i really really experience what is 'office politics' now..
fighting behind each others back.. shooting emails.. talk sarcarticly..whenever have chance .. any other team making mistakes.. the manager will LAUGH n start to add salt to the wound.. smiling..

sigh.. when the department head 'fighting' people underneath them will become enemies too.. really victim....

Today.. went to a new product briefing.. can see the head of few department.. talking also like smile in front.. but fight with sword behind.. teng teng teng..

another ridiculous thing my boss did..
he is eating biscuits.. thos with cream in bwt..he eat the side without the cream.. the creamy side he gave it to his "dog".. cos he said he dun want to eat sweet stuff.. OH MY GOD.. what he thinks his 'dog' is ??
BUT the worst is he also gave it to me.. say.. eat lah.. dun scare.. eat already can from temp become perm.. really cant believe what i heard.. really have such people !!!!!!!!!!!!

In the evening, a col bought swiss roll.. he eat a bit.. then gave the rest to his 'dog'.. so the dog eat all the 'left-over' ..mgr said nvm.. he work very hard so can afford to eat all sweet stuff !!!.. nothing to say abt him.. really..


sigh.... anyway..this is really eye-opening..wat a place to work.. n people here can live very well if they have god relationship with their bosses.. u need not be capable.. this is the living examples in this company.. sighhh.. must be clever to polish shoes.. then can go a long wayyy..

Ganglion cysts

actually i've had this lump on the back of my wrist since i was in U.. but it is not painfull.. will dissapeare after awhile.. and after awhile it comes back.. so it's on n off kind of thing.. not painful.. so i din pay any attention to it..

Recently.. this lump came back..n it stays much much longer.. dissapears .. n comes back.. now still have it.. not painful..din know what it is.. until JL send me the link below:

Ohhhhh.........so this is it.. a Ganglion cysts .. luckily not cancerous..the cause of getting it is not known.. so if feel pain then must see doc.. i thk maybe i'll leave it first unless not comfortable..

SundaY...

Another Free sunday... no more lesson on sundays.. so good.. been going for sundays class for 1 year plus... now suddenly sunday is like an extra off day for me.. so good... sleep till 10 am.. then wake up slowly.. take breakfast.. watch sunday tv programs that i usually wont get to watch.. heee.. what a luxury.. can even take a short nap.. how i love sunday..

anyway.. today i still need to figure out some work flow.. so draft out some plans in the morning.. will onyl on my pc in the evening..cos must relax mind first.. stress when come to work..

my sis came back from Melaka and show me the photos taken from home.. they celebrated mum's birthday.. sob sob.. i din join.. they din tell me !!!!!!!!!!.. bad sister !!.. chen chen is getting bigger.. very strong boy.. looks much bigger than i can remember during cny.. cutey cutey.. i guess i will go home soon too..heee..

Sue is starting her new job tmw.. happy for her.. and she said she is nervous.. i think all of us will have this feeling when goin to a new environment. cos we dunno what is there waiting for us.. and what they expect from us.. can we handle?? will we like the place? will we like the colleagues? will we....???.. sigh.. i've been through that 1 month back.. now im fine with the work place.. try to do as much as i can to IMPRESS the boss.. haaaa.. at the same time try to balance my life with my work.. cos i notice that i start to bring work to do at home.. DAILY.. even on sunday.. cos i cant really thk properly in work place.. maybe cos no proper seat.. all sharing the tables.. how nice if i can the individual cubicles like my old work place.. so comfortable..

well.. we never get everything we want... have a bit of here n there.. good enough lah..so fast.. this weekend im getting my second pay .. hooo.. time fliessss...

BukiT tiMaH-inG

Did not exercise for the past 5 weekdays.. so decided to do some exercise this weekend..decided to go BUKIT TIMAH.. heeee...last week MacRichie.. this week bukit timah..very on..

we din go early.. went there after lunch..we had chicken rice.. forgotten the name of the shop.. JL said this is the famous chicken rice during his parents day..not too bad actually..during lunch it was raining..but timing was good.. cos after we finished.. rain stopped.. so off we went to concur the summit of Bk Timah..

quite easy at the beginning.. less than 5 minutes walk, there will be a resting hut..but when we started the super steep slope.. we both out-of-breath..JL still ok.. i'm like old-lady.. so tiring.. imagine if i climb Kinabalu like this.. phewwww...

anyway.. we reached the summit in less than 10 mins.. nothing much there to see...no nice scenary.. both sweat n smelly.. n we went Orchard after that..

Bought 3 bright colour t-shirts, dark pink, pink & green. Finally i bought green shirt, i wanted to buy for so long.. cos i always see people wear.. look nice..so decided to buy..always see ah Yong & Tom wearing bright colour shirts to work.. make me also want to add some colour in my wardrobe..

tired day but fun cos spend time with JL & visited bk. Timah.. n bought my colourful shirts.. fulfilling day.. heeee..

MacRichiE TrEe ToP wALk

Yesterday.. need to pass the cold wear to suh.. so i decided to join them to the tree top walk.. got up at 7am.. and meet them at bb nearly 8am.. rush like mad..met jia, suh, n Kenny.. then take bus 852 to Macrichie and join ML, EE & CH.. too bad the other CH din come.. else.. we have "show" to see.. heee.. we r suspecting ML + the other CH have thing.. heee.. just from the way she talk to him via phone.. so soft.. n gentle.. n smile smile smile.. ahem.. n the other CH so helpful to her.. n they almost on phone everyday ?? he even visited her home n had her mum's cooking.. woahh.. that's fast.. heeeee..

We r like chatching up each other's.. talk n talk.. luckily the joruney not too tough.. mostly down slope.. heee.. but we walked for 3 hours altogether.. the tree top walk was not bad at all.. quite scary.. especially when it is shaking..heee..
too bad JL not here.. anyway.. we may come next week.. heee.. but not so early.. make it later... can sleep moreeee...









so this thursday JF they all gonna go n take the challenge of climbing KK .. wish them luck.. im looking fwd to their juicy news.. abt ML+the other CH of their sunrise storiessss.. abt Kenny + "we shall see who".. heeeee.... and of course the beutiful pictures of KK..

another week ending.. Tmw FRIDAY .. Yipeeee..how im looking fwd to this day....so what have i done this week ??? must always revise my work.. else i'll end up like doing nothing..

(1) submit power point slides
(2) relabel the weekly tapes
(3) attend meetings with boss and draw the flow he requested.. felt like
secretary .. really..
(4) meeting vendor tmw..
(5) tmw got to start relabel the monthly tapes.. stupid team lead ask to do..
felt like labour..dirty jobs..
(6) thking of the signboard for servers.. main door and pantry.. found out no colour
printer.. so how to beutify ??? $%#%$#$$
(7) tot of goin paper less.. no checklist for operators.. but this need a hell lot
of work.. programming...so must thk properly.. col said must write proposal for
bosss to show him how effective this is..
.... other than that.. im just cont to beutify my flow charts.. so now im damn good at drawing flow chart... phewwww


2 more weeks then will have money flowing in my account.. heee.. quicker quicker.. cant wait also.. only motivation now..

JF was saying that she is bored with her job.. wanna get a job that will have chance to move about.. go overseas n stuff.. sigh.. when really get this type of job also tired.. anyway.. we worked for less than 5 years already so sick of our job and working life.. imagine those who worked for 30 years.. salute salute them... no wonder low morale.. no motivation.. sighh...

i guess.. now.. other than work. i need to see other side of my life.. maybe i should start to thk seriously abt when should i get married and when should i have kids.. but when talk abt this.. remind me of today's newspaper..

when the mgr interviewed for my current position.. he asked me..

i wonder if he will still hire me if i said yes ??

that's why i thought of teaching... cos then will have all the time to have family planning.. haaaaa.. cos government job ..can have full 3 months maternity leave.. ghuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

It goes like this..Gis wanted to attend some web design classes which i suggested to 'sell' to her for 300 bucks..If she were to sign up these classes alone, it will cost her more than 700 dollars.. since mine is in a package so i anyhow quote lah..

Before i left x-company.. we had lunch with BK.. Bk & Gis both din bring enough money so i lend them..

After some time.. when im about to leave the company...Gis n i were on msn.. i think she was saying that she still owe me money.. i tot she meant the lunch so i told her no need lah.. but she tot i meant the course fees.... she even said will treat me nydc..i was like woahh.. so good ??

actually it's chicken talk to duck..

This Sunday.. she online.. so i told her abt the courses.. courses already transferred to her. she can register for the available classes now.. n ask her if she is goin to transfer the money through atm to me ?

she was shock cos she said she tot i said no need to pay last time!!!
HOOOOOOOOOO.. i then told her....i'm not that stupid right ? $300 wohhh.. $3 maybe lah...what a misunderstanding....

anyway.. she will transfer the money to me.. have yet to receive by now..

sigh.. next time really must clear some things before proceed.. else confuse and many both party not happy..

ApRiL FoOL..

It's been weeks since i last writing in blog.. lazy .. super lazy.. always come home.. online.. do work.. draw flow charts lah.. do documentation lah.. and lazy yo write..

Guess what.. I've survived through.. April already.. and i've got first salary already.. haaa.. Magic.. wonder how i can live through the days..

Anyway... Boss still keep pressing me.. say me U grad..qualified, should b brainy.. so must always thk of ideassss.. new ideasssss... like how to beutify the data centre.. make it look professional.. make it look interesting... how to draw nice flow charts.. to impress his boss.. i feel like designer now

im like changing field.. doing something so different.. sian.. and see some "DOG" follower who always tag along with bosss.. beh tahan.. how this people do it ? despise him really..really eye opening.. to see really have people "polish boss shoes" until like that.. SALUTE

I haven go gym for nearly 2 weeks... so lazy.. wonder why im getting sooo lazy for everything..old liao ? sighhh..need lot of motivation..

Today. spend morning time to do the stupid tapes.. print barcode.. paste barcode.. then send the flow charts to bosss.. expected. he said he wants detail flow.. %$#$.. then spent the other half of the day draw the escalation flow.. they already have still ask me to do.. like different version. stupid monkey.. waste my talent..
boss still ask me to see if can design this n that..said can put some cartoon pictures.. siannnnnnnnnnnnnnn.. professional ??


complaints.. complaints... phewwww... no choice.. cos im human..

neway.. i guess i'll give myself 1 more month.. or maybe 2 more.. then at least i can enjoy the D&D.. haaa.a. if not good.. i shall start looking for other jobs... lallalalala.. well.. there is always hope.. now just try out this new job scope..

EnD of SeConD WeEk..

seond week already.. so what have i done ? i've met up with all the 14 people in my department..start to do slides for my departmetn as mgr wants a proper/updates slides that he can use for presentation.. and need to update departmenr documentation..

actually not much i've done..a bit eng eng.. cos support job the others do liao..
... dunno leh.. i still think i haven prove anything to the mgr of my ability to work ? like so lost still..maybe just do those documentation first then see how it goes.. they said im mgr's secretary.. phewww.. siannn

Buddy up with Thomas, Yong, Jenna.. they r nice people.. we even plan to go bangkok in July.. they really fun one.. both Thomas & jenna married but still so on !! but nice lah.. cos make the work interesting.. not so bored..

after 2 weeks there.. start to know how the people work.. n how mgr work.. he is those speak according to people one.. and got mood also..

Anyway..quite ok so far.. hope i can show to mgr that im worth staying lor.. else also sian.. no motivation..

next week pay day.. heeeee.. pay is the only drive for me now..

This morning ..met my French boss.. hoo.. nice eyes.. transparent.. cute.. ghaaaa...

Today i've learnt few things..restoration from few applications.. learnt all from Yong.. he's been very helpful indeed...

3pm...Thomas chio us down for coffee break.. haaa.. good life.. listened to other colleague gossiping abt other colleagues.. guys also lots of gossips..tsk tsk tsk..

i've been doing daily support.. i guess this is not enough.. as my main role is to enhance the existing process...?!?..whenever thk of this.. make me stress.. i'll try try try to do my best lah....no stress then can produce better work ? we will see..

Anyway..nothing much to write here..tmw maybe go shopping with my sis.. wanna look for bag..

4 more days to weekend.. so looking fwd to it already.. sigh.. am i really that tired of working life????

No WorK daY

SaTurdaY.. no work.. yipeee.. never go work-out today cos lazy.. clean house.. iron a full basket of clothes..then go out with JL...

Wanted to buy working bag.. cos the one im using, the strap started to peel off...but never see any one that im tempted to buy..no nice clothes that i feel like buying too...

went to IT show.. soooooo tempted to get the ipod shuffle.. $178 for 512Mbytes.. but after thinking through.. compare this n that.. never buy.. sigh...nvm.. wait first see if the price will drop a bit.. heee..

JL asked to join his family's bbq in the evening ..her aunty is goin back to US.. so they have a bbq..feel weird at first....but ok lah.. quite a nice family..friendly and im just eating.. n no need to do other things.. haaaa.. being served.. so good..heee.. super hot day .. plus bbq.. make us sweat n sweat.. phewwww...

Suh is having exam soon.. saw her online..wish her luck.. i hope i dun have to take anymore exams... super stress..

and one more day.. then im back to work.. May this week a better week than last week.. :)

5th Day n IT's FRIDAY baby @_@

hoo.... hoo..hooo.. friday.. friday.. so fast.. 1 week already.. cant believe it.. and im still alive !!!!.. this is the best part !!

next week my job has been arranged as team lead is on leave for a week... perm staff have 24 days of leave.. so envy.. today manager told me.. he will convert me to perm.. now work as contract first...mm.. dunno if he say this just to motivate me or what.. anyway.. i'll try to stay lah.. unless i can take the pressure..then i go wipe pc...become cleaning lady.. no need to use much brain..

So.. what i did today ?
morning went to tampines office.. at 1030 .. travel down to Tung centre for compliance briefing.. then visit Jason and he brought me to third floor to see the etrali voice recoding tape... all the bank phone transacntion r recorded here.. VERY critical n cant afford to lost any data.. pheww.. scared to even touch it..

After lunch.. went back office.. boss crack a joke.. said the lady auditor called him said she cant access the door.. and he tot i called.. he jokingly ask me to buy coffee for him then surely can access the door..the lady auditor was so puzzled why ask her to buy coffee...haaaa.. gila bosss..50+ but look like late 30s.. dark.. tall.. fit.. and quite ok looking lah.. must have done something.. else how he maintain... even my team lead who is 30+ look older than him.. ghaaaa..

after that..attend a new application briefing..some new software will be added on this weekend.. bosss wanna me to pick up this too.. i've got many to read up.. eyes wanna drop...but today din do anything much actually...

After work.. came home..tired...so...enjoy weekend and work again next week ..gotta start work seriously liao.. now still like learning stage.. haven put in gear like that...!!

I hope 1 month later i'll be saying... im looking fwd to go to work..heeee..

4th day @ work...:)

Glad to see my own blog is getting relaxer each day.. heee.. meaning i'm getting used to my working environment...

today manage to get the access GUI up.. actually very easy.. there is a autoform to convert the databases to GUI in access.. phew.. n i've wasted so many days to do it manually.. so stupid.. anyway.. at least i learnt something now.. Team Lead is ok with the GUI but he actually want this to be shared on lotus note database as "shared file" so that other department can just fill up the form and we dun have to do the manual key in.. so.. i have to learn how to do it in lotus note.. when then i can stop doing this.. siaoo

And im suppos to get the barcode vendor to design the inventory software for us.. where to find.. still searching.. phew..

today i started taking my first ticket.. doing oracle database restoration on AIX.. heee.. Yong has been a great help.. he is really patient in explaining things.. so i guess i will go to him whenever i need help.. :))

Feel so lucky cos JL has always been there to support me..without him.. i really dunno if i can pull through...thankful to have him..



what else to say.. continue to thk of how to improve improve improve.. enhance enhance enhance.. my brain cell is more active now..heeee..

mm.. fast... 3rd day already.. n u know what.. mgr on leave today.. Yipeeee...

Team Lead wanted to have these few things automated:
(1) capture unikix start time daily and persent into statistic (graph)
(2) tape scanning method is very manuak and hard to verify whether the right tape is
being placed into the safe..

mm.. what can we do with the 2 ??? for (1) i think instead of manually keying in the time for the 13 servers into excel and display on graph.. we can use macro to ease the process? sucks.. i have to try to do this again...

The excel macro done yesterday for room access.. is not so good though.. they r using access form instead.. so i thk i will continue from there..

Today went to project mgt training.. seems like some poepl is not happy with some people ... the way C talk to team lead is full of sarcatism.. must be careful with this guy.. as he talk bad abt other colleague behind their back..

next week team lead will go on leave for a week.. sob sob.. hopefully i can survive without him..i really thk he is so nice..and helpful..

today my insurance agent sms me abt a temp job.. woah.. din expect her to be so responsive n helpful.. last time i met her i told her i've resigned and haven got job.. if she have any lubang must tell me.. haaaa.. she is sweet lah..

SeConD Day @ woRk

ReaLLY cant or Din sleep much/well cos keep getting up in the middle of night.. and once wake up.. will thk of how to do the macro.. sucks.. really stress..

a bit scared to want to go to work.. cos dunno what will happen again.. keep thking thiking.. and i finally came out with the work flow chart.. seems like they dun have this properly done on the intranet .. so maybe i can suggest this to manager.. else he must have tot im not contributing?? stress stresss..

So.. talked to Team lead on this n the operator.. they dun really need a proper guideline or work flow.. as they r so experience and know what to do and how to go abt when encounter problems with the applications.. but for new come like me.. no workflow will be a bit of a confusion...so i brought this up to mgr.. n he seems to welcome this idea.. and what else.. i have to do it lor.. phewwww

so altogether abt 10 applications.. each applications supporting various countries.. i thk i shall start with small one first.. get an idea how to do it first.. pheww...

the rest of the day im doing the macro.. surprisingly even the programmer who created the intrate dunno macro.. siaooo.. anyway.. my progress is quite ok.. im left with the date.. the rest mostly done.. hopefully tmw can let team lead use.. i took 3 days to come out with this..

lunch with Ros.. heee.. she is not really like her picture.. she look younger.. but very stylish.. one hand red finger nails.. another hand green finger nails.. haaaa... she is mad abt korean man..

Anyway.. today is better than yest.. hopefully one day is better than the day before.. and i can survive till next year...

FiRsT dAy at WorK

StreSS StreSS.. first day at work at already the manager chase me for enhancement enhancement enhancement.. changes changes changes.. improvement improvement improvement...siaoooo..so many applications.. so many processes .. so many documents to read.. unless im super fast learner.. else i thk 1 month also cant come out with anything ..

Jeffrey been very helpful.. patiently answering all the question/doubts i have.. and teammates r ok.. some very cool but when talk to them they r very nice people..

lunch with manager & Jeffrey today.. manager's treat..i really thk this manager likes to talk.. as he talk non-stop.. abt everything.. from handphone till actor Li nan Sing.. phew.. no wonder he is manager.. and he takes mrt to work.. never drive.. surprising.. he starts at 8am and go home after 8pm.. daily.. never fail.. phewww.. guess what.. my team mates too.. i left abt 630 no one leave yet.. dun care.. first day to work.. must not stay too late..

i will have very busy work days from now on.. now then i understand the life of being busy all time on work..n how we appreciate weekends... im looking fwd to weekends already.. still so long .. so far away..

Tonight must come out with the excel+access for Jeffrey.. so long never do this.. really need to read up ..

received IR8A form yesterady.. so it's time to fill up the IRAS thing.. hopefully wont get tax too high.. last year i deducted my course fees and got some income tax relief.. this year i claimed again.. full claim.. cos this year i paid whole year ghaaaa.. hope this will help to relief the tax payment too..

Tmw first day to work..so looking fwd to it and at the same time quite nervous.. Thomas kept saying i sure cant sleep.. im telling him.. i surely can sleep early.. cos i can sleep a lot..

my table still messy .. the same mess since few months back.. i really really want to tify up.. but just could not find any place to put all the papers.. stuff.. hope i have a more organise cuboard or something.. make me thk of IKEA..storage.. haaa

Since im starting my job on monday.. so i wont go for Bee Bee's wedding lunch.. cos it'll be too rush for me to come back to s'pore after the lunch session ( probably will end around 6pm or so ).. and i dun want to tire myself over the long bus journey..so called her up and tell her.. she sounded dissapointed but no choice lor.. anyway i will still give full ang pow even i cant make it.. heeee...

Today went to the training.. on HP Proliant monitoring software ( SIM ).. met up with my teamates Jeffrey ( Team lead ) and Operators team ( Thomas & Jason ), 2 other colleague from NT team as well.. they are friendly and easy going.. we can chat and joke without any problem.. glad that this if going well on the first meeting..

They were telling me how fortunate i am to get into BNP.. cos it's really hard to get in.. Thomas said he went through 5 interviews with panel of interviewers 6 years back.. n when i told him i went through 3 times.. he said im damn lucky.. haaaa.. and i got lots of information from jeffrey, the team lead on the job that im going to do.. he is hong konger.. being transferred from HK to s'pore.. happened that i just came back fro HK trip.. so we have lots to talk abt HK.. what a coincidence.. he is very polite.. n somehow i sense a bit og "jackson" in him.. haaa.. i'll be working closely with him.. so must make sure we can get along well.. i thk should not be a problem..

i need to help to enhance our operational internal websites.. come up with inventory design idea.. and they r using access for that.. meanwhile i need to learn how to use macro in excel.. woah.. these r really non-teachinical work for me.. i've done these before but not really good at it.. seems like i need to go through the book i've got/learnt from informatics to refresh... phewww..

from Jeffrey they get to travel to South East Asia.. Japan, HK, India.. cos when new installation, need to go down to check n ensure everything is working fine.. heee.e. hopefully my turn will come.. waiting eagerly..

after the training, went down to HR.. sign employment agreement..and lots of other contracts.. to read and to sign.. tmw will do medical check up.. and my claim for medical is unlimited.. woahhhhhhhhhhh... but no dental cos contract :(

anyway.. i shall try to work hard n provide good quality work.. hopefully have chance to convert to perm.. then better benefits.. haa hoo haa hoo
