. "Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined," I answered.
A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her.
Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place where mother and I had dined. An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless I paid for two plates -- one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. "I love you, son."
At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: "I love you," and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till "some other time."

CroC HunTEr
Reaaly shocked to hear the news of Steve Erwin killed by Sting Ray. He suppose to hunt for croc and why sting ray ? Ironic isn't it? It's like you are bus driver but killed in airplane crash kind of logic.
radio said, In Australua, his death is felt similarly to Princess Diana's death in Britain. He is an Australia-Icon for his croc hunting stunt n his daring encounter with wild animals. Many people go to Sydney Zoo just to see him. Not the animals. His wife fall for him in the zoo too.
I used to adore him for his adventures. So daring n fun. and he ever famous cry "crickey" whenever he was in the stunt of catching wild croc. After him, there are many more wild animals tv host but i still prefer Irwin.
Too bad, good things never last. good people too.
Let him rest in peace and condolences to his wife n children.

The ambience was good. they r using the daring red for the decoration. wash room is super red n when i was alone in the ladies. feel kind of creepy.
The food n drinks are "extremely" costly. one plate of finger food costs $18 one glass of house wins (french wine) $12. I have been drinking glasses after glasses of orange juice. i took wine only before we go for the show.
The show started at 10:15 with 15 minutes break in the interval then continue till about 11:40. The seat costs $85 in deluxe B which is at the side of the stage . LOUSY. cols r complainuing that why we cant sit in the middle. must be vendor pay at lousy rate. I wonder how much is the ticket for middle row.
We sit at higher row which allowed us to overview of the other cols.we can see how the vendor (ladies) flirting with our bosses. cheapskate woman. but this is how they survive. they use this method to get contract 1.2 million contract our spending that night is around 3k plus. is peanuts to them.
some photos taken. The ang mo is our french boss. i mean x french boss. hee

FrenCH ConnEctiOn
Did u know that Eva (desperate housewife actress) is learning French b'cos her partner is speaking French when they make out and she dun understand. She freak out and decided to pick up French to "Enhance" their love making ?
All sort of weird reason for doing something huh.
Ohh. Im learning French too. not b'cos my husband is speaking French in bed but b'cos this is one of the thing i intend to do this year which i missed the registration in April. So before reaching the end of the year. I shall register FOR SURE this time.
The class will be starting in 20th Sept - 8th November. every wednesday. 8:30 -10:00 pm in CC near my home.

CrAzy HoRsE !_!
French boss leaving us. New boss coming.
We will have farewell dinner for him this wednesday at bay shore. Thursday Vendor is throwing another farewell party for him. All invited. Guess where will it be ?? hoo. YEASSS>. Crazy horse It Is !!
Woahh. They will be getting a private room for all of us and the "GIRLS" will perform just for us. i think the guys will be thrilled with the "treat".
Since the Crazy horse started in S'pore, not much of overwhelming response. Cos the performance is way too conservative comparing to Paris's crazy horse. I guess our Paris boss will just go there for the wine n expensive drinks. Not for the gers. They have seen a far exciting one back home.
I tot if i were to go Paris, i will drop by to watch the Crazy horse performance. But it will be good to see it first locally. Anyway, i dun have to pay a cent to enjoy the performance? mm. I wonder if their bodies is sexy ? muahh..
Shall try to see if photo is allowed. kekekek. which part to take ? ghaaa..

CurRy FISh HEaD ?!?
Friday We went out for 2 hours lunch with Boss + Jeff + Vendor. Boss wanted to eat the ever-famous curry fish head at Changi Village. So off we go.. Changi Village ! Here we come.
I guess we have to know which shop to eat to get the best Curry Fish Head ? Cos the restaurant we went to has a big sign board stated "Best Curry Fish Head" .
But boss they all commented that the dish is not as expected. The Real good curry fish head is very aromatic. But we din smell that.
Anyway, i enjoyed the super big crabs more than the curry fish head. The curry gravy is nice but the crabs is nicer. Im a crabs Lover ! The pepper crabs is better than No sign Board. Cos the pepper is so spicy. Shiok.
After the lunch, we walked around. I noticed the boat station to go Pulau Ubin has changed so much ! It is completely different from what i remembered 5-6 years back.
Gees. that was long.
The last time i went was with YokoGawa colleagues. Those were the days. The Indonesian guy is aftering me. But i think he is just not the type im looking for ? Or maybe cos im still too young ? (still undergraduates).
My sense to romance dun come early. It only comes after i start working. Slow huh.
I still see him once a while in redhill area. Th last time i bump into him, he said he is working somewhere near there. Small world.
Im gonna go P. Ubin again with JL. To rewrite the "last" memory i have in P.Ubin.

MarAthOn-Ing
SafRA MarAThon Again !!

This year Jen they all cant make it. So JL and i went on our own.
Boss is running 21km so he left early as it started at 5:30am.
JL n i went for 6km that started at 8:00am. Already he is complaining sleepy lah.. go eat breakfast lah.. blahh..beh tahan ! so demoralising.
I was so excited. I dunno why but the crowd somehow motivated me. I started running and keep asking JL if he is ok ? cos he seemed bored and keep saying crowded n stuffy. ECP better blahh. Almost punch him cos so noisy. hee.
but then he seemed to pick up as we run. I started to feel exhausted and cant go on when we reachd 3KM. i have to walk. JL is still able to run. Geesss.how come he is fitter than me ? i go gym worr !!! so i've walked for 1km plus with JL running slowly to accompany me. the sky is so cloudly by then n it just started to rain. We don't want to get sick. we gave up the run and hide into Suntec City.
You'll be amazed at some runners. They run with baby pram !!! wonder if she is going there to run or what !
I guess ST marathon will be more fun n treat to "man" eyes as ST will have more working ladies who will show up in sexier running gear !
I think im going for Safra run again next year. At least this year i run continuously for 3km. Last year i accompanied Jen and most of the time we r walking.
For recording purposes, the journey of 4km+ we took 40 minutes.
After the run, we had Prata. Muahh.

Muahh.

Today supposed to celeb Meilin's birthday (past) ended up it felt more like a gathering. Meilin + Suh +Jia + kenny + Wei Lian (first time see him)
Some updates on their side though.
Meilin is in a relationship with the guy he used to hate. it proves love and hate is barely a thin line away. she has moved on with her career and will be starting her new job.
Suh started her master course in NTU. she determined to grab more opportunities from IT people like us.
Jia rebonded hair looks more feminine. not much updates on her side.
Kenny is sitting on the fence.. whether to go for SAP or Oracle CRM course.earning big bucks. planning to buy condo some more. still the funny guy. and the usual weakness of him "Bo sim".
Ji we liang. been fwding emails to each other but never met in person. he seems fatter than in the pictures. he is starting his job in s'pore.a new challenge for him i guess.

JL's Birth-date
The Life Path 2 suggests that you entered this plane with a spiritual quality in your makeup allowing you to be one of the peacemakers in society. Your strengths come from an ability to listen and absorb. You are a fixer, a mediator, and a very diplomatic type of person using persuasive skills rather than forcefulness to make your way in the world . . When you embrace and exhibit the strenghth of your spiritual side, you are intuitive, avant-garde, idealistic, and visionary. These extremes make you interesting with much to offer society. You have the potential to be a deep-thinker, and no doubt interested in understanding many of life's mysteries and more intriguing facets.
If you are living with the positive attributes of the number 2 Life Path, you are apt to have the most delicate ability to be balanced and fair. You clearly see the full spectrum of viewpoints in any argument or situation, and because of this, people may seek you out to be a mediator. In this role you are able to settle disputes with the most unbiased flair. There is sincere concern for others; you think the best of people, and want the best for them. You are honest and open in thought, word and deed. You excel in any form of group activity where your expertise in handling and blending people can be used effectively. Manners and tact mark your way with others, and you are not one to dominate a group or situation. You are the master of compromise and of maintaining harmony in your environment. As the ultimate team member, you never demand praise or recognition.
In many ways, you are a creature of habit and routine, and you like your path and pattern well worn and familiar. Your ability to analyze and render accurate judgments is a wonderful natural trait you bring to the business world. You strive for complete accuracy and even perfection in your work. Perhaps you are not a leader, but you are a visionary and a very talented idea person.
On the negative side of the 2, nervous energy is a trait often observed in the 2. Because of this, you may be seen as an extremist who is sometimes the zealot in expressing likes and dislikes. Nervous tension can bring the normally easygoing 2 into a state of emotional outrage, which to those around you, may seem so out of character. Indeed, the 2 can sometimes become oversensitive. In some instances, the strength of the 2 can also become its weakness. You may find it hard to decide what to do at times. Twos often struggle against indecisiveness. Making decisions and getting your life in gear, so to speak, may be a challenge. There is a tendency for the many 2s to harbor feelings of uneasiness, and dissatisfaction with accomplishments and personal progress in life. The biggest obstacle and difficulty you may face is that of passivity and a state of apathy and lethargy. The negative 2 can be very pessimistic. When this sets in to any degree, you are able to accomplishes very little. If living on the negative side of the 2, you may lack common sense, and you are quite often unable to distinguish between fantasy and reality.
Even the more positive individuals with the 2 Life Path will prefer a more amiable and less competitive environment, often shunning the business world. You can best serve society in endeavors utilizing your skills of counseling and guidance. Much of your idealism is people oriented and quite humanitarian in nature. You expect a great deal of yourself.
My birth-date
The Life Path 6 suggests that you entered this plane with tools to become the ultimate nurturer, and a beacon for truth, justice, righteousness, and domesticity. Your paternal, or maternal, as the case may be, instincts with a 6 Life Path exceed all others by a considerable margin. Whether in the home or in the work place, you are the predominant caretaker and family head. While the 6 may assume significant responsibilities in the community, the life revolves around the immediate home and family, for this is the most domestic of numbers. Conservative principles and convictions are deeply ingrained and define your character.
You are idealistic and must feel useful to be happy. The main contribution you make is that of advice, service, and ever present support. You are a humanitarian of the first order. It is your role to serve others, and you start in the home environment. You are very human and realistic about life, and you feel that the most important thing in your life is the home, the family and the friends.
This is the Life Path related to leadership by example and assumption of responsibility, thus, it is your obligation to pick up the burden and always be ready to help. If you are like the majority with Life Path 6, you are one who will willingly carry far more than your fair share of any load, and you are always there when needed. In doing so, you take ownership and often become an authority over the situation.
In romance, the 6 is loyal and devoted. A a caretaker type, you are apt to attract partners who are somewhat weaker and more needy than yourself; someone you can care for and protect. The main ingredient that must prevail in the relationship is complete harmony. You don't function well in stressful relationships that become challenges for you to control. It is the same with friends, you are loyal and trustworthy. But there is a tendency for you to become dominating and controlling.
It's likely you feel compelled to function with strength and compassion. You are a sympathetic and kind person, generous with personal and material resources. Wisdom, balance, and understanding are the cornerstones of your life, and these define your approach to life in general. Your extraordinary wisdom and the ability to understand the problems of others is apt to commence from an early age. This allows you to easily span the generation gap and assume an important role in life early on.
The number 6 Life Path actually produces few negative examples, but there are some pitfalls peculiar to the path. You may have a tendency to become overwhelmed by responsibilities and a slave to others, especially members of you own family or close friends. It's easy for you to fall into a pattern of being too critical of others; you also have a tendency to become to hard on yourself. The misuse of this Life Path produce tendencies for you to engage in exaggeration, over-expansiveness, and self-righteousness. Modesty and humility may not flow easily. Imposing one's views in an interfering or meddling way must be an issue of concern.
The natural burdens of this number are heavy, and on rare occasions, responsibility is abdicated by persons with this Life Path 6. This rejection of responsibility will make you feel very guilty and uneasy, and it will have very damaging effects upon your relationships with others.

SomeONE out-TheRE
I was telling HL that, past few days on my train trip home, i saw a couple.
The ger is those down syndrome (her face tells me that), a bit retarded in her movement. the guy seems normal, a bit on heavy side. They r holding hands, the guy is holding her, playing her hair. the ger seems very much in love and all.
This is so ironic.
Normal gers with proper look, normal body movement, good educations, holding high post. But yet, cant get herself a boyfriend.
What's wrong with our society ? i gues the man is not working hard or wat ?
HL says she is giving up. she just too busy with her work and no time to meet someone. She is my brother's age. My brother already has 2 boys with the eldest boy reaching 10 next year. tsk tsk tsk.
I hope she will find her special someone. Cos i always believe there is someone there for everyone. Just the matter of time for u both to meet.
Best of luck to her.

I always noticed ladies (aunties) dun bother to shave. They wear sleeveless blouse, short skirt, like any of us. But they expose their leg's hair, armpit hair at the same time.
Today, an aunty sitting opposite me in the train. Wearing knee length skirt. She looks fine if you dun look at her pair of leg. Her leg's hair is long and so obvious. I find it not so pleasant to see especially in office. Imagine u r having meeting with well-suited gentlemen and u r wearing skirt n all but exposing ur leg's hair or when u r presenting some project, lifting ur arm and showing everyone in the room ur bushy armpit ?? YEaaaakk
Pleaseee... auntiesss.. SHave !!! just a little effort. Aging does not mean dun maintain !! Phew!!

TraiN ooooo
Will u "always" give up seat to elderly or pregnant lady ? It depends right ? Especially after work, tired and long journey. really hard to give up the precious seat to ANYONE.
Today, like usual, after work, tired. Got a seat and feel happy cos can sit down, rest my leg n listen to radio and rest my eyes. But just the next stop, one family came in with baby Pram, one kiddo, father + pregnant mum. The guy beside me immediately give up his seat to the kiddo girl. The father holding the pram n the mum leaning against the side of the train. I was like.. "by right" i should give my seat to the pregnant mum. But.. But..my mind is willing but my body is too weak to even stand up. they r telling me, "forget it, pretend u r sleeping"
Im just too lazy to stand up, as i know if i were to give up my seat, i'll have to stand from East to West the whole 30 minutes of train journey.
call me selfish ! call me not considerate ! call me anything. just dun expect me to give up my seat to ANYONE when it's time for em to go home from work.
Neeway, the pregnant mum seems healthy, she is walking up n down to take things from her ger or talk to her husband . i guess even if i offer my seat , she may not want it huh. so forget it..

CanT liVE wiTh-OuT PhonE
Today course. before i leave home, i realised my phone battery is running low.
No time to charge the phone, just grab the charger , tot can charge in class.
But too bad, the class has only 3 head secured plug which requires adapter and my phone is 2 head plug and no one has the adapter. so, no choice, my phone bat went flat during lunch time.
I felt so uneasy when i know im not contactable. worry if boss is looking for me or JL will miss me cos no sms from me.. hee..
I think this has become a "sickness" . We r so used to having our mobile phone. we check our phone all the times. life without phone is really not comfortable now. Gees.. how we depend on our mobile phone. feel unhealthy. i wonder i can dun check my phone or on my phone or email for a week. .. scary to even think of it. i guess i shall stay put with life with mobile phone and emails.

Our SatuR-Day
morning met up with contractor to fix the slanted cabinet. adjusted the balcony sliding door. now gottta call up hdb to fix the service balcony switch plug, it seems loosen and not tagging to the wall. lousy.
We found out there is free IKEA shuttle bus from Sengkang.yong ever mentioned to me but i just din bother. since we saw the shuttle bus queue, we just take the free ride to IKEA lor. 45 minutes ride from sengkang to Ikea. far.
Ohh.. we explore a bit of Compassvale today. found one foodcourt few blocks away. But still we find compasspoint convenient and nearer to our home.
Din get anything from IKEA again. wanted to buy plates. But JL keep saying check with his mum first since they have lots of spare sets. Dissapointed. i wanted those pure white plates n bowls. angry. throw temper at him. he said i always do that, throw tantrum at him when he dun agree with what i want. mm. I guess i have to review my temper. i noticed i did that quite a lot to him nowadays. bad bad bad. must keep my emotion in check.
neeway, we went swimming this evening. few laps and we got all soured. arm pain. Tmw have to make another trip to Sengkang again for the curtain wall patch up. Hopefully we can got up on time. limps sure tired.
Got to make it a point to exercise at least once a week. keep our hearts pumping, healthily.

I've been having knee pain recently. Maybe too cold in work place and been jogging too much for the past months ? Geesss. old lady symptoms.
I guess the best exercise for me now is something not too hectic? like swimming ? Da best ? i've stopped going to gym or should i say lessen the visits to once per week. feel fat now. cos been eating n eating. today course at hotel. AGAIN, im eating n eating, the food is darn good. How can anyone with conscious mind can resist it ??? darn the little tiramisu n cheese cakes is reaaaaalllly good.. yum yum. Tomorrow one more day of makaning. I will exercise after that. a promise to myself.
JL is not exercising since he works till very late everyday. So must make him exercise with me. swimming is best. So, saturday we shall go swimming. hope i can still swim. the last time i dip in swimming pool was years back. Wow, how time flies.

StOck Check
First time i did stock check. This is part of auditing point. Boss wanna expose me to this experience. Today, jeff n i went down to Cisco to do the tapes stock check.
A boring session cos we have to go through all the backup tapes to ensure they r tally with our records. After the stock-check, tmw i still have to write a report and send to boss. bored.
My col (aka mentor) went to Australia for application implementation. I heard he will be going to India & Japan for the same task. Sob sob sob.. when will be my turn. boss said no worries. my chance will come. but can it come earlier ?? cos i cant wait to fly too !! business class some more k.. so envy
Boss is budgetting for new laptop for me. i have one free one from vendor which the desktop team claims is not the right version for bank's standard OS. so i will use the free laptop for my personel use lah.. heee. The new coming laptop shall be configured so that i can remote access to company network. Meaning work from home n after office hour ? mm.. good n bad huh.
Tmw have to write report, have to help boss draft emails. have to folow-up with vendors and meeting with them. feel like going to be sick.. too much sticthing make me sleepy. tired.
I shall stop stitching for today. rest my eyes. going blind.

It's Him Or Me ?
Wonder why, things i told him or said to him, that i can still remember, he dun remember and ask me as if i HAVE NEVER EVER told him before.
I kinda fed-up as this has been the nth time. He din notice i have curled my hair or changed my nails colour or changed my wallet or anything else in details. OR things i told him before, even just 1 day ago. he dun remember and ask me again. Frustrated really.
Is it me or him ? but i guess if he cares he should show some interest in those details ? not after i told him then he realised i've changed something from normal ?
Yeah he is busy with work, stress with work.
But a little bit of concerns over what his girl is making effort to look good is very much appreciated. This applies to things i told him.

How To Manage Him
*How To Manage Him *
When you marry a man, love him.
After you marry him, study him.
If he is honest, humour him.
If he is generous, appreciate him.
When he is sad, cheer him.
When he is quarrelsome, ignore him.
If he is slothful, spurn him.
If he is noble, praise him.
If he is confidential, encourage him.
If he is secretive, trust him.
If he is jealous, cure him.
If he favours society, accompany him.
When he deserves it, kiss him
Let him think how well you understand him.
But never let him know that you manage him.

Going BA-na-NA
After Reading THIS, you'll NEVER look at a banana in the same way again
Bananas

Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose
combined with fiber, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana.
The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your
mood.
Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of haemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it the perfect to beat blood pressure. So much
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore
normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana
milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the
affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders
because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers.
Smoking: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6,B12
they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat,
sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we
are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.
Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill
off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the
yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it
to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other
vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.
So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say,
"A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

In-LawS..
Im still trying to get used to being with JL's parents. they r nice people. Just like my mum. But it takes time to get close/comfortable with each other.
JL ask if i like them. i do think he care how i feel abt his parents.
Well, i do. but i haven learn to enjoy being with them, yet.
I have yet to call them " ma " or "pa" still find it weird to call people other than ur own parents "ma" or "pa".. this too, takes time to get used to.
Dun worry, it wouldn't be that hard to accept someone else in my life, just like i have accepted You in my life :0)
House renovation is completed. Just final touch up. Happy. will start to think of how to place furnitures.
Now, im busy with my cross sticthing. bought one very big cross stitch with sis last week. Wanna make one and frame up and put in my dining room as decoration. My 3 months project !!

Read out loud the text inside the triangle below.

More than likely you said, "A bird in the bush," and........
if this IS what YOU said, then you failed to see
that the word THE is repeated twice!
Sorry, look again.
Next, let's play with some words.
What do you see?

In black you can read the word GOOD, in white the word EVIL (inside each black letter is a white letter). It's all very physiological too, because it visualize the concept that good can't exist without evil (or the absence of good is evil ).

Yesterday, we went to eat crabs. It was farewall dinner for YK (JL's brother). He is going away to further studies and will fly off this coming wed.
reminded me of the days when i was in the same exact dilemma. So wanted to leave home town to explore the somewhere out-there. But miss home terribly.
I can still recall how i was crying at night cos miss home so much and never been so lonely in my life. i was all on my own.
But things always get better after some time. I make friends. i start to enjoy my hostel life. i start to get used to the stressful exams. I start to join activities that i enjoy.
n now im stepping into another stage of my life. no more studies. n im never alone anymore.
Neeway, naturally i became the photographer of the night, help to take "family" photos. i felt like an outsider. mm.. I am wat. Gees.. confusing.
crabs is good. at home i used to eat the best part of the crabs. But u see when u r with someone else, the big claws have to give to junior member and senior member. So i eat the most leceh parts.. the small claws that take me whole night to chew n bite and i think i need to see dental soon. muahh..
Not sure why, i dun really enjoy eating with JL's family. always feel so awkward. Not much things to say. feel so not my place.

GoiN curLy ?!?
During the wedding photo shooting. The make-up ger curled my hair. i kind of like it. After i let go my hair, i look very lady like and sexy. muahhh...JL may not agree with it as he ONLY likes long straight hair. MAN !!
maybe later i will go n buy thoese curler (plastic one, the one our mum used to have) I had the electrical curler but it is not easy to curl our own hair since u cant see the back of ur head and it takes longer time to curl the hair, hold on it and let go. Arm is extremely tiring. Believe me.
So after the experience during the photo shooting hair styling, i will try to use the traditional curler, which seems to work for my hair. a bit of hair spray . my hair can curl the whole day. cool
Shall try it out and let u see the outcome.
Im going SexIer...hair style.

FranCE !!! Go !!! U Go !!!
Im Sure to support France. Im working in French Company. logical right ? But being physco by my sis that portugal is stronger, frenh players are mostly "seniour" players. In another word, old n weaker. so my support towards France was shaken and being realistic. I bet ten bucks for Portugal.
PTuiii.. Portugal Kelong one. They lost it. Phtuiii...
so i decided to remain my support to France for the final. Gosh.
They maye be older but hey, older means experience wat !!
ButTTTT prediction says, Italy will win. GrrrRRr
Neeway, Boss decided to bet for France too. He too lost bet to portugal.
Company sponsored for final match vewing at Hotel. But i guess at 03:00 am i better sleep than watching those mad men chasing after one ball game. Boring.
I rather hug my smelly pig pig and dream my way to the next day.
We were saying, if France won. will we get a day holiday or leave in lieu kind of thing. Clapping happily. many cols on leave on 10th July (Monday) .
Football Fever !! or Football Flu !!
U go France !! Go !! Go !! Go !!
cant find animation of France flag. still flag will do lah. Just make sure they win.

T.H.U.R.S-day NitE
met up with Yumin at City hall after work. She has changed quite a bit. prettier i guess.shorter hair. sexier attire. we haven met for more than 3 years.
she was telling me abt her social life. no boyfriend yet. working hard to find one. her bf CANNOT shorter than 170cm . seh recall man by their heights. mmm..she joined SDU. she went out with friends. she try to social as much as she could to know someone. she joins activities. she is happy. she is quite different in a way as maybe she has exposed to more people/activities. open minded than i remembered. but somehow, when she speaks. i still feel the same old Yumin who do not know how to beautify her words. she is still that straight forward and not language-wise.
Yidong & Helen waited for us at the restaurant. we have "Ma la" steamboat. i had sore throat after the dinner @_*.
We had quite a fun chat. from work to marriage life to caring abt Yumin's singlehood. haaa... Yumin & YiDong keep arguing. we jokinglu said thy like cat & dog when meet will fight. But just for fun.
Helen's father-in-law passed away 3 months back. sudden one.
she till now no license. the car they bought only used by her husband. she dun even know how to start the engine. we all fainted when hear that.
she dun plan for baby now. she said wanna enjoy for a year.
Yidong..dunno how to describe. i still find him weird in some way. the way he laugh. fake. he has a kelantan gf. Helen kept saying he is "xiao bai nian" little white face cos he is very fair.
gotten quite a fair bit of news of our NTU frens. Not all i remembered.
Tmw got to go n renew my passport. then go n settle house reno. hopefully they have amended what i have pointed out.

Foot Reflexology + _ +

Received this article from a fren. Maybe it's useful.Just store in my blog for my reference.
The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the bottom of your foot, if you massage these points you will find relief from aches and pains as you can see the organs are on right and left foot, the heart is on the left foot.
This time, it put organs on the feet as they are. Typically they are shown as points and arrows to show which organ it connects to.
It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here.
This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies or textbooks.
God created our body so well that he thought of even this. He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.
So, keep walking...

Moral Story
The story goes like this..
A man feared his wife wasn't hearing as well as she used to and he thought she might need a hearing aid. Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family Doctor to discuss the problem. The Doctor told him there is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the Doctor a better idea about her hearing loss.
"Here's what you do," said the Doctor, "stand about 40 feet away from her,
and in a normal conversational speaking tone, see if she hears you. If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response."
That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and he was in the den. He says to himself, "I'm about 40 feet away, let's see what happens."
Then in a normal tone he asks, "Honey, what's for dinner?"
No response.
So the husband moves to closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats, "Honey, what's for dinner?"
Still no response.
Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his wife and asks, "Honey, what's for dinner?"
Again he gets no response so;
He walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away. "Honey, what's for dinner?"
Again there is no response.
So he walks right up behind her. "Honey, what's for dinner?"
"James, for the FIFTH time I've said, CHICKEN!"
Moral of the story:
The problem may not be with the other one as we always think - could be
very much within us..!
SO don't always blame others for the things that you may lack.

Mens rules
Please note... these are all numbered "1" ON PURPOSE!
Breasts are for looking at and that is why we do it. Don't try to change that
Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
Saturday = sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be. Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think of it that way
Crying is blackmail
Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
JUST SAY IT!
‘Yes’ and ‘No’ are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question
If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us & You have enough clothes & too many shoes
When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine, Really
If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one
You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done
Not both
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself
Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials
If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that
If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle
Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as:
Sex,
Sport, or
Cars

JUST SAY IT!

Finally, i've got my S'pore driving license. They will send the photo driving licence within a month's time. I was given the temp slip which i can drive with it. Hell of a process but just glad it was finally done and over.
Now, left with two outstandings:

If successfully processed. i can collect within the next 10 days.
(2) renew re-entry permit in new passport
After i've got my passport, have to make a trip to Renew the re-entry permit.
Tmw lights installation. Will take new photos of my new home. Most of the things are done.
I have took 2 hours nap today. Shiok. I dun have the habit to take nap but today too tired cos yesterday night i drink coffee and ended up cant sleep, stay widely awake till 2am. Today got up early to do the licence conversion.
So today's nap is to catch up my yest sleepssss..

LicenCing !!!
This is how i spent my 1 week holidays. I felt even tired than go to work.
Monday supposed to get the conversion letter from JPJ. Yong drove us to JPJ. But, i dun have my M'sia IC cos the MHC took my IC for the Marriage cert. so begging the officer to let me thru with my international passport. After explaing to few officer, finally they said ok. BUT Guess what, i found out i lost my Driving licence. The one with picture gone missing !!! the one with the extension still there. But i cant proceed without the picture licence. The office was suggesting me to re-do the licence on the spot with fine RM20. But Im just cant believe i've lost my picture licence !! the night before i still took it out and put it in my wallet compartment for today. so, i decided to go home n search one round.
Bad luck indeed. i cant find it. mum said must report police. make me worried what will people do if they pick up my licence. maybe they change my picture to use it ? maybe they rob some bank n drop my licence on the scene ? or murder someone and drop my licence on the spot ?? all kind of imagination.
But then, busy with renovation. Tuesday burnt with the house reno stuff. Glad to see my cabinets all buiding up.
Wednesday, had lunch with JL then i went to collect marriage certs at MHC. finally got back my m'sia IC. and get appointment number to renew my international passport. the date is 7th July (friday) i took leave on 3rd July(Monday) since 2nd july taking pictures, tot maybe tired. but since the appointment date is friday. so i sms boss asked him to switch my leave date. luckily he agreed. so i shall forgo the monday leave n take it on friday to renew passport instead. The renew charges is $130 .. mm.. m'sia is Rm300. but the waiting time is 10 days in s'pore. msia side, my mum said can get the passport in 1 day.
After that, went to change the lights at Bugis. then went gym.
so, thursday (today), decided to settle my licence in johor. Morning went down to Johor. Somehow, i tot of going bck to meleka. But after some tots, i guess it will take much longer time to go home than settle in johor. So, i dropped by the nearby police station to find out if i have to make a report for my lost licence.
The police officer said no need, just go direct to JPJ to make new one.
so i got on a cab that happened to passed by the police station. Malay uncle. he charged me RM13 for the trip. So we sort of have some conversation on my mishap. After talking awhile, we started talking abt m'sia-S'pore people behaviour. He got so worked-up when he told me his experience with some s'poreans. said they r arrogant n no respect to people's country as they come to johor n said m'sia no standard .. blahh.. i was like.. err.. ok.. dun have to be so angry. cos in many ways, m;sia really lack of this little something. At least my journey felt short as we are engaged in conversation.
Managed to get my new license and the conversion letter in about 11/2 hours time (of course, most of it are waiting time). But, what a relief that at least i've gotten my new licence. Jumped into the cab waiting outside JPJ. he wanted Rm14. i told him Rm13. n he said ok. indian uncle. we din talk much. Just short one. Also about S'pore n m'sia stuff. but he seemed more open minded and not conservative abt the changes in msia.
Wonder why the cab driver all can know im from s'pore. i tried my best to speak malay with them. still they know im going city square. the Indian uncle knows where im going even before i told him.
Back to s'pore before noon. went direct to Bt Gombak to convert licence. GUESS WHAT the lady said need documents/old passport to prove that i was a student at the time i obtained my driving licence !!! I was like "HUH??' Is this one of the required document ? it is not stated in ur conversion form ?? how do you expect me to produce anything at that very moment ? old passport ? who keep old pssport anyway ? so she said produce school certificates !! damn. I was so angry. cos i queued for nearly 45 minutes and i cant do it. i have to come back another trip. I wanted to speak to her supervisor. but she said 2pm. I was too hungry to wait till 2pm.i haven eaten my lunch !! darn so have to come back tmw.
So pray hard tmw i can have my conversion done. smoothly.

so, thursday (today), decided to settle my licence in johor.
So pray hard tmw i can have my conversion done. smoothly.

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?
A friend send me this article. I find it rather meaningful
DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?
EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with
your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked
their idiosyncrasies.
Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a
completely natural and spontaneous experience.
You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in
love... Because it's happening TO YOU.
People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the
imagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing
there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.
Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But
after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the
natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls
become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when
it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute,
drive you nuts.
The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you
think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between
the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry
subsequent stage.
At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry
the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of
the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with
someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their
spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for
fulfillment.
Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is
the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a
friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this
dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not
saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could.
And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a
few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):
THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S
LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.
SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER
just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it
day in and day out. That's why we have the expression "the labor of
love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly,
it takes WISDOM.
You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.
Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific
things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your
marriage.
Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there
are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise
program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your
relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and
effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable...
you can "make" love.
Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling.

VerY tired.. still coughing.. i really admire the energy i have, i can still go gym, shopping, deciding on house renovation details n all..pheww..
Recently, been eying at my contractor's nail..she is a very fashionable lady, a young mother of two but she looks like any other young ladies out there.. she likes to paint her nails and changes the pattern every time we meet her..
It happened that last week, some ad-hoc stalls setup at Tampines mall selling the nails/manicure stuff attacted my attention during my weekend working day lunch time, i've got my self 3 sets of nails stickers..and the outcome... (taken by my K700i, not so clear..)

i guess with a bit more of practises, i'll be good.. heee.. Jen is trying out using the nail colours pen.. but a bit hard to do it on right hand since we r right handed..neeway, fun stuff to play with..

My AUnT.. SweEt..
Reminded by my 9th aunt to send my ROM pics to my other aunties who are now in overseas.
So far, only 2 of my aunts that im keeping in touch (via email most of the time)
(1) 9th aunt (beh kor aka youngest aunt)
location: Johor going to Melaka after she built her house there
she is the one supported me through my years in University.Always so warmth and helpful to all her friends.Very ang mo style.
After staying with her n my uncle (swedish), i've decided not to have ang mo bf (I used to fancy having a ang mo bf cos their physical features attracts me)
But im really not so fond of their style of talking/doing thing.. jst not my style..
I still prefer chinese, who know my culture, my customs and speak some singlish.. heee
(2) 6h Aunty (aunty KT)
location: London
She was scholar, studied in London and married there. Warmth lady as well but so far i only met her less than 3 times. I almost went over to study for A levels, mum objected.
I always wonder how will i turn out to be if i were to further my studies in London ?? maybe im a lawyer now ? cos all my cousins who went over to further their studies ended up becoming lawyer..
Neeway, sometimes, life is meant to be this way, fated not there means not there, so here i am.. contented and satisfied.
Little note from aunty KT which i find it sweet to keep in my blog :)

How lovely!!! I spent a good hour looking at those photos. LeeHuei, you
looked absolutely stunning!! Your dress is beautiful and of course,
happiness does add to one's beauty. Your mother and sister looked happy in
there too. Last, but most important, is of course your husband. He looks a
very happy man who has married the right and good girl. His face shows him
to be happy. Congratulations to you both and thank you for thinking of us
and of sharing your lovely photos with us. I forwarded them to your other
cousins....Kah Ling, (2nd auntie's daughter) and my sons, Martin, Min and
Paul. I'll also forward them to Chee Ying (2nd uncle's (Poh Chye) daughter.
Hope they, in turn will forward to others. Hope to see you in June. Cheers
and take care,
love, Auntie K.T.
*PS* chee ying is my cousin whom i only remembered her look more than 20 years back during her mum's funeral. she is my brother's age, wonder how is she.

So muCh to Register
Jen informed that after getting married in S'pore with s'pore spouse, as m'sian i still have to announce the marriage to the high commission of m'sia. likewise, if u n spouse (both m'sian) n got married in m'sia, you need to announce ur marriage in ROM if u both intended to continue stayin n working in S'pore..
The reason to register to M'sia side for my case if to prevent any troubles from m'sia side if next time, given the scenario, u want to bring ur child to hometown for a longer period or similar cases. and as Jen only found out abt this 1 year later, she was fined. so she advised me to settle this at the high commission before the 1 year period. anyway, the process just costs rm20 bucks but the trouble is to sacrifice a day off to submit this n that , fill this n that forms..and sign by both husband n wife.
so, i planned to clear my marriage week (1 week, must be cleared within 3 months after ROM) in June to do all these:
(1) register the marriage to M'sia side which can be done at high commission of
m'sia in m'sia side.
(2) go down to JPJ with Yong to get the letter to convert to s'pore license..
(3) renew passport, expiring in Nov
So lazy to online at home these days, wanna rest my eyes more.. see too much of pc screen in work.. going blind...
