Kite flying Sunday

Sunday we went kite flying again.. haaa.. it actually drizzle but it stopped after we are done with our marketing. and the beeze is just right for kite flying. This round, our Batman kite finally get to fly.. Missy is so excited that she keep screaming and asking us to let her hold the string..



My handphone cant seem to catch good photos though, all appeared so dark. it was evening coming to 7pm.. i get to walk around too, sort of exercising.

Our Batman kite's frame fall out at the end, so LGG got to fix it again. So, we shall return next week

Jacob Ballas Fun

Today we went to JBCG again, our third visit.Missy is older now to understand and appreciate most of the things in JBCG like the plants/spices in the garden.

This time, missy sit on the slide all by herself, first time, her expression is a bit "nervous" but second time, she is enjoying it.. haaa



This time, we spend some time at the sand play area, missy is digging and digging .. soft sand.



Of course, we end our JBCG day out with water playing.. just nice to wash away all the sand from her.. which not much pictures were taken cos im playing with her and LGG's camera ran out of battery.

After the play and wash up, we had our small picnic at the park, today no black swan, wonder where they've gone to. We had my homemade sandwiches and fruits, then we stroll awhile in the park and head home. Missy doze of in the car after her feed of milk. heee..

Another fun day at JBCG for missy. hopefully next time we can bring her didi along..tt'll be next year at least september..

Pre-natal exercise-Swimming

In order not to repeat my previous prenancy "extreme" weigh gain, i gained 17kg altogether and still left with 3kg after that.i decided to do some low impact exercise. I wanted to do prenatal yoga initially, but im thking sometimes i do yoga will cause me to have backache, what happen if i feel worst if i do it now. so better not take the risk.

so, i turn to swimming. mm.. not bad. i swam last week, i feel really good. i can swim 6 laps and more. but i control myself. Then this week, i went again, i swim 10laps altogether. After the swim, i feel my weight is slightly shifted to my tummy.. as in maybe i swim breaststroke, so after 10 laps..i feel a bit of back strain.

I guess i should alternate with breaststroke and floating next week. but i dun have any backache after that. feel so good after the swim actually.

Gynae said ok to swim, but make sure dun swim alone. haaa. i have gained 5kg now at 21 weeks pregnant. i think this is not so bad. shall keep it up !

bb is now 546g compare to 336g 2 weeks back. tt's fast

Kite flying weekend

Last week, after our marketing from NTUC, we osrt of being tempted by all the kite flying activities opposite the buangkok open fields. so we thought, hey, we can bring missy for some kite flying next weekend, it's an open field, where she can runs abour safely, windy and not hot.

So, we did it today. but that batman kite LGG brought, cant seem to fly at all. gees.. but this is not borthering missy at all, she enjoys her running, playing with other toddlers and see bubbles.. it's basically a kid's playground with adults..




and still i cant believe that batman kite cant fly .. lousy batman.. i suggested LGG to bring the butterfly kite actually, but old kites liao.. so expected la.

Missy been at home with her grandpa for 4 days, next week we r going back to school as the HFMD seems to subside now.. so finger cross,missy can spend whole 5 days healthily there..

Splash Splosh time

We went to Sengkang swimming complex again last week and after swimming, it rained again. each time we go, after we are done, it will rain. weird.

This round, missy is not interested with swimming or getting into the water, she prefers to run around the swimming pool, one by one.. there are altogether 5 pools, including one indoor pool. she has great time still. as she sleeps right after her milk after we reached home.




next week, we shall plan for some outing too. maybe to Zoo ? or JBCG again.

Read a book

We have been reading to missy before her bedtime for some time. This has become a habit. Usually, her daddy will read to her. recently, daddy reads quite many nights if "Hansel & Gretel" partly cos missy demanded for this book. So, just one fine day, after her school, and bathing, and dinner. we sit at our sofa, and she dig out her Hansel and Gretel book again. she knows the book well by its cover. and she asks me to read to her. instead, i ask her to read it herself. so this is how the video came about.



From her reading, i can see that she can remember the key words in each page. like Hansel and Gretel, Woodcutter, get-up Hansel, Get-up Gretel, go into the wood, mama will come, ok (this is her own line) "hansel and gretel were left in the wood", Go home, the rest is a bit blur, but she is following the story.

maybe i should try to video her when she is rading "Let's go for a bear hunt" her expression at the page "it's a BEAR" is so funny. really look shock. haaa.

New skill -Cutting

I have introduced colouring.. scribbling..playdough (just got one set from toysrus).. then our phonics.. she now can tell me the sound of letters in alphabets.. pick up from leap frog letter factory.. but still mixing up letters sometimes.. On her birthday, she did not go to school cos of the HFMD. so i stayed home with her, and let her try cutting for the very first time, hey, this little hand is not bad, she can cut.. and you know what, i was shocked that , she cut one patch of her fringe when i was away to take something, returned and found her hair all dropping on my laptop. she climbs onto my working desk, and manage to find the scissors im trying to hide away, Lucky thing, she did not cut other part of her body. so really must be careful with these.



she is so interested in cutting.. so i managed to get her engaged for awhile, but with close supervision. now, all scissors are hidden away from her.


besides cutting, we play dough, which is also under close supervision, eventhouigh playdough is made of Wheat and safe. but i dun feel comfortable if she put into her mouth. yeak. with dough, she still cut cut cut..

Montessori - shoes wearing skill

Missy can now wear her own shoes, even those with straps. but sometimes she still wear them on the wrong side. we find it amusing, so video it down.taken on 27th Sept 09.

the father is reminding her of the wrong side of the shoes, but missy just so engrossed in her shoes wearing and ignore the father.. haaa



This is another video where she wears it correctly. and i guess, she knew she got it right this time and jumping excitedly.

Missy new hair style

When missy is not feeling well in September, we reduce the times we bath her, just wiping and no showering. Her long hair is a bit messy.

so, LGG and i decided to cut missy's hair short. LGG just use her normal paper cutting scissors and "ka-cha" shorten my missy's hair to "mushroom" style.. which, we can find many missy's classmates having the same hair style.. so i guess, all home-made la.. heee

she looks so funny but after awhile, we get used to her new look.

HFMD

Missy been out from school for nearly two weeks in September, due to her flu and school with 6 cases of HFMD. so, we parents paid one whole month of school fees, but child have to stay at home half of the time.

OCtober.. today. 12 oct. school announced 5 more cases of new HFMD . most of them from the toddler class, meaning little missy's classmates. so we decided to protect little missy from the spread. got to keep her at home with grandpa and maid again. sigh.

going to childcare is even more dramatic.. almost every two days one new events.. first month (August) missy hates her school then just when she started to love her school and teachers, she starts to get sick.. then just when she gets well, HFMD cases.. i wonder when then we can really enjoy childcare. sigh.

so, finger cross, missy does not catch the virus from her classmates and will be healthy for the rest of the week till we return to cc , after the cases subsided.

Flu..Fever...Bugss

Missy had fever last Thursday early morning. We rushed down to KK, given flu medicine and she is ok but fever still persistent, so Sat we drop by SK Polyclinic, given flu medicine and she is all ok , no fever, but still have running nose and cough+phlegm till today.

Sent her to childcare like usual, she is happy and cheerful in the morning. But, teacher calledup at 10 plus, saying her temp is 38deg Cels. OMG why ?why ? why ? got me worried and i rushed down in cab to pick her up, she is normal, no crying, just body warm warm. We again rushed down to KK. tested urine, normal. so UTI ruled out. doc said they do not test for H1N1 for children anymore. she checked her throat, said it's red and slight inflame. fever may last till 5days.so we were given 5 days mc. given antibiotics too.headache. how to get missy to swallow the antibiotics ??

so, home again, get her to take the flu medicine, no prob. but expected the funny taste in the antibiotics is not missy's liking. rejected. sigh. got to thk of a way to get her take it.

so, i've been off from work since. how to work like tat ? sigh. why so many bugs around. i now feel sick too. sigh.

Gym ?!?

today i joined Jen to gym.. first time after like 2 months plus..heee.. good feeling of course. i have decided to go more or even go swimming instead.

Love to exercise. but my workout level is not like last time. I cycled at level 1 for 20 minutes already tire me out. phewww.. i feel my thigh is getting bigger and will start to rub at each other when i wear dress. OMG.. im just 4 months pregnant. What's up man !

cols all said i dun look pregnant yet. but i keep insisting my tummy is much bigger now compare ti my last pregnancy. I have another Phil col who also same months preggy as me.. oh well. her tummy looks like she is already 6 months preggy. tt's why i have not argu abt my enlarging tummy anymore.. heee..

after a good lunch.. now resting for awhile before doing work.. + forum + stocks.. muaaha..

Baking: Butter cake

Yesterday i try to use up the butter which is going to expire soon. cant think of anything to do, flip through my old recipe book, and woala.. found Butter cake.simple and can utilise my butter.

So, we had butter cake for breakfast today. heee.. nice. i like it. LGG said nice too. fluffy. even missy has ber big biteful too.

Butter Cake

牛油 : 250g (切小块)
(butter)

糖 : 225g - i reduced to 180g, still sweet. next time reduece to 160g. too blend is not nice too
(castor sugar)

全蛋 : 4粒
(egg)

自发粉 : 250g (过筛) -- i run out of self-raising flour so i mix half self-raising flour and half plain flour + 2g baking powder
(self-raising flour)

鲜奶 : 75g
(milk)

香精 : ¼ tsp
(vanilla oil)

Method:
1. Pre-heat oven at 180°C
2. Put butter & castor sugar into a mixing bowl, use low speed to mix
until even, change to medium speed and beat until light
3. Add in the first egg, beat will after each addition of egg until creamy
4. Scrape down the sides and bottom for even mixing
5. Add in vanilla oil and mix well
6. add in self-raising flour gradually using lowest speed. Scrape down
sides for even mixing
7. Finally, add milk, mix until well combined
8. Pour into a 22cm lined baking tin
9. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes until golden
brown and cook. Remove from oven and leave to cool

My new gadget - W595

peach pink. muahaha.. first time im using pink phone. so girlie right? i think my maternal instinct somehow affects my colour judgement and now i link colours tt's girlie.. partly cos of my missy.. just look at her wardrobe.. im impressed by my purchase sometimes.. so pinky and girlie..

Missy goes to school

last month, whenever i ask her, " we go to school ?" she will start crying and keep saying " Dun want school " we basically cannot even mention the word school when talking to her.. tt'll trigger her tear buds..

But, now, when she refuse to get up from bed in the morning after 7am. i will tell her " you want to go to school ?" she will replied " i want go to school" and i will tell her " then u have to get up and brush your teeth " she will obligingly, follow me to toilet to clean up and change and get ready to school.

last month, whenever we are outside of her school she will cry and refuse to get in.

Now, she will smile and happily waiting for me to unbucker her and let her climb down from her pram to walk into her school. I will give her "bonus" by letting her press the door bell. hee..

last time, she refused to let teacher to check her temperature and mouth before entering class.

Now, she let teacher take her temperature and open her mouth happily for teacher to check. she even gives free hugs to teacher and teacher said she is a cheerful girl.

Tt's how my missy adapt herself in a new environment. cute cute. she will greet me "zao an" in the morning when i greet her 'good morning" not bad huh.

Little Missy 2nd Birthday

We have celebrated missy's 2nd birthday at home last Saturday. This round, again, we have our home-cooked food, with sushi, chinese cuisines, my all-time favourite salad and egg tarts and of course, missy's minnie Swenson's ice cream cake. Yum yum. Missy welcome her birthday by singing her Happy birthday songs she picks up from school. she even sings her ABC songs and LGG videod it down. cute. she now still tell me "Happy birthday, blow candles" how she has developed her linguistic skills compare to last year, when she just picked up her walking. time fliesss. My girl is turning two already. Missy now enjoy her childcare, she will climb onto her pram happily in the morning and sometimes sing on the way to her school. and happily walk into her school after hugs and kiss to me. great improvement. The teachers are right. children can adapt after 1 month and tt's exactly what happen. Loads of photos taken for missy but my home Pc cant seem to load the photos. so got to find out the reason first. Sigh. Happy Birthday my little Missy ! Number two

so far, i feel this one may bit a fussy pot for sure. things i eat will have funny reaction sometimes. Sunday i cooked spaghetty and while eating i suddenly feel like vomiting.. and i have to eat slowly and after finishing i still feel like vomiting.

i noticed my appetite has improved a lot but selective food will have such reaction. Last time , this did not happen. and i still have slight morning sickness during morning and evening especially during brushing teeth time. always will trigger puking.

went for my NT scna to detect possibility for DS in August. Percentage is low. so no need to do further test. Finger cross.

Went for Gynae scan this month, cant see bb's gender yet. oh well. im not so curious actually. so long my pregnancy journey is enjoyable and smooth.boy or girl still my child.

so, next appt will be end of this month and then will go for detailed scan in October..all nicely scheduled.

i really think i will just stop at two. no more. i have experienced birth giving, being a mother, being a wife. im very contented le. Second prenancy is to ensure missy has a sibling as company. so, tt's in the pipeline now. tt's all i will "contribute" to my family plan.

After that, im gonna concentrate on bringing my children up. and of course at the same time, enjoy my life. lalalal.. well.. all within my plan that i have sort of drafted years back. family focus (married, giving birth) before 35 yo. after that i shall concentrate on my career or hobby and self-grooming.

For better For Worst

well.. almost one month away from my last post.. lots of things happen of course. but this round, i must say more good thing than bad la.

Mum went for her 6-8 hours operations on 20th August. Doctor said, it was a successful surgery, the tumour was removed, Mum's vision will recover. She still feel very blur on her left eye, but at least she can see image. She can talk after she is out from operation, how amazing is that. Technology really is something. She is out from hospital barely a week and stiches were removed last week. she is nw recuperating at sis's home. She is still weak, but we can see and hear her voice getting stronger each day. What an experience ! lucky thing mum is always fit, thus, she can go through this with less trouble. This make me more determine to exercise and stay healthy as much as i could.

Then, my little cutey missy going to school on 3rd August. she is enjoying herself for the first 3 half days, as her grandpa is with her all along. The forth and fifth days, where she is left all by herself in the childcare, she is not happy anymore, she cried so much, till her voice went coarse..my heart ach so much to see her after she is home to me,(she is sent to her her grandparents place while i get well from H1N1).. i then take over for the rest of the weeks to bring her to scholl each morning, from crying whenever i left to today carry her bag happily and say bye bye to me and walk into her school.. she is really growing up by that little bit.

she can recite her number one to ten.. yes. she really did. that happened when she is abt 21 months old. she can sing happy birthday to you, "liang ji lao hu", "ni wa wa", "twinkle little stars" say quite a number of mandarine after abt 1 month to the childcare. not bad huh !

My little darling is getting used to her teachers and friends. we are going to have school outing next week.

then.. talk abt my new maid. Oh well.. my luck is not that good yet.. i've hired a mad maid. she scream at night when she sleeps.. she dun understand a thing i tell her abt housework, she scared when she washing machine is running, she even rush out of my home and go to ask for help from neighbour when someone call my home.. i really dunno what to say, but to send her back to agent. she is just with us for 1 week plus. gila one. so now, got to wait for next maid. Finger cross, this will last longer la. hate to have maid. but i even hate housework now.

and.. my baby is now 14 weeks old. cant tell whether a boy/girl yet. but i really think this round is much difficult than last time, partly cos i need to look after missy. and so mcuh things happen la. i feel very tired and get flu easily. just had sore throat. sigh. when can i feel better ?? coming to 2nd trimester already. baby be good. let mummy enjoy this pregnancy k

And next thing i have to do is to plan what to do with missy's 2nd birthday. haven even book cake. sigh. we shall celebrate this sat cos in laws going perth soon.

Till then, hopefully more good things to come. oh share market really a good things recently.. heee.. i guess whovere into it will smile.. even laugh.. im smiling too.

Road to recovery

I think im getting better now..no more flu and back to work since wednesday. I was told im the third case in my company actually. the first two are from trader's team.

well..somehow, i feel i can breath more smoothly now compare to short breath for the past week. I keep feeling like my lung cant take in enough air.. i need to breath few times to get in enough air and i feel like i may get ashma like that.. but seems like the condition is recovering now..

oh well..i feel better on the whole..which is good thing. morning sickness still haunting me but lesser not as bad as before.. im now 10 weeks preggy.

Maid is coming this weekend, either today evening or tmw. Missy is coming home tmw morning. i hope my life will be back to normal prety soon. Just hoping..

It feels so good when im able to eat now..still not 100% like last time.. but at least i dun feel hungry that often when there are food in my stomach.

wish me luck.. things will get better..

H1N1 positive

well..i think buy 4D also wont be so "lucky".. im down with H1N1 postive since Tuesday and now being quarantin at home till end of this week.. so people is asking me.. so how's ur girl ? how's ur bb ? etc etc..

well.. missy has been staying with in laws since.. been missing her like mad.. mum is staying at sis's place since.. and i have no idea what will happen to my unborn child.. it's really beyond my control and my power and my ability to know what is going to happen and what will happen..

Im the fist in my company being contracted with h1N1.. and im famous in a day's time with boss's emails out to all with my name and all.. now who wnt know me in spore branch... i wonder.. people even call up my cols to ask how abt my bb and all...col said i can go back and write book liao..

Im wondering.. What's NEXT ? im all for it now.. what can be worst than what's i've been through in just a month's time ???

Life sucks ? it does.. first time in 32 years since i was born.. i really understand and FELT it deeply.. how life sucks... and i may be here today.. and gone to never land tmw .. who knows..

oh well.. i guess..as a buddhist.. i think i must have done something really bad in my past life that cause me to deserve all these... ok. i accept that. shall do more good this life so that next life i want to be a good breed dog that's being pampered and cared. just wag tail, bark and sleep and act cute. isnt't it good?

LGG is being quarntin at home too..now he is out to get me food. so i jst laze around..been detoxing the house with dettol and everythin..really find life is meaninless without missy around. so much time with nothing to do.. sigh.i want her back so badly !!

life can make someone so optimistic like myself to be looking more at the "negative" aspect of life.. wonder !

Depression will i ?

Life has been a torture lately.. with so many things happen at the same time..

i have been neglecting my little missy for nearly 2 weeks now.. no more flash cards.. no more creative activities.. no more new games.. she basically just play on her own or mum or LGG entertain her.. i feel VERY VERY guilty abt it.. but i cant help it.. im just not in the right self to be active like i used to..

i forgot how it feel last time.. but this time, i really felt it bad..i cant seem to swallow my food down each night. takeing so much effort to keep the food and everything.

Then, came the news mum has tumour in the head.. we thought cataract. never knew it's tumour.. so.. busy busy busy see doc.. check this and that .. second opinion.. we finally decided to go for the operation in August. finger cross. eveything goes well. It's benign tumour but too big tha it press on mum's optic nerves causing her not able to see one side.

Then, my project is delaying delaying delaying.. finally it will be started.. and at this time.. sigh.. so many coordination to do.. simply puke blood. but i have to thank my boss again for being so supportive over my personal affair and work.. i owe him too much really !

then, i must also thank my LGG for supporting me till now.. i wonder how long can i go on.. maybe fainted on the street due to not enough food ? i feel so pale now..sob.. without LGG, i think i surely cant hold this long..

and also, we have got to make few changes in life now. little misst got to go to child care.. cos after operation, mum has to rest. so cant bear to let go.. but no choice. we shall see how she cope. she is a brave girl i know. then i've got to get a new maid.. dreadful ! but no choice.. else i really dun have energy to do anything at home now..

so... hopefully my next post will be "Im all back to my normal self"

Toilet Train progress

after weekend toilet train, which include some scolding and stern warning and some beating on the back side.. missy finally know.. shsh must go where ? "Toilet". mm mm must go where ? "toilet"..

phew.. not easy at all. got to be very serious with her. else she thought we are playing games with her.. she still pee anywhere.. but at least with reminder and "enforcement" she will walk to toilet, kneel down and pee.. sigh.. and the best part is, yesterday before her nap, she told me... mm mm .. bao bao.. means she needs to poo and wants me to bao her uo from her cot.. and really she poo in the toilet.. haaa.. good job !

got to continue training my missy.. hopefully in few months time she will be complete toilet train..im not putting too much hope though.. just wish.

Weekday Activities- 1st week of July

Half year gone..fast. neeway, missy is growing very fast too. she now talk in 2 sentence words. she will say bird sleeping.. mummy eat.. papa get up.. popo shishi(when mum in toilet) etc etc. i really lost count of how many words she can say..

This week, we revisit the matching game which missy is not interested last time,. this time round, i just showed her once and she got the hint of how to play. i gave her only one board with "fruits" to match. she did it all by herself and surprised me by getting all correct.. i somehow tot.. mm.. by chance la.. ask her do again.. she is very cooperative and did it once more all correct.

but, today when i change the topic to attire /clothing, she is not so intersted now.. maybe we will revisit this game.

I let her do it on her own, she is interested.


after she is done, i checked, wowo.. all correct, my little smarty. the orientation of the picture may not correct but the fruits matches the shadow. Great effort my missy ! at 21 months it's a good achievement. somehow i think could it be Shichida method ? whatever it is, i m glad to see such result.




Then, we wont miss our arts session. this round, i jst lay the mahjong paper on floor and let her play with the water colours.. she need not wait for my instruction and just splash.. brushh.. sqeeze.. splatter.. so concentrating.. until i have to tell her.. ok.. time to go to bath...

next round, we shall play with crayons and water colour.. great combination..

Swim Swan Swim

today finally i got my butt up and go to swim. after the flu session, been halting my exercise for 2 weeks. skipped two times yoga cos every friday got things on, one friday missy sick.. one friday bring mum see eye doc.

so today i swim ! so happy. swim that 10 laps. try not to over-do. well. i feel good after the light exercise. eat one whole bug package of mix rice.

now nua-ing in office...i love my life !

yesterday manage to complete the whole new 20 topics of flash cards for missy , this round i include some japanese & tongue twister. hope missy like it.

got to start my linking memeory .. this sunday we are back to class again. so fast one week break (one day actually). life back to normal i guess.

Happy exercising

Stock Up !

I like to stock up ! i buy more during offers. that explains why i can spent $800 plus just for milk powder last month.

I stock up milk powder. i stock up diapers. i stock up mill bottle (not actually stock up, i buy new ones every 6 motnhs, so i've got many old bottles dunno what to do with them ).

We have been drinking Similac since.. then now GAin IQ 91 year above0, it used to be below $50 per 1.8kg tin, but now, it went up again to $52/tim. SO when the offer of $50+ per tin came, i quickly buy more to stock up. my cabinet full with missy's milk powder. heee..she loves her milk more than her rice. so no choice. This is by far the most expensive milk power in spore and the most popular milk powder in spore !



As for diaper, i tried out few brands, pamper, huggies, dypers, drypants. well, i think so far i only bought the few brands which i trusted. after missy turns one, i compeledly switch to huggies ultra. which it is clinically proven to help prevent diaper rash. Missy never has serious diaper rash before, but i feel safer to use trusted brand and of course, dearer. i started to buy pull up too. Huggies always give little tikes toys when you buy lots. and so far, i've got one toy for free and i can collect two more. got to find time to go and collect.



Lastly, milk bottles. well, due to the BPA thing, i always change bottles, every 6 months. now they have the BPA-Free bottles, which costs double from normal AVENT bottles. got to get from BP (Bulk Purchase) which is so much cheaper. For now, i never sterilise missy's bottle anymore, stop doing that after she is one. we just wash with bottles accessories cleaner which canbe used to wash fruits/vegetables.

I bought the Munchie Water bottle which ic BPA Free for missy. Got it at a steal price too during Isetan Offer. i think 9 plus. Now, everywhere i see is 12 plus. heee..good grab cos ofthe design and non-spill. another good and recommended product !

Missy weekday activity

Mummy been busy. missy's activities have been more to Free & Easy this week. but we still manage to do our flash cards daily. I just completed the new set of 200 new cards for July. Phew.Lucky make it in time.

Mum may need to go for cataract ops soon. so i guess i got to take long leave. my project will start in July. dunno how la. all the wrong timing. but life is always unpredictable. Else, it'll be boring right !

Missy is able to put in the shapes onto the picture. but, she is not good with triangle yet. always turn wrong side *Grin*

Avocado ?

i like to eat avocado, when it's dining out. but each time when i bought avocado, it took so long to ripe and tasted funny.. not as creamy as it tastes when eat in reastaurant. so this time, it'll be the last time i buy !

what to do with avocado ? well.. salad for me. healhy choice. and i cook some salmon pasta to go with it !

Say Cheese *O*

Bakerzin is having cheese cake half price for he month of June, supposingly to celebrate Father's day. Last month, it was chocolate cake, but i missed it. well.. i only heard bakerzin is famous for their cheese cake not chocolate cake, so, i wasn't that tempted i guess.

so, grab two pieces last week.. it simply melt my heart together with the cheese cake. sosoosososos delicious.. thick creamy cheese that tasted like ice cream .. the top layer which has a bit of lemon scent blend well with the cheese taste. yumyyyyyyyyy.. words cant described. LGG loves it too. Mum said "Good" haaa..

a must try and thumb up ! Simply cannot miss with such offer. I paid one price for two cake.

Anticipating

i feel blessed. feel happy. feel so looking forward to it. eventhough my flu still on.

Gosh.. i still have loads of things to do.. give me more time.. more energy !

PC Show June09

PC show never lack of visitors, this roudn broke last year records again. sary. what recession are you talking about ??

Well, i seldom want to go PC show, unless i have things to buy. this round, i wanted an external hdd. so, LGG and i went down last Sat.

We finally decided on Western Digital external HDD, i need to keep all the photos taken since missy was born. in case, my hdd crash on me..



ohh.. i was luck during the show, i get the chance to spin the wheel, and i got myself a free movie ticket.. heeee

Crocs ?!?

i never think crocs is nice. sosoos plastic and clumsy looking. No, even if it's free i will think twice to wear it. my sis and mum are wearing crocs..i never tempted to get myself a pair.. nehh..

but, recently, chanced upon a mummy's blog on crocs offer.. well.. maybe missy can have one, since it's slip-resistent. but i will not get those big big front with holes and strapped one the back.. sosos UGLY !!

So, i got missy this Kids Rally pinky ($42), covered all, he only type i can accept. and LGG wanted this velocity ($75)



The price was a steal. outside if you buy, it's 60 over for kids rally, velocity is 90 over..

then last week, we went expo, crocs on offer too.. mary jane only $25 instead of 40 plus. i think cos the model is obsoleted liao.. old model. sis they all gran their fare share there. well.. i got missy another pair, alice at $25 9purple), the size if much bigger, so she can only wear when she is 3-4 i think haaa.. it's like ballet shoes, covered all too. the only crocs pattern i could accept heee..

Here's missy's colelction of shoes, which the collette is what she is wearing now, almost worn out liao .. rally came just right time. the other pair with sound is way too small now. and the minnie sandal is same size as rally, still one size bigger than her feet, we kiasu, bought in melaka during offer. almost 1 year now, still cant wear ! haaaa




well.. again. mummy shops and nothing is for mummy..im waiting for my handbag.. lalallalalala

Weekdays Activities -2nd week of June

This week, we skipped one day of card flashing (mummy raise white flag to flu ), but, we still did a lot of scribbling..colouring.. i try to get her to connect two similar objects together with straight line *matching*.. she did more zigzag and circling now instead.



Some matching games for her.. to darw straight lines to connect two simialr items.. with lots of guidance from me of course.


She can match the ikea coloured plate/bowl/cutlery set by colours now.. she can say red, yellow, blue.. but she does not really know which colour is which yet..so i introduce one more game to missy. fishing !

self-made game. get fishes of primary colours, cute them out, paste them on cardboard, then clip a paper clip on them. use a wooden chopstick, stick on a magnet on the tip, which will be the fishing rod ! brilliant isn't it ? cost = zero. effort = lots of love...

Missy loves to take the fish out and in and out and in.. in all the wrong bowls.*sigh* but hey.. so long she enjoys it. im prety satisfied already. the concept of colours will coem eventually, as when she fish, i will keep telling her the correct bowl the fish should go !



we did few times of fishing this week, missy is getting expert in using her rod to fish *grin*



One last game for this week, yet, another simple hand-made game and good training for fine motor skill. print out a cat, then pasted on cardboard. ask your child use the clothe peg to make the cat's whiskers.. cool right !

missy still cant open up the cloth peg, it's a bit tight, so we shall revisit this game ! maybe i should print more like lion , animal with whiskers.. maybe use paper clip.. missy has no problem with paper clip !




okok.. enough updates on missy's weekly activities.. im still lagging on the linking memory games.. got to catch up and also prepare for July's 200 flash cards with new topics.. time's catching up and i feel like im sleazing like sloth.. oh mine !!

Sunday bonding time

Sunday, after nap, neighbour gave us the sculptured balloons, she gotten from a party, she purposely ask for these for missy, Elmo & octapus.. cool !

so missy and her dada are busy playing the balloons, i should say, missy is busy dismantling the balloons.. and the father is busy putting it back to shape..

so, after missy is tired of her destroying act.. she decided to take up mummy's offer of vitagen and sit there drinking while the father still busy saving the "animals"... haaa

missy is doing her homesheet while her daddy is helping her..

My cooking - Baked salmon

Last Sunday, i finally got the time to do the baked salmon, i picked up from Japanese cooking book.

Simple yet nice. usually, i will steam teh salmon with no sauce, just extra virgin olive oil only.cos i want to keep the salmon's original's taste. love it !

but, the recipe from this japanese book, seems good, it has lemon, and some red/yellow pepper and use aluminium foilf to keep the fish's sweetness. so i decided to try it, since i have the enoki mushrooms.

and it's proven ! the sweetness of the fish and the freshness of the lemon.. simply good combination !

I did it once more in wednesday ! simply love this cooking method. i still have prawn noodles & lemon cake to try.. give me more time !!

Finghting with Bugs

been very busy.. busy fighting with bug.. with flu bug.. sigh.. i always thought i'm sososo "healthy" i exercise at least twice weekly, eat home cooked food, sleep early. yet, still i cant escape from being "attacked" by that flu bug..

i still think it's the girl sitting beside us in our Sunday class , pass to me, for two Sundays, she always come to class sneesing and with stripes of mucus hanging on her nose.. and yet her parents seem so ignorant,i have to remind her mum or dad to "err.. she has this mucus hanging out from her nose" then the mum or dad (the dad cant calm her girl, so mum came in afterwards) will "ohh.. aiyoo.. you have flu" i was like ISN'T THAT OBVIOUS ?? She is sneeing all the way, and you still bring her to class.. so bad luck lor..

Past few weeks, i already dun feel like, the bloatedness, headache, exhasution then on Tuesday morning, my headache started., actually i have sore throat first. and i start to feel my nose is watery..see doc in the afternoon and get 1.5 days MC. heee.. tot yipeee.. i can plan things to do at home tmw. FLU CAN GET MC now.. muahahah.. last time i used to resist MC for flu. unless fever.

then, on tuesday night, my headache still persisted. getting worst instead. and i started to developed fever at night.. sore throat..really feel beaten ! lucky thing after one day of rest, im all ok, except for stuffed nose till now.

Missy is still ok then. just that her left eyes started to become watery intermittenly, symptoms for running nose le.. mum still said missy is "tougher" than her mummy.. never knew.. Friday morning she woke up around 6am and wanting me to carry her to my bed, when i carried her, i can feel her body is warm, oh no.. her body resistent gave up too to the flu bug.. she has fever !!!!

so, quickly take urgent leave from boss. and bring her to kkh to see doc. and lucky thing, after three doses of fever medicine and flu medicine, she seems much better. no fever now.. poor girl.. blame it all to the stupid flu !!

Now, im trying to toilet train missy and make sure she brushes her teeth on daily basis.

She just refuse to tell us when she needs to pee or poo. she can let her pants wet (in nappy) and happily doing her things, ignoring the wetness.. and she is able to walk as per normal even the poo is already in her nappy.. * dirty girl she is*

we have tried so many times to tell her.. MUST tell mummy and po po if you need to pee pee or poo ok ? " she will nod nod nod.. but.. the next 10 minutes, you check her nappy again, she is wet and she just pretend not knowing it.. and when we want to change her. she will run away from us.. sometimes i think she thinks it's a game.. we have to hit the jackpot and "ta daaa.. you are right, im peeing or pooing" but if you want to change me.. you have to catch me first.. *BIG SIGH*

I even tried the 5 minutes before she sleeps to remind her to tell when she needs to go.. but still no sign of improvement.. i shoudl said it deteriorate even. Last time she will at least tell once or twice.. now.. NEVER !!! maybe i should ger her to read the potty book again !!!

she is coming to 21 months in 2 weeks time.. still not toilet trained le.e.e.e Tell me what to do !!

Maybe we shoudln't let her wear nappy anymore.. she may be used to having the nappy there and is fine with the wetnes when she pees ?? got to discuss some strategy with mum !!


Another headache thing. Missy refuse to use toothpaste.. then eventually refuse to use toothbrush.. I bought her the first year toothpaste which is so good quality and high price some more.. i guess it'll gone to waste again..

maybe i should do more art work related to potty and toothbruhs ?? liek this ?

Weekday Activities - paste & colour

Today, we did our weekly worksheet by SM. I cut the snake into two, then missy do the pasting, which include applying the glue, then we colour the snake.

There are many things i wanted to do still, which i find myself too exhausted last week (stupid migrain attack). got to gear up and prepare some fun activities for missy.. introduce her things like heavy/light, Big/small (taught in class on Sunday) before i forget and lost track on these..

Some of the books we borrowed from library on sat, i like the itsy bitsy spider, but missy does not seem to enjoy the story.

Missy knows how to sing "xiao chu" & "twinkle little star" now, not the whole songs, but the first phase and all the last words. very very cute when she sings, shall video it next time.

This week we read some books on animals in zoo.

Missy and her purple dress

I almost forgotten abt the baby gap dress (hand-down) from missy's SF's cousin. i always think it's still too big for her.. never knew, that day when i take a look, it's all for 2 yo, and missy fit nicely into them now.. woahh..

and look how happy she is in her first purple dress.. cutey cutey.. she is basically dancing in her baby gap.. cant believe it ! it's so beautiful on her. it's like it's designed for her.. *nuts mummy*



we went Hougang on sat for some shopping and visit the library, they happen to have some children events..which we get some balloons (bracelet & magic wand ) for missy..
and missy is running around the library like her own home..*shake head* she even try to make friends with all the elder children..*super friendly*



I bought some Poney clothes for missy from Expo. I din't know Poney was branded in Msia. and also in Spore. there are many brands that are branded which i only know now haa.a. *sua ku*.. like carters (MIL bough 2 for missy from SF), oshkosh (missy has a few, hand down), baby gap ( quite a number from her SF's cousin, hand-down)

heee.. i feel children grow up pretty fast, so hand me down is the best ! especially for branded clothing, cos their quality is better, it will last longer, children will outgrow the clothes before you know it.

June Weekdays activities

We are entering mid of 2009 now.. phew.. what have i done so far ? mm. actually done a lot of things with missy.. hee..



We did some farm animals matching.. i show her a farm animal, she choose one among all farm animals which i prepared on ice-cream stick , choose the right one and tab on the picture i show her.. I must say, missy did a splendid good job here.. she can match all 100% correct !! really is showing me she is growing up now.. no more baby.. her eyes and hand coordination is very good now. we shall play more of these games with fruits and other subject.. preparation work is a lot cos i need to print the pictures then paste it on cardboard then paste the picture on ice-cream stick. but, seems like a fun way to learn new subjects besides flash cards

Then, we had a new toy, the little tikes piggie torch, it can make oink oink sound, i play these with missy by swithcing off lights and hide into the tent.. and see shadow.. she loves it.. and i use this to let her colout pig.. she is not so interested on that day..prefer to explore the piggy torch instead.



Then we had our stacking games again (revisit activities), she is not interested with stacking for some time, but i always leave these games (stacks, ring, cups, puzzles) in open area that she is accessible. she now can stack all the colours and shapes. i am very proud of her skill. sometimes i think children observes and they just one day do carry the thing and do it, shocking their parents..haaa.. i even video it for memory.




Today, we has our water colour for the very first time, with brush. I bought this from popular, faber-castell again, i prefer this brand cos it's washable. ELC ready to use colour is convenient but non-washable. that's the headache part. so, i just squeeze some on the plate and missy knows right away to use the brush and splatter on her easel ! haaa.. my little artist ! see how satisfied she is




Missy's masak masak now evolved to using real pot.. she demand for one.. so mum gave her one small one .. *shake head*.. the book she flip is the eric carle "slowly slowly slowly said the sloth" very colourful and she always recognise the snake..heee
