Pre-Birthday Buzzz

Oh.. it's coming !! it's round the corner !!.. im so excited..!! k k.. due to this excitement.. im actually already bought some princess-related toys for missy.. gotten her the one set of princess dress up, which she wore almost the whole day, execpt napping and going out (which after i insisted she cannot wear it out)..

and also the princess cutting sets, with the princess chopping board & knife and luckily the fruits/vege do not have princess print on them..

I've got more ideas on the celebration this year, as i feel missy is now knowing better of what she likes/wants..

let me list out the things i've check out;

Item 1: Cake
This is the MUST in the celebration. I've the 3D princess cake in mind. now is either order from home-made type or commercialize type. as most home-made are not halal certified and there is 1 Malay student in Missy's class. so am still thinking. I think likely i will order the commercialized 3D cake.

Item 2: Birthday favours
for me quantity of stuff inside the bag is not important. sometime missy will bring back one huge birthday bag with all type of sweetsss.. she loves it but i frown whenever i see that and i will distract her to only two ot three sweets/choco.. the rest i will dump it away or give to helper.

Likely, i wont do what i dislike. so i have chosen some favours that i feel is useful/meaningful. We even get Missy to write her friends' name on her own on the favour.. well, during the process really made me "lost my temper" again, as she keep writing the wrong thing, ask her write "N" she writes "M" ask her write "C" she writes the mirro image C.. as we use the golden pen to write, she even use her fingers to rub it (testing) and smear the letters.. but well,, at least the names are entirely written by her.. so personalised. i actually allocated few days for this task, but she manage to write all in half and hour time. not bad at all.

I've ordered some princess theme birthday stuff from www.partycity.com too. i've got the princess party hats, princess tattoos..princess plates, even princess games. and some prizes for the games

Item 3: Birthday present
Well.. am still thinking about it.. i ask LGG the other day what should we get her ? LGG look around, s if complaining that "you've bought almost everything that i could think of " well.. am still thinking.

Item 4: Home celebration
Besides celebrating her 4th birthday in her childcare. We plan to celebrate her birthday at home too, as the actual day is on Saturday. But, she will still have her weekend class in the afternoon. So, we have to either do it in the morning ot evening. Which i prefer morning though. I plan to make a castle cake for her. A challenge.. but i like it..shall see how it turns out to be ! im so looking forward to it myself. i've been watching the video of how to make the cake/icing online lately..

Amidst all the excitement and preparation, i want to pass this message to dear missy.
Birthday is the time to thank your mummy for she had gone through the labour to give birth to you. It's not for you to ask for birthday present. If you do get one, you should be thankful.

As year passes by, i hope we can do something more meaningful for missy on her birthday instead of splurging on "wants".. as there are so many children who cant even have a meal, don't talk about cakes.. shall slowly get missy to understand/realise that the world is not always as wonderful/perfect as she knows..

Child-care hand-over

I think i'm lucky in the sense that i have a very understanding and helpful in laws.. they never stop showing us that they are always there to assist in situation that we need them.

Eventhough their style my be slightly different than mine, as i'm more casual, i dont follow many rules e.g dinner must eat all together in table, must call before eating, must pray befor eating, a lot of "standards" in ONG's family.. mine very casual, as we do what we please..ince young.. hee..

Given that my mum is no recuperating at my sis place after her radiosurgery, she cannt take on the looking after didi tasks anymore, as she and we fel she needs to rest more than being with active lil Jared.

So, we ask PIL whethr they can asist for the next 5 months plus, until didi go to childcare, since MIL already retired. this, of course interrupted her "retirement" plan of no alarm clock, swimming every tuesday and thursday, go market and jalan jalan whenever she likes with FIL..

but, we have no other choice wor.. and they understand and sort of .. they agreed to assist.

so, since July, PIL have been taking care of Didi at home, while missy in childcare with maid, which i have ask her to continue or 1 more year, as i feel it's too tedious to start to train a new maid now. she agreed and of course i have increased her salary.

Next year then e think of getting a new maid then slowly train .

So far, allm works out well.. Just hope it stays this way until didi goes childcare.

Chicken Pox and Missy

there was a chicken pox outbreak in misssy's childcare for the past 2 weeks. many of her friends in palygorup, her class (Nursery) and kindergarten are down with the virus.. im not THAT worry actually as missy already taken her jab for chicken pox and lil brother too.

The jab did not mean they wont get it but the attack wont be that bad it'll likely be much milder than for those who did not get the jab. I was informed by her teacher of the same thing too.

And wednesday evening. we noticed two spots on missy body.. one on her back, one on her right ye lid.. it's like pimple/rashes.. no bubbles inside.. so LGG checked and say did not look like chicken pox. so Thursday we send her to school as usual.. but teachr identified it as early stage of CP. so e brought her to see doc. Doc said cannot confirm, if it is also mild one as she already taken her vaccination, unlikely is CP.. mm..

anyway, she has to stay home for 7 days. no school. her school enrichment classes were cancelled for July for the outbreak.

Up to today (3 days later), no new spots on missy body.. so we feel relief too and lucky thing we took the jab. else she will be suffering now with the itching and rdness and also fever.

Phew !

Language and missy

Progress report:

Chinese:
Missy is into her third book now, with her confidence in recogising chinese words, when we watch cartoon in mandarin, she is able to spot the words she knows from the subtittle. Good observation !

We have started lady birds Peter and Jane series. we have started with first few pages, she now can read on her own for
1. Peter
2 Jane

8. dog

We shall continue and learn one new word daily.

As for maths, which im still using SM method by letting hr listen to the Cd and recite the addition. She's not so keen with numbers still but will continue to do that.

Happy learning :)

just want to keep these moments...so precious to me

Miswsy and lil brother kikcing balls... good motor skills from both

ddi loves ball, we have many small balls and 3 big balls at home since he was born

Missy one legged hop

Didi is uite strong, he manage to climb onto the bar on his own this morning

missy more interested in bubbles blowing, she requested bfor it every weekend.

songs of the kid's generation ?

who ? who is Justin Bieber? i only read about this young boy on news about him being popular blah., din even bother to read on.

until recently, col of mine help me to upload many songs including Justin Bierber's song.. there i heard the song "baby" ohh.. then i realise thi is the song that misy has been singing all these while.. as she goes " baby baby bayby ohhh..." even litle brother pick upm this chorus part.. he also goes "baby baby baby ohhhh" really crack us up !

so the first song by lil Jared is Baby by Justin Bieber instead of twinkle twinkle little starss..

How the generation changes. i must make sure im up to date wor... Missy also likes the Jpop song.. "nobody nobody but you" with the action and all.. really must keep up with them..

Missy, where are you ?

Last Sunday, after missy ballet, we drop by at cold storage to buy cherries. Lgg went to pick the cherries, while i carry didi and missy is in the pram.

Then, missy asked to unbuckled ger belt as she wanted to see her daddy pick cherries, so i unbuckled for her. but instead of going to her daddy there, she went to see displays of cakes with another boy, i was just beside them. then , lil didi is saying " apoo apoo" pointing at the mountains of apples in the front and so i just walk forward and tell didi, yes these are apples.. then i turn back to look at missy, but she is not there anymore, left the boy..

i thought she is with her daddy, went over to LGG there who is still picking cherries, no sight of her. ask LGG, he said " i thought she is with you" Oh no.. i cant see her anywhere. i was panicked. so i go inside the store and looking for lil missy, hoping she is just there looking for me too. but no, i went one round, no sight of her.. another round.. no.. my head start to go blank.. i keep saying where are you ? didi also echo after me "where jie jie?, where?" using his both hands making the where gesture.. so, i feel kinda lost, go back out to look for LGG. and he too was missy together with pram.

i called him, but no answer which i have forgotten that he din bring his phone along, as we earlier on plan to go swimming, but as it rained we cancelled it. but i cant think of anything, just very blank.. so i went into the store again looking for missy and LGG.. i was like, how ? both lost ? i hug didi feeling sad.. didi also like can feel what i feel, he just hold on to me quietly.

Then, suddenly, i saw one man keep popping up his head among the crowd.. it was LGG., so i rushed over his side, and manage to get him, there i saw, lil missy holding hand woth LGG. RELIEF, but the first thing came out of my mouth " Why din u answer my phone ? i tot i lost her already !" i raised my voice, ignoring all the stares from the people there.. LGG said, yes, we almost lost her, i did not bring my phone remember ? then i grab missy and walk out.. i felt so relief.. i wanted to reprimand her.. but the little voice in my head tell me, nothing is more important than i have found her.. i should not have come to cold storage to buy that stupid cherries.. i almost lost my daughter..

On our way home.. LGG started to tell me the story. After i told him abt i cant see missy, he went into the store in opposite direction that i went to search, as he feel each one check one side. but cant find, so, he is waiting to hear if any announcement on missy child and true enough , he heard, "one 5 yo, wearing leggings was found in front of guardian".. well, maybe the lady thought missy is 5 yo as she is quite tall. then LGG rush to the customer service, even still bringing the half-picked unpaid cherries along out of the store.. muahaha. there he saw missy crying at the customer service. the best part is, the customer servive did not even verify the identity of LGG and just pass her to him, maybe cos missy din reject LGG, and they tot must be the father.

so, lesson we learnt from this episode, if i were to bring didi to see apples, i should have informed missy first, so when she is done with cake appreciating, she turn around, cant see me, she knows im near the apples section. We think , when she turn and cant find me, she rush out of the store, instead of inside the store like what we thought she did. so she went out of the store and cant see me or LGG. and one aunty saw her crying in front of guardian so bring her to customer service.

so, must always be aware of her and make sure she is aware of us too.. lucky thing we are in spore.. if overseas, we cannot imagine.

Im just glad i have my daughter back.

lil missy @ 3 years 10 mths old

I barely remembered the terrible two phase with lil missy, as my memory always failed me on things that happened earlier. now, seems like i'm facing another terrible 4 phase with lil missy.
She is just so stubborn and not practising her manners in many ways.. Am i asking too much from her? or am i giving her too many "reminders" or am i telling her too mant times that she is "rude" that she takes that as what she suppose to behave ?

ok, let me list out things that she do that piss me and LGG off.
1. dig her nose publicly.. we even caught her digging nose then put into her mouth ! OMG ! We used to tell her to only dig nose when she is bathing, i usually give her some time after bathing(before wiping) to dig nose then wash her hands and face then wipe body and change. This has been going fine and well within my "control" for quite long, until lately, she started to ditch the "dig nose only in bathroom" idea and decided to dig anywhere and anytime..

2. she shouted loudly at her brother whenever they "fight" for toys, i reminded her nth times, didi loves you and you love didi. cannot shout at didi or push him. this will hurt didi. she usually will turn soft and kiss the brother. but this never stop there. she will repeat the same after this episode. headache.. but when they are in peaceful playing term, they are so cute together..

3. she needs to be reminded to greet and answer others. she will greet most of the time when we say, must greet, must call. when people ask her questions, only when she is in good mood she will answer and talk nonstop else, she will ignore or just don't bother.. reminded many times too.. same still

4. She is rude to me and her daddy. She will talk loudly or answer loudly when we do not allow her to do things she insisted to do. usually, she ended up having to say sorry, but this is also after we insisted she said so. the alien catches mummy story works 80% only now, no more 100%..

5. she is taking sosoos long to complete her meal. 60% of time she is ok. but the rest of the time, we need to chase after her to keep asking her to eat faster then she will chew else just keep the food inside her mouth.. like hamster..

Dealing with her so many "pattern" daily really is challenge. i just try to not flare up and raise my voice as much as i could. sometimes, im just too tired from all the things that i need to handled and still have to manage her. The only thing im happy about her is that she is willing to sit down to do our 20 to 30 minutes daily "study time" . i guess tt's a console? and she remembers to say she loves me every night and morning before i leave for work.

i used to massage her back and leg every night before we sleep. She loves that. but recently, due to her bad manners, i told her you are not a good girl today, so no massage., But LGG said maybe we should change our strategy slightly, LGG said instead of saying she is not a good girl, no massage, why don't we say tell mummy what are the good things that you think you have done, and mummy will massage accordingly.

So, she will say, " i eat my dinner very fast" , " i read my chinese book", " i love didi, i kiss didi", " i keep my toys" .. well, tt's 4 times, so she gets 4 times of massage. she is happy. and we are happy. Focusing the child's good points is what shichida method teaches us. sometimes, we just forget.

lil Jared has grown so fast.. too fast i feel.. that he is already 16 months-old now. he is at 10.4 kg. very cheerful. very active. very hungry, never stop asking for food.

verbal wise, he is able to call mama and call very loudly.. ohh..so heartwarming. he can call papa, popo, kakak, jiejie, ah ma now left gong gong haven call. he can say bowl, shoes, fish, wear, mum mum (food), tutu (pacifier), key, ball, where, give give (when he wants us to give him thing), mm mmm (when he wants to pass motion, yes, he can tell when he needs to poo, i even bring him to toilet when we were outside and he told me he wants to poo and really he poo). i asked him to say "A" by showing him the letter, he will say "Aaa" and i said say apple, h will say "Aaappo"..he will say bird and when i ask how bird sing? he will "chip chip chip" and he said two words 'where tutu"..

School is fun

It was like one week ago that missy still crying daily in the morning, refusing to go to school. but this week, she just all the sudden, no more crying, willing to go to school and tell us she likes her frens and her new teacher..

LGG and i simply scratching head, as we have been asking for feedback from her teachers for this situation and in have personally called up theur principle to ask for assistance on this.

well, i guess, children just out-grow "situation".. am happy it has passed.

Lady Birds Peter and Jane

after thinking about it and asking around, i decided to get the whole series of peter and jane for missy and later didi..to start their reading.

I've placed order for series a & b, total 24 books. at the same time, we have ordered 23 lady bird's story books for missy classmates for her birthday in September as birthday favour. We thought giving book to children is better than those sweets and pencil case.. and we can personalise the book to each of her friend on the first page with their name.

So, just 3 more months to go, missy will be 4. her princess theme birthday is going to be materialised soon. all things are princess related.. pheww.. hope she will remember her birthday

mum & her tumour

Mum found out she had a tumour in her braind in 2009, when i was just few months pregnant with lil Jared.. we were devastated.. how could such thing happen, and to my mum..The tumour was diagnosed aftr a MRI was done. the eye doctor was so good, that, the initial suspect from us that mum got cataract, but after the doc examine mum's eye, they found something not right, which to us, nothing is wrong with mum's eye movement.. so it was that, how mum found out she had a tumour on her brain which presses on her left eye nerve.

We went to the neurologist, and my aunt recommend doctor (Assoc Professor) Ivan as her friend's mum had brain tumour and was successfully operater by him. he is the doctor who attend to Lee KY's wife. So, we went to him, he managed to remove mum's tumour, mum was given a all clear and her vision resume after the operation in August 2009.

But, the good news did not last long.. ever since last year, mum started to find her lft eye vision is deteriorating.. i have been asking her to go for check up for her eyes, but she is the typ who do not want to accept reality, as in she rather don't want to know than to know what is going on.. she said, what's there to chck, im already old kinda thing.

well, after discussions with sis, we finally get her to go back to eeye centre, which we were right, we were too ate actually, mum was diagnosed with glaucoma, but the eye pressure was too high, that her vision was affected, it was not reversable, so we did a laser for her to reduce and control her eye pressure, it was done in March. her left eye vision was blurred since. even after the laser procedure, it did not help.

in June, as follow up for her glaucoma, her vision was detected to be detriorating too fast, he eye nerve was weak. so, the panel doctors had a discussions on my mum's case and Dr, Ivan again into the picture, we did anothr round of MRI. they saw a very small tumour (left over) but active, it started to grow around the eye nerve. it's in mm, which to some, it may not pose any problem. but to mum, as the way the tumour grow, it pressed on mum's left eye nerve.

Thus, mum was suggested to do radiosurgery to stop the growth. We wll be doing it end of this month. Mum already went for her consultation for this procedure, did her mask, and will be doing anothe round of pre-procedure MRI & CT scan.

Mum is quite demoalising, but when thing happen, we just have to find cure/solution, yes, it's ok to feel sad about the situation, but we still have to move on..i told her. at least, there is a cure for it, and we are here with her.

Life sometimes is so unpredictable, mum is very healthy, exercises and hardworking, she eats simple and never hve unhealthy habits, and why tumour. it's just unexplainable.

Finger cross, mum will be ok after this radiosurgery.

I wish her nothing but pink of health.

iphone 4 & me

well, i always feel i dont need a phone that has many functions and applications. to me a phone is just or me to sms and call. the simpler the better.

but i guess, sometimes, i must keep up with the trend or technology.. as almost 90% of my cols are using iphone or android.. or anything that is touch screeen and have lots of applications blahhh...

i felt so left out at times, mine is still with keypad and no other functions other than call and sms.. oh dear.. even my uncle col have upgraded his to samsung galaxy touch screen with internet and all.

so, my phone contract expired in June. so, i was tempted for many months.. to get yself a iphone, since the phone bill was covered my company, why not and i can get the phone free, the only thing i need to pay is the data plan, whihc i was reccomended to subscribe only 1G for normal internet usage, so i did and it cots me $9.30(after 7% GST) a month.. a steal i guess..

so, now, im holding a iphone4 16G with so many applications.. i thought i will be having "phone-culturre" shock.. but hey, i just ot into it real fast, the touch screen was no problem at all..

i can online, login to facebok during office hour, just to update status and check my forum on my online purchase, which usually i can only do it at hom.. wooo.. nice, but i feel too much of all these wont be good for human to human interaction. as everyone us busy with their phone..

i ty not to download games and all and will refrain from getting missy to play with my phone as much as possible..

it's convenient to have iphone i must say.. for 21 months.. shall see if i will continue to upgrade to iphone5 muahahha

Chinese Learning progress

it's coming to a month now.. missy has completed the book 1 which consists of 20 chinese words. we are now into book 2. Im happy we are progressing well. As i worried she may forget the words in book 1, i still flip thru the book 1 to get her to read out th words only (20) then book 2 is to read the words+the sentences. she is doing great so far.

as for english reading, teacher yda showed me missy can read some simple story books that they did during literacy time. she can recognise words like car, go etc.. In kiasuparents forum, they recommend lady bird petr and jane series. i ask around, many told me, no need to buy the series, just some simple 4 to 5 words in a sentence a page book to read with missy. but those ladybird books we read daily are long story, not simple words like 3 to 4 sentences a page kind..

still considering. now, i feel investing on these material is ok, as i can reuse them for lil Jared.

School Not Fun

This is the answer missy gave me when she talked to me in the phone this morning. she again refuse to leave home to go to school, which is just downstair.

It has been like this since May, crying in the morning. refuse to follow her daddy to school, ended up, grandma has to bring her down with didi.. with so much coaxing and all.. even promise rewards and all..

till after so much talking before sleep, rewards dangling.. still she cry and refuse to go to school. The only thing in her school is the changing of her English tacher and also her chinese teacher is on 2 weeks leave now due to her sons all got HFMD, all three sons..

so,missy dun feel comfortabke with other class teacher/relief teacher .. and her new English teach (third one) is not as friendly and not as passionate as her teacher Yda. sigh. talkng abt quality of teacher. the first day she took over, missy missed her nap which was never happen before.

teacher Yda said it's a passing phase as there are some of her classmates too been cring like this , one since Jan, but all ok le.. now, missy start.. sigh.

So, just finger cros, missy will adapt to the new teacher , their style and all.

World flag

Mummy in SM class been sharing world flags chart that they bought from popular. I thought, hey, it may be the best time to get missy to recognise the flags. she is at her peak in LM.

So, i got the flag chart and i make them into LM format, 50 cards per sheet.

So, we shall do Flags LM for this month. Hope missy benefits from this.

Learning Hua Yi

we have been on the target .. set my me.. ha. missy is now at the last pages of the first book for baic chinese (20 chinese words) she can read a whole sentence too. i'm so happy.

Now, we have also include chinese poem recital since her memory is very good, she can pick it up very fast. we recite one poem a week. we have done two so far since we started 2 weeks back

1. xiao shu bao

2. Yu zhi ying

this week, we will recite

next week, we will do the rao gou ling

glad that missy is showing interest in reading/recognising chinese words ! Happy learning!

25 Manners Every Kid Should Know By Age 9

25 Manners Every Kid Should Know By Age 9
http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/parenting/25-manners-every-kid-should-know-by-age-9-2480238

Let me walk through the manners with my missy:

Manner #1

When asking for something, say "Please."

check. Missy was taught to say Please as young as two, she practices it well but this practice reduce by age. But we still insisted she say that whenever she ask for things.

Manner #2

When receiving something, say "Thank you."

check. same as #1.

Manner #3
Do not interrupt grown-ups who are speaking with each other unless there is an emergency. They will notice you and respond when they are finished talking
check.we started noticed Missy interrupting when she is about 3 plus, when we are on phone and discussing things among adults. I have told her about this manner.

Manner #4
If you do need to get somebody's attention right away, the phrase "excuse me" is the most polite way for you to enter the conversation.
check. same as #3.

Manner #5
When you have any doubt about doing something, ask permission first. It can save you from many hours of grief later.
Check. Asking permission is required for things she wants from fridge, my phone and etc. she was told to ask. But still need reminders to practicing it.

Manner #6
The world is not interested in what you dislike. Keep negative opinions to yourself, or between you and your friends, and out of earshot of adults.
No. We let her say what she wants. I like kids who are verbal and outspoken. She is allowed to say what she dislikes. Of course say the appropriate things.

Manner #7
Do not comment on other people's physical characteristics unless, of course, it's to compliment them, which is always welcome.
check. I have told her this manner too. She will comment some people as “fat”

Manner #8
When people ask you how you are, tell them and then ask them how they are.
not yet. I just remind her to greet elderly and friends. Seldom people will ask children her age how you are.
Manner #9

When you have spent time at your friend's house, remember to thank his or her parents for having you over and for the good time you had.
I think this need to start teaching her. Maybe start with her grandparents house visit

Manner #10
Knock on closed doors -- and wait to see if there's a response -- before entering.
check. She was taught this manner. But seems like not practicing much, she will jst open the door and come in without waiting for response.

Manner #11
When you make a phone call, introduce yourself first and then ask if you can speak with the person you are calling.
Phone manner still in progress. She seldom get phone call.

Manner #12
Be appreciative and say "thank you" for any gift you receive. In the age of e-mail, a handwritten thank-you note can have a powerful effect.
check. Be appreciative.

Manner #13
Never use foul language in front of adults. Grown-ups already know all those words, and they find them boring and unpleasant.
check. Sort of.

Manner #14
Don't call people mean names.
check.

Manner #15
Do not make fun of anyone for any reason. Teasing shows others you are weak, and ganging up on someone else is cruel.
check.

Manner #16
Even if a play or an assembly is boring, sit through it quietly and pretend that you are interested. The performers and presenters are doing their best.
check..

Manner #17
If you bump into somebody, immediately say "Excuse me."
check. Need practising.

Manner #18
Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, and don't pick your nose in public.
check.

Manner #19
As you walk through a door, look to see if you can hold it open for someone else.
Not yet.

Manner #20
If you come across a parent, a teacher, or a neighbor working on something, ask if you can help. If they say "yes," do so -- you may learn something new

Not yet..

Manner #21
When an adult asks you for a favor, do it without grumbling and with a smile.
check. Sometimes I need to repeat my request for her help.

Manner #22
When someone helps you, say "thank you." That person will likely want to help you again. This is especially true with teachers!
check.

Manner #23
Use eating utensils properly. If you are unsure how to do so, ask your parents to teach you or watch what adults do.
check.

Manner #24
Keep a napkin on your lap; use it to wipe your mouth when necessary.
check. She is reminded not to use hands on food and not to put fingers into mouth.

Manner #25
Don't reach for things at the table; ask to have them passed.
table manner was taught but not full-fledge yet. To be continued I guess

Musical in Missy

I learn Piano for 1 month during my high-school time, i learn violin for several months, but i stopped as i decided to come to Spore to further my studies. i continued in NTU, but i stopped after not long, as i dun have time to practise and always go to class not able to play properly. so my violin has been in my store room collectin dusts.

now, it comes to my missy..i surely want her to pick up some musical instrument, either piano/violin.. as i always believe children who has some engagement with music wont turn bad.. they will likely be more creative and know how to adjust their emotion.

violin is not easy. the holding up pat already is so tiring. some more the string pressing is not kids play. ur fingers will turn rough. piano may be better. I ask my frens and cols who has older kids.. they recommended yamaha piano, Yamaha Junior Course, a 4 years course, many feedback that this course is very enjoyable for the kids and they start by listening and parent will sit in the class with them.my col even learn to play simple notes during the sit-in haaa, not bad

my fren who sent his bot to art house violin class seems to disagree that yamaha piano is good. her son learn the violin for at 6 months and already started to have his solo performance. but i feel my ultimate aim is not to let my girl to perform or show off.. i want her to have a skill that she can make use of next time..

an option to her career maybe.. in any case she decided not to pursue her career in the field she is studying.. and wants to be more arty ?

well.. i let her start her bllet .. and after she turn 4 in Sept, we wll start piano lesson. this is my plan now. shall see if it works out well.

After today arts performance for missy school, i ask missy if she likes to see the girl who plays violin, she said yes, then i ask if she wants to learn, she said no, she said she plays piano.. wow.. she some how help me to decide le..

Drama and speech

Wanted to enrol in June holiday Drama and speech for missy. it will be 5 days , 2 hours classes and then sat will be their performing day

http://www.act3international.com.sg/holidayjune.htm

but, after thkining abt it with LGG< we feel we are unable to take leave for 5 days jst to send her to the class.. this will interrupt her daily routine in childcare too. so, we shall KIV this option, maybe we shall see if any interesting ones in December, they usually have it twice a year (June & Dec) when there are long school holidays

currently, missy is joining her school enrichment class for english drama and speech since Jan this year. they have been dancing, role playing.. and they have performed today at the Spore Arts festival , indian dance.

I love to let missy have more of such experience as this will help her to boost her self-confidence, overcome crowd-fear, stage-fright and also be more out-spoken. beside that, these activities will help her exert all her excessive energy to good use. and be more creative esp on role play in drama. it can help children pick up a language too. Missy is also joining her school chinese theatre, they will have performance in year end.

Shall follow up on any good programs on drama & speech.
