I have been replacing one of the breastmilk with formula milk since didi turned 6 month-old in August. and since i have pro-long the milk pumping time, and reduce the pumping from 5 times (4 hourly) to 4 times (6 hoursly)
7am - pump before go to work
1pm-2pm- pump in the office
730pm-8pm-pump at home
2am-3am pump at home
I noticed the milk amount has reduced pretty fast since i stop latching. and with the above schedule, there is no leakage or engorge. the milk suply has reduced to 150ml only. after didi turned 7 month-old in September, i then prolong the milk pumping even more..with the pumping schedule below, ( 7 to 8 hourly) and i have cut down on early morning pumping, just occasionally i still get up to pump cos didi wants to drink and i thought instead of formula , i just pump and give him instantly. then i would adjust the next pumping time.
7am - pump before go to work
1pm-2pm- pump in the office
730pm-8pm-pump at home
OR
3am - pump before go to work
11am to 11:30am- pump in the office
730pm-8pm-pump at home
the milk supply usually around 140ml or 120ml.. much lesser now, except for the overnight pump, which i still can get 150ml or 180ml..so each month i shall slowly reduce the expressed milk supply until completely cut off. feel a bit nostalgic but i guess it's time for my bb to be free from me as source of food. heee..
I've been eating a piece of cheese daily with bread and drink milk to ensure im not being depleted from Calsium. and i try to consume cod/salmon on weekly basis to ensure my milk contain healthy supply of DHA.. other than that i eat as per normal.
so, i have stopped coffee for more than a year now.. i dun crave for it anymore. im thinking should i just stop it for good ? haaa..
I have lost quite a fair bit compare to 3 months back ( the time when i started to go back to work ), but my tummy still protrude like a small mountain.. sigh.. got to do a lot of exercise to tone it up. and stretch marks on my inner and side of my thighs.. sad.
