Missy's July

Missy has been sick on 4th of July.fevere for 3 days, then with ulcers in her mouth whcih alarmed us, thinking Oh no.. another round of hand foot mouth disease ?? lucky thing, this round, it wasn't. missy has i=an inflamed throat, maybe we thought due to her grandpap birthday celebration, she ate too much chocolate.

so, we let her stay at home for one week, mum and maid stay with her. her last fever was in April. so we somehow expect it to come. thankfully, she is ok after the home rest.

photos of missy in SM class, she is a cupid giving loves to the stress up people in the photos. one of the pretend play

We let missy cycle at our house area.. but that bicycle simply cant make it. got to get her a new one, this is more suitable for younger child. we use to push her around in this, but the stick had since broken. and she played some stick the flag on the map game (one of the montessori game i bought 2 years back)

one of the homework i did for missy for her sports day (KIC).. hee..

Dinner last night

Came across one recipe for salmon with breadcrumb + grated cheese +EVOL (Extra virgin olive Oil).. seem interesting. so i gave it a try..

the photo below, show the before and after..

i complete our dinner with steamed green peas & pumpkin soup..and spaghetty.

after-thought:
The recipe is ok, but the breadcrum and cheese on toop does not enhance the taste of the fish.maybe i shall rub the cheese all over the salmon ? haa.. shall try again.

Simply irresistible !

didi's grand aunt from SF bought this simply irresistible romper for didi which looks funny on him as it's dark blue and long sleeves.. maybe america cold, so they like to wear this type of romper.. but not really suitable for us here.. so, we let him wear as pyjamas.. haaa

didi now can stand on hit feet if we hold him up like in the photos.. i used to do that with missy last time, as acording to book i read, doing this help to strengthen their legs bones and they will be able to walk more steadily as they flex enough of their muscle next time.. hee.. so with him kicking and stepping on the ground, it's a good exercise.

some of didi's photos..he now start taking teether, as he bites anything and everything.. so to soothe his itchy gum, we got him this duckie teether from pigeon.

The siblings..

some photos of the two at home.. they enjoy being together but of course with supervision. cos didi will garb anything.. quite hard.. including pulling his jie jie's hair..face.. jie jie will hug/kiss didi too hard.. and she sometimes not so happy if we let didi hug her pillo.. she will snap it back..

i will always encourage her to show didi her love.. by saying didi loves u.. u see, didi smiles happily when u sing to him.. or when u read him story book.. and she will feel happy when he hear that and will say " i love didi" and sing happily to him.. i guess maybe she feels how come now, mummy will pay more attention to didi and give her things to didi.. haa.. she will slowly learn that didi is part of her family members that she will love and share things with..

and she always hear us telling her, be gentle to didi.. dun pull her hand too hard.. blahh.. she will then echoed it by saying, didi small small, must gently.. :)

My day in & day out

20th July 2010

I remembered recording my daily routine before didi was born. Now, my life is back to certain routine again, new routine and comfortable. Partly because mum is staying with us and she is sleeping with lil missy. So we are not so “busy”

So, morning I will go to work as usual, night, I take care of didi’s night feed, night poo, night cry. Missy is now sleeping through the night, diaper free. So it’s considered effortless to sleep with her at night. Mum doesn’t need to get up to make milk. She too can sleep through. I’m really thankful that missy is able to wean off her milk and diaper free at the right time. So that mum is not tired as she helps to look after didi in the day when LGG & I go to work. Maid intervenes by helping mum with didi. She will play with him, help to heat up my EBM, help to carry didi if required, and help to clean up didi’s mess like after pooing. Washing of milk bottles, sterilizing milk bottles twice a day. When missy is at home, she will help to unpack her school stuff, repack with clean ones, prepare her dinner, and sometimes help to feed her if I need to bath early.

So far, the maid is helping a lot. But, still she has this and that doing wrongly or not my standard. But, I’m fine with her so far. Thankful again, things are going this way now, which ease up a lot of my energy and I can have time to play with my kids. Even with maid, I very much a hands-on mum, who insisted to bath missy, feed her, read to her , talk to her, discipline her as well. I find it weird to have maid to be in class with my child, cos there are maids in missy’s shichida’s class, their parents will leave the child with the maid in the class. How can parents ask the maid to take over this role? One mummy some more said wants her maid to learn how to flash cards for her girl. Shake head.

While in office, I usually will call home to check on things once or twice a day as mum dislikes too many calls which will interrupt didi’s nap. In the office, I will pump milk twice, once in the morning about 11am, once in the afternoon about 3pm. 4 intervals in between. So my work has to be planned around this time. I make sure my meetings are either 2pm or if clash, I have to adjust my milk express timing. So, basically im quite busy lor.. But these days I cant blog in office, so I can have more time doing these. Just nice la.

After work, usually I can leave at 430pm (boss is super undersrtanding, he asks me to go home at this time, if everything is in good hand.) of course, knowing that I can go early, I usually finish all my work before this time. Hee. Then I will go home directly carrying my on the go fridge containing my milk for didi’s meal. Hee

Usually I will reach home around 5pm, then I will eat something, mum usually will ask maid to boil some tonic soup for me. Really thankful to her, with these tonic soup, I can go further and not collapse. *appreciate it a lot mum* After that , I will go downstairs to pick up lil missy, around 530pm , except Tuesday where she has Kindermusic class, I will then pick her up at 620pm.
When missy is home, we will be busy, as we cannot leave didi on his play gym on the floor, as we worried lil missy will step on him or stumble on him. So, we have to clear the floor/gym/mat. Carry didi , unlikely didi will be sleeping now, as lil missy will be making so much noises… playing her piano, singing, or whatever action will wake her didi up.

I will then get missy to drink freshly grind apple juice. Or green bean soup * depends on whether we cook something, else, it’s always fresh apple juice*, then let her watch her Leap frog or we listen to her Kindermusic CD or linking memory CD. I will usually bath her around 630pm, then wipe clean didi (we only bath him once in the morning now). Then, around 7pm, I will feed lil missy her dinner, usually rice. Then, we watch tv while feeding her. I will then eat my dinner so with mum. LGG usually eat later as he comes home later at abt 730pm.

At 8 or 8plus, usually, we will get her to go to her room, to read story book to her by LGG. Or we will play with didi, see him turn and talk to him. He will answer us back loudly haa.

About 830 to 845pm, we will switch off light, get missy to sleep, then I will bring didi to my room, where his cot is and get him to sleep, sometimes he need to suck a bit of milk. After that, I have my time to read a bit of magazine or book. Recently I started the book about chef Gordon Remsay. I’m very interested in his life haa.. how he become such a successful chef. So much hard work ! That’s how I spend my typical weekday.

As for weekend, we have a different schedule. Mum will go to sis place on weekend (not now, as sis still in argentina). So we will sleep together in mum’s room. Missy with LGG, me with didi on bed. Usually didi will get back around 7am, either cos pooing or refuse to sleep again after morning feed. So, we will go to living room, play a bit. Missy will get up by then, catch her sesame street by 8am. Sometimes we will do our marketing and get home before 1030am, as I need to bath missy , feed her lunch before making her to take her early nap by 12noon. Cos her class starts at 2:30pm, we need to leave home by 1:30pm. Then in laws takes over didi. Sometimes we will go over to in laws house, sometimes we stay at our home. Didi now recognize people and place, he will cry a lot when he sees his grandpa or go to his grandparent’s place *shake head*

If in laws bring didi to their place (just 2 streets away), we will go to their house after class and have dinner there. Missy likes to go to her grandparents’ home.

Sunday is the best day of the week, as we can laze at home. No activities usually, missy will play her toys.. painting or watch her dvd. Didi will play with us. Sometimes we go to wet market to buy fish and missy get to see and feel the atmosphere in the wet market.

That’s my days after second baby came along. My life still very busy around my kids. I rarely have time to paint my nails (only did it during maternity leave) or even shave. Haa.. babies quick grow up then I can have more ME time.

Didi turn N turn

19th July 2010:

Didi is 5 month old today; he is getting cuter each day with lots of smiles and chuckles... And he enjoys the playing time with us and with his sister. The two of them really adorable as the sister will touch him and he will make loud loud voice each time... So, it’s their bonding time.

Didi likes to play in front of the mirror, I will carry him and we move towards the mirror then away from the mirror, he will chuckled none stop.. and he will even use his little feet to kick himself away from the mirror. He likes when I carry him and dancing around... He will smile and smile...

He likes us bringing him out for walk; he will look up look down... Turn here and there... Sometimes we have to grab him tightly as he will just turn from left to right with lots of force when we carry him upright chest-to-chest. That’s how active he is now.

And yesterday, maybe he want to mark his 5ft month-old with some achievement, he turn over and then from that lifted up position, he lie down and turn to his back.. Then again turn over and lift himself up then again lie done turn on his back.. 4 times mum said, which I missed as we tried to get him to “repeat” in the evening, he refuses and only want to turn over and lift himself up… hee

My love for didi deepens each day... cos he is sososo adorable... And I love to see my two babies spending time together playing... That’s provided missy is playing gently and not play “rough” la... she sometimes will stroke didi’s face or hand too hard or pinch his didi’s cheek saying “so cute” so many times. And I love taking their photos together. I’m in the midst of doing up photos collage of them... I am procrastinating again. When I have time I take it to read things or sleep... so my study table again piles up like Small Mountain...

My little boy is growing up stronger each day!

Look ! Little Missy is talking!

19th July 2010

Little Missy is now 33 months old. (2 years 9 months old), she is very independent now compare to few months back. But still need a lot of effort to get her to do things or follow routines like get up to brush teeth in the morning and at night, get her to bath, change. She will just refuse to do these automatically but must after several reminders or even have to go with her, and then she will happily brush/bath etc... sigh..eventhough, it’s much easier compare to when she was in terrible two stage, but I would prefer that she can just get up, brush teeth, wipe face, change, ready to go school, at night, after eating dinner, brush teeth etc.. ? Am I asking for these too early too fast? Mm... Maybe I am?

Her vocabulary has improved tremendously which I lost count of how many words/sentences she can say... her mandarin too has been improving! Some of the things she said really amuse me sometimes... Especially the way she speaks mandarin but we are encouraging her each time she speak in mandarin.

Sometimes, when missy is playing with by climbing on me, step here and there and she hurts me, so I will say “stop that, else mummy will die”... I did not assume that she knows what I mean by that as I said it out of anger as she sometimes just cannot stop playing rough even though I told her she is hurting me, one example is she will ride on my back when I lie face down to read something.. And she will sit on me, get up and sit again real hard... My back suffered.

Then, one good day, while we are playing on bed, she suddenly tells me “cannot hard hard, later mummy will die”... I was stunned by her remark. Oh... So she remembers what I told her, if she plays rough, mummy will die. Then I ask her, how mummy dies? She will pretend to die, with tongue stick out... OMG, she even knows what is the meaning of “die”... did I teach her that much? I can’t remember... However, I’m glad she is picking up fast. Then, sometimes, words we said, she will pick up immediately after listening it... Simply powerful! This is why toddler below 3 absorbs like sponge.

Last week, we went for missy’s school for teacher-parent dialog session. We are glad to learn from her English teacher (Miss Yda) and her Chinese teacher (Miss Ou Yang) that missy is a lovely girl in school. She is observed to be interested in activities done in school, participate actively and she is the one who always answer teacher’s questions and other follow her (even though the answer might not be correct all the time) and other also follow her incorrect answer sometimes.. haa. Teacher said she is teachable, affectionate, friendly and always willing to share with her friends. She will console friends who are sad or crying. She talks and laugh with her friends... *girls* teacher said one imperfection about her is that she is very active… teacher said she observed that most of the third and forth quarter babies are super active. Teachers have to calm them down sometimes in order to get them to sleep or do some silent activities.

Teachers retuned us all her arts works... which im going to showcase it at home. And her profile with pictures of her in the midst of her school activities. I find these so wonderful and precious as we get to know what she is doing in school and how she enjoys the activities so much.

And LGG and I feel that we have indeed made a wise decision to send her to school at 22 months-old , even though we had to experience some really tough time in the beginning to get her to adjust herself in the childcare, so much of crying and heartache. But now, after merely a year (we enrolled her in August 2009), she has been doing really well. Partly because she has grown up and also she has caring teacher like Miss Yda who never fail to impress me with her dedication, passion as a teacher. She is a very responsible, attentive teacher who will try to meet all parents’ needs on their children and she follows up, which I think is very important. She even use her own mobile to sms me to tell me info or ask me about my child... I hope there are more such teacher around, to benefit our next generation and also helping parents to feel good to leave our kid with the school.

Well.. shall record more of missy’s schooling in the future.

DIdi vaccination day

today im on childcare leave, as we bring didi for his 3rd jab of 5in1 & 2nd jab of pneumococoal.

so, he has completed all his 5in1, left one booster to be taken when he is 18th month old. while last jab of pneumococoal to be taken when he turn one.

this weekend, we will bring him for his last dose (2nd dose) of rotavirus oral vaccination.

quite fast, and we are on track for his vaccination. didi is now 8.545kg. increase 200g from last month. his michelin still very michelin.. haaa.vey cute now, as he can interact more and more with us..

he can grab things very tighly and anything we put near him, he will grab and pull towards his mouth. he can turn on his chest and lift himself up by 90 deg,(better than me in yoga.. haaa).. and then turn himself down on his back again, and turn on his chest again.. few times..

today i can finally find time to do some online shopping.. and blog and download photos.. normal day, simply cant have the luxury to do all these.. if i have time i rather read up some books to relax.. i've been reading the story about the top chef "Gordon Ramsay".. he is very interesting haaa..

shall post some back dated blog (which i wrote in office when free) and photos..

Y2010 Kids-In-Charge day

Again last week, we had three events on the same saturday.

Morning - Kids-In-Charge day by missys school, they have sports day this year in accordance to Youth-Olympic.

Before we went to the stadium, missy insisted on wearing her new baby mickey's sweater. and when we reached there, Ashley (missy's class mates) greeted her and gave her a hug.. haa so sweet and cute. she is very small size, same month as misst but very small size.

whisle blowing when cheering, missy with ashley and also Insha Akira

missy enjoying the sports day atmosphere

Missy was quite good t obstacle games and hurdle. some of the photos with her in action !

missy with her chinese and english teacher..missy and her classmates wandering on the fields.

each child gets a gold medal for the event !

Afternoon - Shichida class
suppose to be term break but one of the sat sinsei was sick so this week wa a replecement class. we were so earlier, so missy dancing around in class.

Evening - Company dinner & dance

we park missy at her grandparents's home that night while mum look after didi until we took over after our D&D

few snaps before we went to my company D&D

with cols ..sob i still look fat.. esp my arm.. got to work harder !

And finally on Sunday, we had mushroom steamboat at home with sis over

Milkathon

Back dated entry !

Missy's first ever "marathon" or..for her age "milkathon" heee.. on that particular day we were sosos busy running 3 events on the same day

morning 830am to 1130am - milkathon

While on our way thee, missy so happy.we only get the milkathon shirt when we reached there

all toddler drinking the milk at the same time breaking the record. it's mamil milk, which i find it tasted like fresh milk. we drink Gain IQ, so missy maybe not use to the taste and never finish it

After we drank the milk, the 1km walk started.. well, most of us stray half way to tale picture as it's at ECP, beautiful scenary. and missy wanted her daddy to carry most of the time instead of she ownself walk. shake head.. so no sportmanship !

afternoon - shichida class
gong gong drove us there, but due to National parade rehearsal, the road was so jam, we ended up half an hour late to class.. sob.lGG brought didi to sis's place as mum look after him as we planned to go universal studios in the evening and we dun want didi to go to crowded places yet

missy posing for me while we were waiting for bus to go to ah Yee's house to meet LGG & didi

evening - Universal Studio
we went to ah yee's house after shichida class, have our dinner, then off we went to Universal studios

We took photos at the Universal studios globe.. cool ! and we got our tickets from BIL who manage to booked our ticket in advance, so we no need to queue. hee.

In side the Universal studios are shops of various brand.. one of my favourie is Betty Boops.. i almost ot a comb there.. but hold it.. cos if i buy there means im a tourist wor..not worth it !as they mark up the prices there

We catch the Bee movie9each weekend different movies) at the cinema, missy first movie in cinema, she is quite frightened by the surround system as she keep cover her ears..she is so tired and wanted to sleep half way through the movie. the show started at 8o0pm to about 930pm. way passed missy's bed time.

after the bee movie, we went back to ah yee's house to pick didi then ent home.. all knocked out in car.. even the father doze off..

Overall, i must say spore has done well by bringing in the univesal studios ,go standard ! will go again next time !

lucky thing we had our Sunday whole day free at home so we can rest

Father's day

This was back dated entry. but i want to remember this. lil missy came home with this card , made by her teacher miss yda of course, but with her foot print on it. and that sweet poems.

When her daddy came back from work, i ask her to give the card to him and say "Happy father's day" and she did so well.

Rotavirus

After so much huha abt this vaccination, finally we went ahead to take it today. lil boy is happy when doc gave him the oral vaccination, maybe he thinks is sweet.. haa,.. he swallow all. good boy ! last time missy spit out some and that stupid doc din manage to feed all and said is ok.

so one month later we shall go for second dose to complete the whole rotavirus before 6 month old.

end of July we shall go for our 3rd dose of 5in1 & 2nd dose os pneumococoal.

2 weeks back, lil boy had fever for nearly 1 day after his second dose of 5in1 jab. we so worried, cos when he took his first dose of 5in1 +1st dose of pneumococoal he din have fever at all. why second dose will have fever..but anyway, after 1 day (as expected in most child), he is ok. last time missy din have fever for all her jabs.

im wondering, isn't it bfed baby should be stronger ?

anyway, we are on schedule for our jabs.

Lil boy's development

Yesterday, lil bb boy finally make his turn successfully. he has been trying since last week. always got stuck half way , either his hand stuck underneath his body or lower body not enough strength to trun over. yesterday, when he was playing on his baby gym (harder surface compare to bed), he finally turn over on his own and manage to pull his hand out and lift himself up so high..

Mum and i cheer for him, and i quickly smsed LGG to tell him this.. heee..a great effort and progress for him. so, his development matches his sister's. they both can turn ovr at 4 month-old.

and we noticed that he started to show sign of grabbing toys. the bear hanging on his baby gym always get his attention, he will brinbg both of his hands and try to grab the bear. always miss, but he will keep trying and he manage to grab it but cant hold tight and the bear slip away..very fun to see him doing these..his hand0eye coordination is not there yet, but at least he has the intuition to do such action, which means very soon, he will be able to grab the bear and put into his mouth. he has been drooling quite a bit too. missy only has first tooth at 6 month-old. i think lil bb boy will be the same ? shall see

now, he can drink about 150ml of milk at one go, with 3 to 4 hours interval.i have started to store my milk, as i will be back to work soon. at least, when im not around, he has enough milk to drink. hope we can persist on breastmilk drinking at least until he is 6 months old. then we will start rice cereal with him at 6 month-old just like his sister.

I find it so much easier after knowing what is coming, what to do with second child. like more expert liao now.. hee..

Great job my lil boy ! mummy gives u a big hug ! muack!! for your great effort.

didi likes to smile

lil boy loves to smile, i think 80% of the photos taken, he is smiling.. haaa.. he made a good progress on his turning last night. he mange to turn all over on his own.. but one hand stuck below his chest..

See these photos.. he has lots of expression.. cheeky like his sister:0)

I bought the rattle socks for him before he was born, now it's fitting, he likes to kick and kick i wonder if he knows there are rattles on his socks ?

these are photos taken last night, when he made his turn, all of us cheering along.. he is working pretty hard on this. after we help him to turn over face up, he is looking tired.. haa.. mum said once we were born, we have to work hard till the day we say bye bye.. it's very true !

Good job my boy..he is going to be 4 month old next sat. fast fast fast and i'll be back to work sob sob sob

Missy & her Palm Art

Missy loves to do palm art.. she will colour her palm then print it on paper..i drew a penguin for her to colour actually, but she is more interested to print her palm..

recently, OKTO is showing sesame street at 8am. so we have been following almost every weekend, this week was about letter "O', number "7" and penguin. it's very educational. but i wont consider buying their DVD cos wat's the point of buying if the same DVD is repeating the same letter/number? we are better off wathing it on TV on weekends since it's always different and free haaa..

i showcase some of her more mature art work.. including her palm print. she is very engrossed with being a dinasours lately. she is posing as a dinasour to me on the photo..with her messy coloured claws.

missy has been asking lots of questions recently.. she will ask me " mummy, what are you doing ? " when i explain to her what im doing, maybe taking things, reading newspaper (which she can see what im doing actually), she will reply "ohh..".. then when she sees me doing something else, she will ask again "mummy what are you doing" or "mummy, where are you going ?".. and she loves to ask "What is this?" many many times.. either things from book, things from TV.. things she see outside.. etc etc.. i wonder.. she did not ask me so much of "Why" .. but "What".. so, i will instead ask her "Why"...she will try to answer me.. but most of the times none related to the WHY question i ask.. haaa

she now knows the answer for "How old are you?" last time when we ask her this question, she will reply her name. now she knows the answer is "i am three years old" eventhough, she usually answer just "Three" and she now knows when someone says "Thank you" you usually reply "You are Welcome" which she answer just "Welcome" now.. heee..

she is still testing her boundaries at home, things i ask her not to do, she will continue to do, till i flare up or i just the " 1, 2, 3".. she will quickly stop it. and she knows after mummy angry, she has to say "Im sorry mummy" and she usually will come to me for a hug, indicating i stil love her and want to play with her.. she will sometimes ask this question to get some comfort "You want to play with me ?" if i say "No" she will cry or feel sad (after i angry due to her mischievious and ignore her).. so usually i will say "Yes" so that she feels i have forgiven her.

really must have lots of patience handling toddler's behaviour..i tend to raise my voice a lot which i really really hope i can control it and talk to her nicely when she is disobeying things..as i notice she imitates me a lot.. Oh no.. i cant be a good example ! im still learning to be a better parent !

Long journey in parenting!

Dumpling O Dumpling

It's Dumpling festival again..mum made Bak chang last Friday and we had them for dinner yum yum.. i grew up eating my mum's dumpling, so i never like those selling outside, the one mum made was modified according to our liking.. it has lots of "kao lat" haa..

Missy get to taste her dumpling too, eventhough the filling has "rempah" she still can take it, not bad this girl ! can eat spicy food liao

While lil boy looking on his sister enjoying her dumpling (she did not finish it, left most to me at the end), he can try it when he has teeth next time.. heee

Happy dumpling eating !

My lil boy's in action

yeah.. im been sosooss free ..after nearly 4 months at home.. too free until i everyday go facebook and buy "pat kua" magazine to read weekly.. if not bcos of my baby.. i will feel like im wasting my life..haa

and also im too free.. i keep taking my boy's photos.. since missy in school during the day.. so mum and i just nua at home.. while she always reading her recipe books and try out new dishes.. and i (lazy to cook.bake when mum is around) as she will always make good things for me to eat *feel so lucky*..so i take bb's photos lor..

he has been working on his turning recently.. getting better now, he can turn more than half now.. soon, by 4 month he will be able to turn over liao.. tt's what mum and i predicted la.. cos we have been watching him progress each day from side way to upper body turn side way.. now his lower body also turn side way together..last time missy also turned over at 4 months.. so tat's our gauge for didi..

yesterday, didi gave me this very cute smile of his..he confirm can smile more than his sister..so sweet smile

i took some with him too.. after awhile, he is bored with this "game" and "bian" mouth haa.. this has been picked up by his sister.. she will bian chui ba too when not happy following his didi.

Lil boy and his sister

ok..what's the updates this week for my two little baobeis..

lil missy wet her bed this morning, usually she will just wake up and ask to sit on potty when need to pee at night. but yesterday, she missed it.. and by the time she call her popo... she already wet the whole bed.. ohh well.. we have well-prepared for such occurence.. we just replace the whole bed sheet as the mattress is protected by water proof bed protector.. *i feel so clever* haaa.. so, no big deal. such things happen for toddler who just went diaper free.

as for lil master, he is refusing milk lately.. not that he dun drink, he drink but little bit. always left half a bottle wasted. at night too, he sucks awhile then refuse to drink anymore but want to sleep. so my milk has been going down the drain bottles after bottles..no choice .. i remembered missy also like that last time. we always say. we have thrown away many tins of milk powder for her.. now, is my milk... tsk tsk tsk..

this week, im gonna do some shopping as im going back to work soon, got to add some new clothes to my wardrobe..and now is GSS so good time to buy..

lil boy's progress

lil bb boy is now 3 months 2 weeks.. he has since sucking his thumb especially when he is hungry.. or before he wants to sleep..he sucks from the back of his hand then slowly to his pointing finger.. then now thumb. he just dump the whole thumb into his mouth and suck until "tsk tsk tsk" sound.. *shake head*.. he prefer his thumb more than pacifier.. but mum prefer he sucks pacifier than his own thumb, as from her experience (my sis), when we wean him off pacifier, he will stop sucking, but thumb stick with him, so he will suck whenever he wants after he is used to it and even dirty also will suck when grow big..

so, we still insisted that he suck pacifier whenever he push his thumb into his mouth.. haaa.. missy never suck thumb last time..so another difference spotted.

Now, since 2 weeks back, he showed some sign of turning, he started with his left side, but not enough strength yet.. somtimes we will help him a bit by giving him a slight push , and he will turn to his tummy and one hand stuck underneath his tummy, then he slowly slowly adjust and push his hand out.. *Strong boy* we like to see him do this like some kind of entertainment to us.. haa.. cos his expression vry cute like wannt poo poo like that use lots of strength to turn, push his hand out.. then lift himself up.. but he wont last long, the most 5 mins then he will make noise, and we will turn him on his back again..

see this lil happy boy, he loves to talk to my mum (his granny).. maybe they both tiger ( mum is golden tiger too 1950) and this little golden tiger click with the older one haa.. i always sing "liang zi lao hu"..

Play n learn @ home

Besides our LM's home practise, missy just play her puzzle and her toys..

recently, we introduced teachatots to her.. she suppose to arrange letters to form a word, which of course , has not been achieved by missy yet. But what she is able to do now is to do matching of letters to form a word.. as the cat picture will have the word "CAT".. i will lead her to find the matching letters of alphabet to form CAT.. she nows the letter from A to Z now with their sound *BRAVO MISSY*..so, i just have to ask her where is "C" then she will tell me the sound of C then look for C.. then "A" then "T"..

We have progressed from Leap Frog Letter Factory to Words. so, she is starting to understand that letters A to Z when combine together can form words. she can even sing the songs out. *clap for her*

so, slowly we shall try to form more words..still maths is not something she is interested in. number 1 to 10 she is still not keen. will have to work on it more often

Now, my next endeavour is to get her to read more mandarin material. got to do some research on this on what to get her to be interested :)

our typical morning, before sending her to school, she will be drinking her morning milk, brush teeth, wash up, change into school uniform, eat her vitamin C (cod liver oil) then go toilet for pooing (sometimes wil do it in school). then when LGG is ready, we will go out together, she will wear her shoes, cary her own bag, then off we go.

When we reach school, teacher will check her temperature, check inside mouth, both hands for any sign of HFMD, then go in, she will ownself take out her shoes, put into shoes rack with her name, then she will bring her bags in (sometimes, or most of the time teacher will help her carry in), she will then take out her water bottle, milk bottle and milk powder (all labelled with her name) to put on the table and take out her mattress cover and put into the rack.

then, she will wash her hands and join others for breakfast :)

her life is very routine hee..only occasionally, there are changes here and there :)
