AfteR-ThOUghT..

Went for the rescheduled interview today.. this time round it's the company VP who is under the weather.. very unusual interview.. as he din ask any 'techinical' q.. and a lot of silent moment.. ended up i ask him questions.. he n the hr keep going through my resume..as if thinking very hard to come out with a question..weird..

Here are the questions asked ( write down before i forget )

Firstly, give us a brief introduction of yourself

He said Curious, why i will go into OS since not many people will actually do OS..told him this is my first perm job since out of U.. so happen to get this job.. naturally i start off my career in this area.. im not keen in pragramming, thus this job suited me

She asked me basically what i'm doing for my current job.. give her a brief explaination

A long pause, they r running out of qs i guess, so i ask

Basically, what will this posiiton be doing? administrator servers ? internal servers?

--> he then briefly explained to me about the job.. the company.. where r they heading..
--> from the description, it seems like it requires in-depth network skill <<-- he said yes
--> they r using linux n windows servers

my turn to ask, as i;m curious, in my resume i dun have experience in windows or linux.. what make him thk i;m suitable for this job ?

-> he said window is easy to pick up.. linux almost similar to hpux.. unix is more valuable.. mmm.. okok.. aceptable.. as i thought the same.. heee

Then, he asked

what make me want to leave current job

--> since i cant use "oracle" as selling point, so i tell him i've worked with hpux for the past 2 1/2 years.. i knwo i still have so much to learn but as we r in IT line..we should continuously upgrade out skillset.. thus,, i went for courses and decided to move on from current job..he nod nod said fair enough?!?

tt's all we have i think.. then he said they will have few more days of interviewing session and will definitely keep me informed of the status.. positive or negative.

anyway.. this job definitely require strong network skill. which i fear i may not be competent.. anyway.. shall not let this trouble me.. will think abt it if only they decided to hire me

2 more days and it's end of 2004...so i'm left with 2 months more to get a job..and i have lesser n lesser motivation to work...

J has been idling these days.. each day she chatted with her chat fren n posted all kind of funny qs.. that does provide some entertainment to both of us..she said she will pick up her Japanese..next time if she is out of job... she can teach Japanese..

so.. what's my plan in case im out of job... this may happen 2 months later..sigh.. i told her.. maybe i will go n learn yoga.. teach yoga instead.. everyday twist n turn..heee..

mum is around.. everyday can have home-cooked food... so nice...mum always the best !!
