Adopting a Child

A fren was telling me he is going to "adopt" a child from third world country..

Actually this is more to sponsoring the child of your choice and donate certain amount of money to them to help them to have a better life in term of education and life necessities..

my fren is in the process of choosing his "kid" hee..

I dunno.. i find it hard to do this for a long term.. cos if i want i would rather just donate one time to any of the charity organisation than to do this as a long term commitment..

But..i can imagine how proud u r.. if one day the child u sponsored become someone useful and contribute to the society .. cos he/she gain help from me and that she is given the chance to study and then help others in her country to enjoy the same benefit as herself/himself..

but still being selfish or whatever reason.. i think im not ready for such commitment.. wish him luck though...and hopefully the child he sponsor will have a better life..
